That was basically a 60 second virtual D&M.
Very much Thomas was Alone. Nice first try :)
Nice and atmospheric music, fit the aesthetic well.
The gameplay was interesting, although I was a bit confused by swapping screens so often. I didn't really understand whether I had a choice in which character to progress with, and whether it mattered.
Maybe I should have read into it more, but perhaps a simpler starting room, could make it easier to grasp the importance of the multiple switches, multiple choice and story text.
Also I feel the puzzles could have been a little bit harder.
Great Job!
Good game. But finished in less than one minute.
Good Game, But I would suggest more levels.
Good! a little bit short but I like it
Love the concept, and "monsters within" imo is the best we could get out of the otherwise quite boring and generic theme. Good job.
I really like that! Great first game man. It was short and sweet!
I like the atmosphere.
I felt the theme/text to be somewhate disconnected from the gameplay, but the concept was interesting and appealing.
Congrats on finishing your first game! The concept was a bit vague for me at first, and the buttons very random, but on the second try I liked it more and found the more satisfying ending. :)
Btw, I extracted your game in my downloads folder. I used your uninstaller to delete it afterwards, and was not careful enough apparantly, because it deleted all my files in my downloads folder! Oops.
Oh no! I'm sorry that happened!
Thanks for all the responses guys. The feedback is incredibly helpful.
Thomas was Alone? Cannot give high score on innovation but the gameplay is really good. It s immersive even if graphic is simple.
Nice, short little game. I didn't notice the blue to red ratio until the end XD
Really touching, personal entry. The mood and writing are really spot-on. The ending implied that there was more than one way it could've gone, but as far as I could tell there was only one way to progress through each screen.
Anyway, love the way the puzzles and story/analogy are tied together. Games that nail that are my favourite.
Thought provoking game - had to play through twice to really get to the meat of it but now I cant stop thinking about it. Really clever in its execution and I gaurentee I will be thinking about the message and execution of the game for days to come
Simple, but effective. I didn't really understand what was going on the first time, but after playing it through again it became clear.
Cool first entry!
Multiple choice. Or the two guy you control are not just helping but also competing. It is something rare to see.
Hey, not bad for a first entry! Liked it a lot, actually. A little shame that the story doesn't exactly evolve based on the stats, but I do appreciate the multiple endings.
Some criticisms: The buttons were a bit cryptic, and I often resorted to using R to restart a lot to get the desired ending. I think the game could benefit from added sound effects, too! Still, I do think this is a huge accomplishment, both from getting the first game done, and for providing an engaging narrative. Awesome job!
Really neat concept! I included it in part 20 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/WVNLcoTqal4
Thanks for the play through, guys. It was really awesome to watch! :)
@Omiya Games: I like those criticisms! Looking back, I should have added multiple endings and worked the buttons to be less random. I intended to have sound effects added in, but I ran short on time (even though I still submitted to the Jam). Thank you so much!
Feeling very elated after playing your game. While the graphics were simple and the puzzles very easy, the piano and the short sentences for each level made up for it, very nicely put together and great take on the theme!
