The game looks pretty complex for a Compo game. The Story is interesting. (It even works on Linux with Wine). This game could really do with some Music or SFX.

korso 2015-08-24 17:37

Good level, I would liked a tutorial, but finally I completed. Nice concept and very related to theme.

goodolvic 2015-08-24 18:22

Dig the mood and graphics. I'd want to play a game that looked like this.

Tough to play, though. That hindered the fun factor.

razavidn 2015-08-24 19:21

Every time I try to download it tells me it's not a valid archive :(

zammalad 2015-08-24 19:30

Seems like you managed to get a lot of feature in for such a short time so well done. Love the concept and graphically it is very pleasing. Took a while to get used to what I was supposed to do but then enjoyed it. Shame about the missing audio and I did have one crash http://pastebin.com/GjSu6nfY (log file for you)

Overall though very good effort

mrsylar59 2015-08-24 19:30

It's a good game! but quite complex to play though...

toomuchpete 2015-08-24 19:32

This could be a really neat little puzzle game! It's a great start for such a short time period, and sound would really help it a lot.

One thing that might make the game a little more challenging is to make it work like tower defense, except that the spirit has to prepare the lair before the hunter walks in, and the hunter will try to complete the maze without using resources if he can.

kidando 2015-08-24 19:33

I liked the graphics the most. It would have been awesome with some music in the background. Congrats on submitting your game!

aden-manson 2015-08-24 20:34

Very nice level design.

insality 2015-08-24 20:34

good game and game-mechanics, but some complex too understand it from first time
anyway, nice entry! Graphics++

frokes 2015-08-24 21:38

Really cool idea. But it could have used a bit more "tooltips".

halleflux 2015-08-24 22:43

A lot of trial and error is involved, and it's a bit slow when you're doing it over for the third time =P
However, I really like the idea. Well made, theme inspired, and good looking. Well done!

unnamed1334 2015-08-24 23:20

The logic portion of the game was good. The controls and information needed to be better. I am still not sure why I could go over some of the gaps but not others and it took a minute to realize that there was more then one way to kill the glowing eyes.

reactorscram 2015-08-24 23:34

Had some trouble playing it in WINE on Arch Linux: http://i.imgur.com/msqeTqY.png

The text is garbled and I got stuck. The hero didn't want to shoot that second monster. Also I couldn't figure out if he could jump or not.

andybrown 2015-08-24 23:50

I thoroughly enjoyed it! It took me awhile to understand that you could cut the vines with your sword, but to be fair it's the logical thing to do, but I had "0" uses on my sword left so I didn't think it would still work. I could see this working as a full game, it's a fun concept.

eingya 2015-08-25 02:21

That's a really cool concept for a platformer!

bentglasstube 2015-08-25 02:23

A cool concept for a puzzle game - would love to see it expanded upon. I really dig the art style.

thedashdude 2015-08-25 02:41

A tutorial would be very good for a game this complicated, but quite fun once I figured it out.

wijnen 2015-08-25 03:40

Neither of the Linux versions worked for me (32bit was expected, as I don't have many 32bit libraries installed). The Windows version works in Wine, but the text was unreadable. Without, it was still a cool game. Impressive for just 48 hours!

lowercaserho 2015-08-26 06:51

Cool idea, and mechanically sound, but I spent more time figuring out the interface and the rules than figuring out the puzzle. Has a lot of potential if only youd had time to squeeze in some extra UI work and some audio.

ybalrid 2015-08-26 11:01

Fun litle game, the graphics are cool and it's original. Audio would really make it better... Still, it's really cool ^^"

gagapete 2015-08-26 19:36

Thanks for creating a Linux build of your game. Unfortunately I can't get it to run (64bit Arch Linux). After pressing any key in the start screen, I get a Invalid Memory Access error.

But the startscreen looks awesome, so do the screenshots! I may can't rate the entry but still, thank you at least for trying.

daveh 2015-08-27 04:07

Alas, the Linux crash bug was an easy fix but doing so revealed another game breaking Linux-only bug that wouldn't be allowed by the rules. Testing during development for Linux next time for sure!

koba0100 2015-08-28 03:22

Very cool and interesting idea overall, but teaching the mechanics in-game would be extremely valuable to the experience.

boardtobits 2015-08-28 05:28

Cool concept and nice graphic design style. A couple rough edges on the controls like the extra machete use and the jump icon (didn't realize what it was for a while), but all in all a good, complete game.

keyboardmonkey 2015-08-28 06:00

Nice idea and pretty good graphics!

By the way, I got the game running under Linux, the spirit led me into the cave, I saw it transform, and... segfault.
Would love to see this game grow.

crucknuk 2015-08-29 19:41

Nice concept! Could be developed further!

Biruts 2015-08-31 16:59

Very nice project guys, i really love it, please check our game too and if you liked it give us a vote. Look for Road to hell and enjoy.

hexagore 2015-09-04 16:02

Sorry, your OSX download didn't work for me. :(

philomory 2015-09-06 21:41

OS X port hangs on launch. Running from the command line, I get:
