LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Orange Juice by Enchae 2014-12-08T23:47:00

This was originally for the compo, but oh well. Things happen. :)

Thanks for the advice NickMakesGames. I've added in something to move it along a bit faster. :)

Orange Juice by Enchae 2014-12-13T20:37:00

Yeah, sorry about the 'getting stuck' part. I did add in a temporary solution (Press S) while I try to fix it, but I can't for the life of me figure it out...

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Sky Plant by HD408 2015-12-15T03:54:00

Yeah, "2 hours prior to the deadline" That's rough.

I feel the strongest aspect of this game is the controls. I felt that the very gradual turns actually added an interesting challenge. Also, the vine itself looked pretty neat. Everything else was pretty meh.

Sadly you can tell it's two hours of work, but hey. Every game counts! Hopefully you get more gamedev time next time!

:)

Vine Climber by careless 2015-12-16T03:47:00

I really like the music, the colors compliment each other nicely, and it's a very interesting idea!

The graphics were... okay, That one tile looked nice ;)
But my main problem is how the framerate dropped a lot which is strange considering how simple it seems.

But that's forgivable! Good entry nonetheless.

SUPER PLANT FRENZY by Glint Games 2015-12-15T03:28:00

Interesting. I was a little confused at first, but I understood soon enough.

The controls were a little difficult, but I assume that was for added challenge! Nice graphics, The sound all work well together, and that beat was bangin'. The polish left a bit to be desired, but eh. I can't really be a critic on that.

Overall, not bad.

Bellows by TaylorAnderson 2015-12-16T02:28:00

Wonderful! I absolutely adore the sound choices, the graphics were nice (Although I think I a sepia color palette would've added more to the atmosphere), and it's challenging.

Although I do think this game would benefit from three button controls, overall I gotta give this a some nice ratings.

Good job!

Man, that was harsh. But better something than nothing!

MANE by Enchae 2015-12-17T00:25:00

I fixed the music... sorry about that.

growing snake by SpiritJZL 2015-12-16T03:32:00

Really nice. Pretty easy to understand, and the sound was simple and pleasant.

I do think hitting your own body should've ended the game instead of the points thing because it adds more risk. (and I had a little bit of trouble resetting after dying)

Other than that, though, really nice twist. Solid entry.

McBitey by weggel 2015-12-15T03:40:00

Neat idea! I like the multiple movement options, the 'stun' mechanic was not extremely obvious, but I got it shortly after.

The game definitely could use some music, and maybe a different font, but I like the simplicity and overall feel of it. Good job!

Time Block by Dalkor 2015-12-16T02:37:00

Really interesting. Great use of the two button controls, it had a nice, foreboding atmosphere, and the music was on point!

I do think it could benefit from some more uniform graphics/visual data/particles to make somethings more defined and look prettier.

But other than that, pretty solid entry. Good job!

MapleCopter by TheBreakfast 2015-12-16T03:59:00

Sad that it was so short, but you definitely did some things right in that short span.

The atmosphere was awesome, very calming and serene. But if you didn't make the music you shouldn't be judged in that category ;) Just sayin'.

Solid entry.

Careful with that watering can, Trevor! by antglynn 2015-12-16T03:17:00

I like it! It's very simple, and it follows the theme very well.

But graphics and music? meh.

I do wish there was more to it though, because it was very enjoyable. Good job!

Auxochrome by yuotta 2015-12-15T21:55:00

Not bad. The constantly tilting camera was a little disorienting, but other than that the graphics were nice, the sound worked well, and the atmosphere was interesting.

Solid entry.
