Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge.We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.
@tintreas thanks!
@steph88 thanks :) We added our game like you said (http://www.indiexpo.net/en/games/accidental-adventure-at).
You guys got so much done in just 3 days - 3D characters, enviroments, loverly lighting, sound is appropriate and some good animations.
I got a bit stuck on the first level, but I enjoyed the bit I played up until then :)
Nice game. Simple mechanics that work really nicely. I like the minimalistic art too. God job :)
The intro arts are brilliant!
The game is simple and neat.
I like it's idea and implementation.
Everything looks so polished for 72-hour game.
Great work!
Nice intro and menu design, but I found the platforming to be kind of floaty.
btw, the controls should probably be included in-game as well as just in the game's description; it took me a couple minutes to realize you could double jump.
There are also 3 different fullscreen buttons (one on Ludum Dare's site, one on the itch.io embed, and one in the Unity webgl export). You should probably try to set it up so that you only need one.
The intro camera movements are nice and smooth - like how you did that - nice way to do an intro scene :)
Controls were a bit floaty but got the hang of them pretty quick. Wasn't too hard, wasn't too easy - nicely balanced.
Lot's of content done in the time, good job!
@TeamBALD @teamBallShui @cushycode @Sean @jon_nocode thank you all for feedback! :)
We updated game with some little bug fixes :)
PS. steph88 post is probably spam so take care :(
i liked the game good platform and 3d looking game. Graphics is good too. UI, opening screen and level design must took time. I am impressed how you did it in this limited time. But one thing is a bit bored me. I just except death animations when i failed. People want to see glamorous thing like this. But overall i liked it.
@Xlip We really wanted to do death effect! But we haven't had enough time for this ;/ It was next thing on our todo list. Anyway thanks for comment :)
really fun platformy game. lots of potential. and that intro was way more than ive ever seen for an ld game
Very nice models!
Really cool game! love the sounds, really adds atmosphere to the level. Does the character auto runs sometimes? I wasn't pressing anything but I was moving.
@catchthefloaty @felixsoum @Fidrik thanks for comments! :)
Fidrik, it is probably some kind of bug - at least it wasn't intented :)
Intro was awesome. Controls were a bit off but I adapted pretty quickly and was able to meet with success against your obstacles. The wait on respawn after dying seemed unnecessary.
I did seem to die a lot from obstacles that I hadn't touched.
Great job!
You guys managed to do so much over the weekend! And it looks really good :)
I don't think you should have made the first jump a double jump, it's the tutorial and it sucks to die at the very first obstacle.
Also there were a few things that appeared to surprise you, and kill you, which is all very well but it became quite arduous to traipse back from the start every time that happened. And there is a puzzle in the first level where you have to stop the moving spikes to jump over them, but the place where they have to be stopped is off screen.
Nice game. Pretty good assets and challenging level.
Sometimes it is difficult to jump on some platforms even with double jump..
love me some good platforming. my game was kinda similar, but first person. the collision could use some work, i died to quite a few things i didnt actually touch, and the death could be a bit more... deathy, a timer and then a fadeout is somewhat unsatisfying.
Really nice game good sound design and i love graphic design of intro it would be even more interesting if rest of game was in the same style.
I would suggest some hieroglyph of E around first time you need to interact with environment.
With all those deadly mechanisms this games needs some horrible scenes of death blood everywhere :D
Also first time you need to use double jump that is not obvious that you are doing double jump it seams like you are trying to catch to a ledge maybe make some earlier hole more width so player would earlier learn about double jumping.
