I don't get how this matches the theme.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → Baldaquin VII - The monster of Rome

I don't get how this matches the theme.

"You're too hot to live and I hate you!" It fits the game very well
it looks nice.
I really liked the idea of playing a game on a Grecian urn, that worked really nicely. I'm not entirely sure how closely this fit with the theme, though.
I don't think I've ever played a game before where the primary threat is being catcalled. That's a really cool addition.
The gameplay was simple but enjoyable, the platforming was smooth, the navigation puzzles were light but engaging, and the audio/visual presentation was really impressive.
I really liked this game - well done!
The principle is original, but is she a monster ?
Very innovative use of a Greek vase as playfield with different height-levels, took me a little to get it. And those dudes are really harassing, that's not fun. Still, I don't get how this makes me the monster? Still very interesting mechanics, although I didn't know which house I was meant to enter once I got all the ingredients...
Feminazi Simulator 2015 B.C.!!!
Good job! I loved the idea of the game in the jar!
Very original, the theme isn't there though!
Really creative idea for a platformer! I love the graphics, they fit very well. I do think that the thematic pieces - "monster", street harassment, and ancient Rome - never really came together, but I like what you were going for. It would have been good if the harassment actually impacted gameplay instead of just being annoying.
Nice concept and ... well finished ;)
I didnt get the fact I could climb on columns. After that everything was fine. I love the fact that your game is drawn a jar this is a very refreshing idea. I'm not sure for the theme, as a man, I never had to suffer this kinfd of harassment, but I was thinking woman feels more like object than monster when it happens.
To anyone complaining about the lack of theme, please finish the game, it takes between 2 and 3 minutes. No one is supposed to rate an entry without spending AT LEAST that ammount of time on it. You are just exposing yourselves as bad ludum dare'rs if you say my game doesn't fit the theme. I admit it's just my own interpretation but it's not nothing as some people seem to imply. Whould you like me to fly over your games like you do with mine ? I think not.
I like the message and the whole presentation is courageous. Also like the Monty Python reference ;)
Your idea is really great, but i'm not sure that you choose the better way to show it. As first i was thinking that the monster are the men and that story will finish badly.
But you're idea is smarter, maybe by using a more agressive gameplay at the first person view, and create a surprise with a mirror at the end.
For the pure game, the gameplay is too hard, but the idea of the level on the vase is nice it would have been really graphics with a rounded deformation, and maybe a rotation of the vas. A better idea could have been to make the game on a naked greek statut to stay in the theme.
Ans this idea of so pretty that it became horror for people is really a great idea for a game.
Very nice project guys, i really love it, please check our game too and if you liked it give us a vote. Look for Road to hell and enjoy.
I expected some pay back in the end ^^
Very nice graphic idea!
I liked it. The idea for presentation on a vase was great. I can see it work as a good and original platforming mechanic. The gameplay was a bit short but enough for compo I guess. I liked the music. Sound effects were OK.
Theme is supposed to be a guideline not a rule and your interpretation is good enough for me. Good work!
Awesome graphics!
