This is really clever! It would be nice to know which parts/shapes did what at the beginning but it was also fun see what each was after launch. Great job and great use of the theme.

Pretty fun although on my first attempt of a play through I missed the fact that it told me how many hull, thruster, and turret pieces I had left until I had just about ran out turrets. Really neat idea to put ships together in this way,

idontknow 2019-10-07 20:36

Quite innovative. Makes me wonder how this could turn out with even more dev time.

nachtwitch 2019-10-07 20:45

definatly a innovative idea, really fun and addictive

abdul-zakkar 2019-10-07 22:35

This was so cool!! I was so confused after the first two tries but when I understood how this worked I thought this was such a unique idea. With some polish this could really get somewhere! I really enjoyed it. This only thing I feel it needs is some more explanation in-game. Oh, and the buttons to switch between hull, thruster and turret are 1,2,3, and I kinda wish you just made em buttons (or controlled in both ways) :) Great job!

hiveminds 2019-10-07 22:36

Really clever and neat idea & even better execution!

Real fun overall.

rensei 2019-10-07 23:02

Very impressive! Really fun and different, well done!

organicpencil 2019-10-08 02:04

Me like. High score: 440

nisovin 2019-10-08 02:57

@organicpencil Very nice! My own high score was only 340.

entirelybees 2019-10-08 04:03

The concept of putting together your spaceship is great! I also liked the one-at-a-time in-game control popups, much easier to follow than a long list of complicated controls.

This is so great. It's a space shooter but with puzzle. making the perfect spaceship the challenging. Adding powerups would be awesome!

kevinworkman 2019-10-08 05:32

I really liked this! It reminds me of a little (maybe Flash?) game I played a few years ago with a similar idea. (I can't find it now, if anybody knows what I'm talking about let me know!) I could see this mechanic being fleshed out into a full game, maybe you get new pieces as you destroy enemy ships? I would play that! Nice job, really well done.

greon 2019-10-08 07:43

So awesome, that ship building was very different and unique, would love to see this being more developed, well done!

psychic-ash 2019-10-08 13:02

the building was interesting to be sure. I would have liked more control over which thrusters... I did find a ... bug/feature. On my monitor I was firing blind and getting shot off screen. I changed the resolution and shrunk the window down and it zoomed out. now I was shooting people from way off "screen". Interesting concept.

raisethedead 2019-10-08 13:30

Very fun entry, I had a good time !

lone-wolf 2019-10-08 14:58

Haha. This game is great! It was a pleasure to play. Thanks

cg-fred 2019-10-08 21:12

Wonderful game mechanic, it fits very well with the theme. I would have loved to have a boss or something to beat.

compasslg 2019-10-08 22:10

A pretty fun game! It is not the only spaceship building game I've played in LD45, but this one has a pretty unique mechanic, and more importantly, is actually fun to play! GOOD JOB

bustosman 2019-10-08 22:14

Really cool game, maybe add an enemy turret that slows down the ship.

sheepdog123 2019-10-09 00:44

Very nice! One thing -- I'd make the tutorial more insightful, and make it so the enemys can't shoot you when they are offscreen.

All the best~

mazen-morgan 2019-10-09 00:45

very great idea

unlockingcube 2019-10-09 01:53

Wow, I love how simple it was, but yet it created so many ideas. Thank you for sharing that.

kooshy 2019-10-09 01:54

Love the builder - it's kind of interesting to use the parts you're launching to nudge the ship into the right orientation to place the next part - and just full-auto shooting turrets at it was delightfully meta.

kurrik 2019-10-09 06:21

Cool ship building mechanic, fun and quirky. High score 440 :D

porocyonak 2019-10-09 06:59

got 280. neat game! creative and polished

nocity 2019-10-09 10:00

This was the best spaceship building experience I had in a long time  Controlling that thing felt good, shooting turrets was satisfying. Only thing I think is missing is a mechanic that ends the game if the player loses all thrusters and can't move any more.

humphreysmedia 2019-10-09 16:39

What a great idea! Have the maeterials become darker when they got hit is great user feedback, i knew when a part was geeting damaged and it was super helpful. Even the building experience in the beginning was super fun, felt like Spore but an actual working version that was fun!

coatline 2019-10-09 21:11

Really liked the idea of building your own ship. It was tough because you had to shoot the ship parts to attach them but that made the game more interesting. I wish that there was more types of turrets for both enemies and also your ship. Very cool experience.

mapedorr 2019-10-10 04:48

Interesting game. Building the ship was fine but a bit frustrating due to the speed the pieces move. I had a lot of fun creating one full of thrusters. The game turns more fun once you launch your ship since you have to change the way you play while attacking because that affect your movement.

We made our game using Godot too. Give it a try if you have the time.

Really like the concept, it's a nice touch to have exported it to multiple supports ^^ Great job!

ryano 2019-10-10 10:29

Great game. Clever use of the theme and interesting gameplay mechanics. Well done.

t8kk 2019-10-10 13:38

Initially I wasn't first quite sure what's happening when shooting parts in to space but when I launched my first spaceship it dawned on me that the game concept is super cool. Even my first spaceship was utter garbage i could really appreciate the core mechanic you came up with. Really nice entry, good job!

ein 2019-10-10 23:34

Nice concept!

masterkrepta 2019-10-11 14:56

My first ship was almost impossible to control due to my own bad decisions, once I took my time and thought it out I really enjoyed the variety this concept allows for different styles of play.

amerigo-gazaway 2019-10-12 05:12

Didn't quite understand at first but cool concept and execution. Nice work!

stuckne1 2019-10-12 14:20

I had fun playing this.

aisus 2019-10-12 21:04

That's super cool project. Funny building mechanics, good working physics, 10/10 music and sound fx. Had some troubles with the controls, but overall it's pure fun. Good work!

cdunham 2019-10-13 06:13

Cool idea, I like how making your ship is like a game in itself. You can try to be as precise as you want but getting the pieces you want to fit just right is almost impossible, and the ship usually looks pretty ridiculous by the time you launch it.

hcursino 2019-10-13 12:20

Good game! It kinda auto balances itself, I tried making a smaller ship that would be harder to get hit, but then it automatically has less HP. Great job!

bernardex 2019-10-17 17:00

Heyoo! Great game out there guys! You nailed the theme. One of the best entries I've seen, I had much fun playing it and building my star ship!

balance686 2019-10-21 04:56

The ship building mechanic is great and incorporates the theme well. The graphics are simple but clean and the audio is nice. It's tough for sure but fun to play. I think you shouldn't be able to launch without a thruster because I did that on my first play and couldn't figure out why I was unable to move :P Great job with this it was well done!
