LD33 — You are the Monster

Random Alien's Guide to Defending blah blah blah by Michcioperz 2015-08-24T23:55:00

Whoa, great work in such a short amount of time. I'm happy to see Construct 2 getting out there.

Devil's Thoughts by ponk 2015-08-24T23:59:00

I dig the concept here. Your mechanics are actually really fun! "Unfinished" if you say so, but I like the submission.

Monstaaaaar! by ilikescifi 2015-08-24T23:35:00

Great work! Simple and easy to play, plus the 50s monster movie theme was well done.

Escape of the Slime Monster by airfrog 2015-08-24T23:22:00

Nice idea! Dealing with the aftermath of a monster's rampage is seldom given its due attention.

The Werewolf Among Others by arzi 2015-08-24T23:18:00

Dig your approach! It reminds me of Drac's Night Out on NES. But man, that hunter is on you the moment you turn. Nice challenge I reckon.

Wolverados - The Good, The Bad and the Lupine! by jhrrsn 2015-08-24T23:15:00

Your mood is fantastic. I dig the the use of music and sounds to make you feel like you're out in the wild.

Fishbowl by Mase 2015-08-25T18:39:00

I am the Monster.

Great work and dig the tears/flames mechanics. I wanted to burn down the world, I did.

Oni Yu Can Scare Them by ChosenCharacter 2015-08-25T00:11:00

Great game! I dig your art style and general aesthetic. I was just thinking the other day that there aren't enough games where you possess stuff.

Surf Monster by Beardo Games 2015-08-24T23:42:00

Nice! Great visuals and theme. Humor is a nice touch and I admire your approach to the theme.

Floating Arm Takes Selfies by sandbaydev 2015-08-24T23:23:00

Looks like the download is missing.

Mutaman by Gipzo 2015-08-24T23:46:00

Whoa, great visuals! The approach to the theme is unique in the sense that the player can choose to change or not. It's not clear if there's a benefit to remaining human, but the game's quirky style doesn't need strict moral elements.

You Monster! by Jared Sartin 2015-08-24T17:49:00

Dig it.
- The narrative. Blobs are sadly absent in our modern lives.

Don't dig it.
- Tough to control. I couldn't get the timing down.

Suggestions.
- The blob should grow! I expected it to get bigger and bigger as I ate people.

Karapo: A Tale of Bear Humorism by davidcollado 2015-08-25T00:16:00

I really dig this! You took the theme and made something subtle, as opposed to a literal approach. Plus, bears wearing hats and being sad is a guaranteed victory.

Lying in Wait by whalebot 2015-08-24T22:44:00

Fantastic entry and perfectly designed for Ludum Dare! I enjoyed it, though as someone mentioned 5 floors is a lot to wait through with the limited number of options. But then I think that's your point...

A Heart between Parts by LeafThief 2015-08-25T16:37:00

Ahh, excellent! This is what I tried to do as well: a short adventure that takes place in a single room. You did an excellent job. Good luck with that bug!

Hydra Confusion by concalf 2015-08-24T23:00:00

Nice idea! I never wondered how a hydra manages all those heads until now.

Monster Of All Trades by cynicalmonkey 2015-08-24T19:49:00

I commend you for taking on a logic-heavy game! Numbers, man.

It was difficult to play, which I'll blame on my inexperience with the genre. A tutorial or guide would have been nice but it's understandable to omit that given the time constraint.

From The Jaws of Death by demogorgon 2015-08-24T19:51:00

I appreciate that you tried to deviate from the standard infinite runner concept.

It was difficult to figure out the first time, but I believe I got it. Could use a tutorial page with quick instructions.

Misunderstanding by HACKhalo2 2015-08-24T20:01:00

I love this. Taking the theme and making something really unique and subtle.

It's obviously dark, but your implementation of such a messed up concept is great and makes the player truly consider what he/she is doing. The long walk is especially troubling and excellent.

Breaking Monstrosity by Deadpan-Gamez 2015-08-24T18:11:00

What.

I liked everything until the end. I'd play more of it if the game was in that style all the way through.

Lure.Lair.Lunch by daveh 2015-08-24T18:22:00

Dig the mood and graphics. I'd want to play a game that looked like this.

Tough to play, though. That hindered the fun factor.

Bloodstream by Xentai Inside 2015-08-24T23:39:00

Whoa, brutal! I liked the story behind it and your approach to the theme.

St. George's Academy for Monster-Slaying Lasses by AlariSilver 2015-08-24T18:46:00

Dig the mood and style of game here. I love dialog and choices.

The dialog itself was a bit heavy-handed in relation to the theme. Just needed a subtle approach so it feels more natural.

Overall, cool approach, and I like the multiple endings.

Monster Loop by Perkovec 2015-08-24T22:31:00

I dig the idea of swiping up on enemies. Great for a mobile game. And I always appreciate some minimalist art.

Monstre de Coiffure by Patacorow 2015-08-24T22:18:00

Nailed it.
