LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Splendid Adventures on a Sunday Afternoon by blinry 2018-05-02T20:34:26Z

The music, art and gameplay all come together well in this game. It makes me wonder what it could look like, if you spent more time polishing it and expanding on the story. As a game mechanic, reading the platformer while you play is great!

Lucky Towers! by FormalCloud 2018-04-24T15:10:03Z

This is really a lot of fun to play. The polish is astounding. Is there a way to trigger next wave sooner? I'd also love to see more slot features (like 'hold' or combos). But it's already REALLY good!

Ping Bang Pong by geck0 2018-04-29T02:15:23Z

This is fun to play. As others have said, the physics play a huge part of it. I'd love a to try a PVP version of this. :)

Draw Me Something by Yirggzmb 2018-04-24T14:58:31Z

This is so much fun! I was watching the gifs as you made it, and was very excited to play. It's a really great combo!

A Tribute to Mayhem by TechnoNugget 2018-04-27T00:13:58Z

The controls confused me at first, but I had a lot of fun playing. Especially jumping on top of the floating eyeballs and watching them bounce away, for some reason that made me lol.

Text Based Adventure by patvanmackelberg 2018-04-27T02:18:55Z

This is a solid game with a lot of potential. I like that it's not too long, but part of me also wants more. :)

System Override by thiagofr 2018-04-29T02:10:24Z

The sounds made me jump at first, but after a few seconds I started getting it, and had fun with the puzzle aspect. Has potential if polished.

Fat Panda! by Ethereal Psyche Games 2018-04-28T23:47:17Z

What a difference a team makes, and you all did a great job with this one. Looks good, sounds good, plays well and just the right amount of frustration. Good job!

City Blocks by legavroche 2018-05-02T18:00:00Z

This was great! I love breakout style games, so that part was already a win. The word-typing integration is a great feature - I want ALL THE BONUSES! but of course, if I try to get them, I set myself up to fail in the other part of the game. This mechanic works really well. The SFX and music are some of the best matched I have heard, across the titles I've played so far. Well done!

Card Commander by Mr.MadCat 2018-04-26T23:29:17Z

It works surprisingly well and is quite fun to play. The audio started getting on my nerves after a bit though. :)

A Tale of Two Towers by Articulated9 2018-04-26T23:24:29Z

This game reminds me of some of the very first text-based RPGs, I used to play as a kid. So, yay for that, and well done.

TaiChi by Dreamer 2018-05-01T14:20:41Z

Love the idea! It could use some polish, of course, but the concept is neat and the mood/audio is great. There is a meditative quality to it, which is very fitting. :)

Double Trouble by MaxKlimenok 2018-04-29T07:13:00Z

So much stress, yet so much fun. Is it weird that I want to play a VR version, and dodge meat cleavers and spatulas while texting and catching food?

Cruise & Co. by Blinkenlights 2018-04-28T23:43:24Z

YESSS! This game is a lot of fun. I love the element of risking the safety of children because they themselves are being demanding.

The Colossal Carrot Caper by rush 2018-04-26T23:23:28Z

Definitely one of my favorites so far. I like the music chosen - it goes well with carrots!

RogueFarm by jmw327 2018-05-02T20:42:06Z

Great genre combo, first of all. Trying to farm while being assaulted by monsters kind of reminded me of a cute, 2D version of 7 Days to Die. It has a ton of potential for expansion - good job!

@igor-kingamer Nice catch! I'll take a closer look.

Crazy Cat Collector by theprint 2018-05-02T16:43:29Z

@injured Thank you very much. I appreciate the feedback, and will take it into consideration in the post-LD update, I am gathering notes for. I'm glad you liked the twisted humor. :)

Ludums Kitchen by tommohawkaction 2018-05-01T14:11:51Z

I'm glad, I watched the tutorial first. Fun game, once you get the hang of it - I like the genre combo and the graphics especially. My only point of critique is the audio - the sfx are a bit unbalanced/jarring, but that is really minor. Good job!

Brute Force Art Defence by Shellfish Games 2018-04-29T15:02:52Z

This is a fun take on tower defense. I enjoyed managing the upgrades and positioning along the path - and believe it or not, the clean graphics are a big plus! My only wish: greater variation of cards!
