This game can run in Chrome, but I cannot move with mouse. I can attack or restart with keyboard, but there's no response when I move or click mouse.

jasper-hansen 2019-10-08 00:08

Seems like an interesting idea, but the mechanics don't fully make sense to me after finishing what's here. Just something for you to consider.

irock 2019-10-08 00:26

@tmpxyz You have to click on the portals. Maybe I should have made that more clear.

herman-chau 2019-10-08 00:57

Hmm, I agree with @jasper-hansen, there I finished and the mirrors didn't fully make sense to me. The first level with the exclamation block didn't seem to do anything with the exclamation block and there were multiple levels that seemed to have unused components?

I think the basic concept of being able to only move to the portals and then manipulating the portals instead of your character is an interesting mechanic though!

dylan-wolf 2019-10-08 01:10

Really nice presentation and it feels like a solid basis for a puzzle game. As with some of the other commenters, I didn't quite get some of the concepts, but on a second playthrough it started making sense (e.g., what items get moved by arrows, when arrows trigger, where mirrors must be to trigger).

I think a few extra "filler" levels between introducing concepts would help reinforce the rules.

jesusache 2019-10-08 01:32

I thought I understood the mirror mechanic when they first appeared but the further I advanced the less I understood :p It's a bit too easy to just brute force through a couple of the levels, and even after getting the answer I was still a bit confused. Graphics are super pretty, I could stare at that soft palette all day, and the music is super catchy too. Looking forward to what you do with this concept!

patvanmackelberg 2019-10-08 02:10

Love the cute graphics, neat concept with the portals and mirrors and such. Great submission!

alchemic 2019-10-08 02:31

Neat concept, but the level design could use some polish. It feels like the puzzles are too restrictive, like there's only one possible way to progress, and few ways to make mistakes.

I think this idea has a lot of potential, I love puzzle games like this.

unept 2019-10-08 12:29

Love the concept. Like you said, might be worth exploring further. Moving with the mouse and "attacking" with the arrows feels a little weird, like it's opposite day, but it's probably the best way to play the game. Great work as usual.

Nice puzzle game ! I loved the concept, the aesthetics, and how the various mechanics are introduced throughout the game.

Pluses : - Smooth graphics, catchy music - No need for a tutorial with such an excellent structure - Definitely original gameplay

Possible improvements : - As @jesusache said, the mirror mechanic seems straightforward at first, then appears to be more and more complex, leading to solve the last few levels by sheer brute force (ie. more or less random clicking).

Overall, great game !

pixamentory 2019-10-08 15:11

Nice game but graphics , tapping on portals should be replaced by something else.

kp-cftsz 2019-10-08 15:49

that song is an absolute banger

jharler 2019-10-08 15:50

Great puzzles and a very interesting mechanic. I loved the pixel art and music. Well done!

viktya 2019-10-08 15:59

i like it! the art is simple but well made, the audio is catchy and blends with the game. nice submission ^^

nachtwitch 2019-10-08 16:44

Love the art you have, would love to see you make a commercial game

led-zend 2019-10-08 16:52

really impressing...

aleksandar2901 2019-10-08 17:20

Really like the music

ferdi 2019-10-08 17:27

Super cool little game. Nice graphics and interesting mechanics. Deserves to be polished but awesome job mate !

caliban 2019-10-08 17:29

The style is very nice ! I was a little disapointed about the short lifespan and the complexity, I wanted more but the graphics and the music made me forget

toge 2019-10-08 20:48

Clean & nice simple graphics, very likeable experience. Great music, created a welcoming uplifting mood and the synths made me feel as I were in space myself. It was a little bit confusing to go through the puzzles for a birdbrain such as me, but nothing I couldn't get over in the end. Lovely entry!

sylvie 2019-10-08 23:30

That was a fun short game. Very cute graphics and audio. I won, but I never figured out how the "mirrors" work.

pedro-rosa 2019-10-08 23:34

The game is really interesting and clever. I had fun playing it. The part I likes the most was the art style.

cgixe 2019-10-08 23:44

I enjoyed the idea, but would have liked more levels. Great job nonetheless!

ajahks 2019-10-09 00:46

The mirrors were very confusing to me at first. But as soon as I figured them out, I think that they are super clever! Nice work!

swanijam 2019-10-09 02:27

This art style rules. also the music and the concept. Hey i love this

danilo-freire 2019-10-09 03:19

Congratulations to the team, this game is very cool! I really like the mood of this one! <3 I had a little difficulty understanding how the controls work.

aj-jones 2019-10-09 04:32

I love that you guys decided to just make a game on the theme you liked, i was hoping for Unconventional travel as well. Game felt great to play and had an awesome vibe!

taylor-reynolds 2019-10-09 04:39

Really clever game! Love the mood and the color styling.

arzi 2019-10-09 07:06

Really nice puzzle game! The mirrors warped my brain though...

custardcosmos 2019-10-09 20:40

While the split controls - moving with the mouse and attacking with the arrows felt odd, that oddness didn't last long. You've got a pretty good concept here, and I can see why the controls are the way they are. It's all good, the audio, he visuals, the presentation. Really great work!

empty-set 2019-10-12 10:32

Short and sweet. Nice use of the not-the-theme. Good presentation, both the visuals and music. Some of the mechanics aren't super clear, though. I'm still not sure I understand exactly what it is the mirrors do, though I was still able to complete the game despite this. Maybe there could be some sort of visual indication of what they do? Would definitely play more levels if they were made.

pl4typus 2019-10-12 18:57

I actually couldn't get a grasp on what was going on with these mirors unfortunately (it felt really unnatural while being central in the gameplay ...).

Sorry ! (I'm a puzzle gamer usually ^^')

amerigo-gazaway 2019-10-20 19:17

Cool puzzle mechanics! Love the music as well. I'm also from Nashville but live in Cali, let me know if you ever wanna collab or team up on a jam!
