Love the artstyle, kinda reminds me of the old final fantasies in places.

Love the artstyle, kinda reminds me of the old final fantasies in places.
@pressxtoskip, @Hammers, I totally agree with your suggestions about rocks appearance! They definitely should be shown more gently. I've added clouds to my todo list for the game, thanks for comments!
@TeamBALD, @mathiasj, @Ghen thank you for the reviews. I really have to make correlation between the static starmap view and the dynamic spyglass view more obvious. Or maybe add short step-by-step tutorial to explain the game mechanics.
@novotmike I thought about compass, but I decided that it would be to easy in that case. Maybe I was wrong Х)
@olkeencole, glad to hear it because I'm going to continue with this game! There are so many ideas left after the LD36 deadline.
@Kitkom, thanks for the unity tip. Now it works like a charms, no gaps any more!
@oab, @wowods Can you, please, try to reproduce the issue with the invisible borders again? I've just updated colliders, but I'm not sure that it fixed the problem because I couldn't reproduce it by myself.
Very enjoyable!
Neat idea and pretty cool implementation.
Thank you for sharing your source code. It is always interesting to take a look =)
This game is incredibly beautiful and polishing.
I like it's unique art-style and quality implementation.
The background music is charming.
Overall, it's one of the best games I've played this LD.
Perfect done, guys!
Neat game! Got some nice "papers please" vibe from it, the difficulty increased too, which is nice.
The story is pretty cool, but mechanics is way to simple even for 3-days game. However, it's a good start point, I guess.
Also, I have the same problem as @CMangas. The part of the scene is hidden for some reason. Maybe, you can try to change publishing settings for the game?
The controls are a bit floaty and i flew off into the void too easily!
I like that it game for two players so much!
The game is pretty fun, but players movements to harsh for me (it was a bit confusing at first).
Good job.
I didn't get what was happening and how all that connected to the Ancient Technology theme, but I won! x)
Also, I like pixel aliens. They are really cute.
Hope, you'll finish this game one day.
So sweet prototype!
I like the idea of a realistic Nokia's simulator.
The implementation is also quit neat.
Good job!
The dialogs are charming, really. I laugh every time, really!
Mechanics are neat and simple. However, I was a bit confused at first, because arrows buttons didn't work (my bad habit to use them instead of WSAD)
Also, the art is brilliant. I love good pixel-art games a lot! Thank you for that submission and good luck!
Refused to react both to my mouse and my keyboard, so i listened to the splash screen music for a while, it was neat.
Volcanic Giraffe, i didn't get that it was a clickable button! Anyway, finally I played your game for a while today using another browser (have no ideas what the problem whit the first one).
It is pretty fun and I enjoyed it's watercolor-like cartoony style. But the ability to fly out of bounds of the screen is a bit weird.
Well done!
That dash seems way overpowered!
I like the idea of the Olympic game simulator (not exactly the ancient technology, but somehow related).
But my game experience was so frustrating.
When I tried to Run using only Q or only E, I didn't move at all.
After that I tried to click Q and E rapidly and my avatar turned to zombie. His legs turned to each other and whole his body was shaking nervously. However, I finally could run.
After the first throw I stuck in the middle of nowhere with just one small tree on blue screen.
I guess, I'm not the best javelin thrower x(
Hm, I agree with other reviewers. The movements are too fast an harsh. I even couldn't climb up the stairs =(
It was surprisingly fun, but got too easy once you figure out the technique. No wayto reach a block that's fallen a bit to the side, but i liked that you can block your crane with blocks (if that makes sense!).
The intro arts are brilliant!
The game is simple and neat.
I like it's idea and implementation.
Everything looks so polished for 72-hour game.
Great work!
Incredible graphics and charming animations.
But why it so short, why?!
I like all characters and the game story (so trendy, dude! x))
The art is beautiful and eye-catching.
The idea with post-processing image effect that turn a screen to an old TV/Computer is very good and makes the game looks much more interesting.
However, it's so sad that the web version is broken.
Hope, you'll fix it one day.
Interesting idea and gameplay.
The cartoony trees are eye-catching, but the font is a bit annoying.
I really like background sounds of the game. They make it so atmospheric.
Simplistic, but pretty fun! It still gave me "Time Over" message when the other player lost all HP.
80's rules! х)
The intro song is awesome and all sound effects are very catchy!
As about other parts of the game - they are just ok for 72-hours game, but I really wish you'll keep working on the game.
The Chinese theme is so smart choice for this Ludum Dare.
I really love this type of game and enjoined playing yours.
The graphics is charming. It's simple and polished at the same time.
I wish the game characters have better animation, because the dragon movements were a bit confusing for me.
The sound track is awesome by the way.
Good work!
The story of the platformer is simple and quit obvious. There are a lot of caveman's game this Ludum dare, you know.
But I really like that you add simple resource manager to the game. Also, the naive graphic style and funny animations (especially, walking) are hilarious.
Overall, I think that this entry is a good "proof of concept" for some clever platformer with resource management. But there are a lot of stuff to do if you want to make it really interesting.
Awersome idea and implementation!
I like the concept of using ancient computer console.
But unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to hack users account and safe the world without cheating and looking into the source code.
Finally, the compo entry!
I like the walking animation so much x)
The art style reminds me 12 oz. Mouse. It rocks!
It's neat that you add step-by-step in-game tutorial, but the font and it's color makes all instructions difficult to read.
Cool entry!
Simple and neat game. I think it is a good start point for a quite interesting strategy.
Especially cool that there is a tutorial level with a step-by-step explanation.
I did't have any sound effects, or background music btw. But maybe it's my Firefox problem.
need actual instructions and a little mroe depth to the gameplay would've been nice.
Awesome concept and beautiful graphic assets.
The ability to manipulate with the bytes is so neat. Someone can consider your game a bit more complicated, but for me it's one of the most catching game I've played this Ludum Dare.
Also, I like your level-to-level tutorial. It was very clear and helpful.
By the way, totally agree with @Kableado about mobile version.
Well done!
Pretty cool, i liked the music going with the flow of the game!
Cute art, but pressing UP or LMB sent me flying up at the turbospeed, which makes it unplayable.
@Frump now it's much better!
Nice and simple game with a lovely graphics, what else can I say? Well done!
By the way, why don't you make a web version? It's so easy with Unity nowadays and I think, a lot of people prefer playing in their browsers without downloading any files.
Sweet, i love these kind of games. Mirror rotation was kinda janky, when you click on it again it kinda jerks the mirror and it's harder to fine-tune the angle.
Fantastic! Needs a little more depth, but the foundation is all there!
I love these tiny little solders! They are the best!
Overall, it is quit dummy, but very catchy game.
Nice shot!
The menu of this game is beautiful!
But the game is a bit boring, sorry.
I like the idea of using the ancient crypto methods.
The noir pixel-art is lovely and the whore game looks so polished, btw.
Well done!
Wow, so simple and so catchy!
Very clever an original choice for the ancient theme.
Well done!
The concept is really neat, dude! I think, that you chose of ancient technologies is perfect.
When I heard all these "beep" sounds I immediately remember my first attempt to use a real one. It was really hard that time, thou!
But it was so fun to use it again, btw.
The ability to load the pdf manual for the real fax makes me laugh.
Lol, the game is so pretty.
I really enjoyed playing it.
The concept and the game game story is funny and I really like this naive art style.
By the way, I was surprised with the way which you solve "falling down" issue (restarting the game instead of blocking falling).
The game looks very solid and well-polished. Graphics, background music and sound effects, fonts - everything fits perfect.
I'm not a big fan of this type of games, but I don't regret about time spending for this one.
Good work!
I quite like it! The emotional aspect got me the most, and when my creator refused to take me in after i changed myself to better fit his ideal i took a flying platform to the moon. Great experience!
I like the view of the map and it's color scheme.
The art style is funny, but the choice of fonts and notes' colors is really awful, dude. It was merely hard to read.
Otherwise, the main idea is quite interesting and the horse are beautiful.
Your low-poly Mammoth is gorgeous.
And the game looks so solid and polished.
It's almost unreal for such a short period of time.
My congratulations to whole your team.
Perfect entry!
Oh, yeees! I love games with mirrors and reflections and yours one was quit good.
However the movements is a bit to harsh for me. At first, it was very hard to setup mirrors as I wanted (I got better results do not moving anything at all! x))
Also, it was frustrating that small mirrors work as lasers and the big mirror is just a mirror. Maybe, you need to add "the sun" or any other visible source of light to the scene to make the game more.. realistic, I said.
Cool prototype, i wish the asteroid looked like the main character, the same kind of simple pixel-art, i mean. Fade to black when drilling is kinda distracting, covering it with some particle effects might do the trick while keeping everything seamless!
Pretty funny, but the leg animation on thge main character not matching the speed really threw me off and he wasn't as nicely animated as the enemies somehow?
I liked the look of it, but the gameplay feels like it needs some serious balancing. Firing weapons is somewhat frustrating since you can't really aim properly and your projectile shoots from the top corner.
You also get swarmed too easily and can't really do anything about it, except push enemies for a second but they swarm you right back. Maybe make the force wave do damage too?
Neat concept and simple mechanics. But overall, implementation is a bit poor even for a jam project.
The score is missing on the "Game over" screen, btw.
I like the concept, but my game experience was frustrating. All items look like they are weightless. All my attempts to block the walls failed and I haven't any idea how to win (even after reading the instruction).
I believe, that this prototype will be much more playable if you make physics more natural.
The base concept is pretty interesting. I have no ideas how this game related to the LD36 theme, but anyway was quite enjoyable 20 seconds! х)
However, the game mechanics are a bit weird at first. You really need a good tutorial or step-by-step demo level.
The soundtrack is cool, btw.
Charming hand-drawing graphics and the brilliant main character. There is almost no gameplay, but the atmosphere of this little something is totally relaxing. I like all these tiny elements - the mushroom, plants, etc. However, sometimes it was hard to read the text above them, because the font is too thin and the player overlay labels time to time.
Simple and neat tiny game with pretty fun concept and nice arts.
Relly like it!
Neat concept and funny tiny babies.
However, I with they've been more animated.
I love the concept with the elephant! However, the game is boring.
I really like the backstory and the sound effects in the game. Your team created a very atmospheric and interesting little game. Good job!
I was stuck on the start screen and want be able to play -( What should I push for playing? (Left mouse button, Enter or Space didn't work). Btw, music is neat.
Oh, the concept is so cool!
Just awesome submission.
The atmosphere of the game is perfect. I love everything: art style, funny background music and especial animation!
Great job!
I don't know how this submission related to the jam theme, but I really like cube moving animation. So cute! Sound effects is also very nice.
Good job!
Nice concept, pretty cool graphics and sounds.
Score increases in a really weird way, but I'm ok with that x)
Btw, I don't know how this game relates to the jam theme.
Anyway, good job!
Lol, neat idea and quite fun realization.
The walking animation is brilliant!
Also, I like the relaxing background music and neat concept.
Good job!
Sounds effects is awesome, pixel sprites - is a really smart choice for a first game.
Pretty well, but the delay between shoots kills me.
Good job!
I really love the concept of your submission! Levels are neat and quite enjoyable. However, some item behaviors were a bit confusing. Still not sure that ability to move throw the walls wasn't a bug in all cases.
Anyway, good job!
It was FABULOUS!
Perfect idea for a game jam submission! x)
I can't say anything about game play. It was confusing and I just staring at the cool pixel arts.
Neat little game. The graphics are beautiful and the background music is charming. However, in the web version the start menu seems to be broken (looks really weird in Firefox).
Good job!
Love your implementation of fog of war. Really good.
I like the way you implemented a fog of war for this game. Graphics is fine, but it was hard to difficult to distinguish the floor from walls.
Very atmospheric game!
I love your squirrel, haha.
Oh my gosh! It's soooooo cute and well-made.
Marvelous atmosphere, brilliant animation, awesome concept.
Just perfect submission!
Nice character sprites, cruel but pretty fun concept.
The dark screen at the beginning was a bit confusing.
Good job!
Neat game mechanics and overall concept. I like this little game and hope you'll continue working on it.
Good tiny mobile game with simple and nice artstyle.
Well done!
I was confused with the gameplay even after reading your comment to the submission. I feel like it could be fun, but for me it was just crazy.
Simple and neat mechanics. Cool idea and a quite good implementation.
I like the sound effects also.
Wish to see this game as a game for mobile phones one day.
Good job, dude!
The visual style of your game is awesome!
I really love the idea of origami warrior so much.
However, I agree with @jack-lance and @Attrition that it's hard to say what the aim and am I playing it correct. But it doesn't matter for me x)
Great submission!
Well, It was pretty good. I like the concept and the way you implement it. A chain of mini-bosses - all you need from that type of games. Good job!
Fun gameplay, cool color scheme and art style.
Perfect compo submission!
The music is charming, the art style is pretty interesting, the dialogs are catching and smart. But the best part is the concept and the real reference you provided in your comment to the submission.
Really cool!
Lovely graphic assets
The concept is fun, but the carpet in the office is awful!
Also, collides was quite confusing for me. I think it would be cool to add some interactions with other employees.
Wow, I like the idea. There are enough games about prisoners that jam, but it's the first one about an inspector!
Playing was pretty fun too.
Good job!
High quality everything!
Really interesting and catching game.
Neat concept and sweet game mechanics.
Wish you will continue working on this game.
Good job!
Hah, I'm not sure that I did it correct but, it was cool anyway x)
The art style is a bit weird for me. But overall is a good compo submission!
I'm not sure that the game fits to the "One room" theme of this jam. But overall it's quite good submission with very energetic music and cool art styles.
Good job!
Nice assets, hope you'll publish post-jam game quite soon.
Also, maybe it would be better to add some local lights on the scene.
It was really weird, dude.
A good idea and a pretty well implemented game.
Btw, it was a bit to dark for me.
Awesome idea and beautiful implementation.
However, I expected to find web version of the game clicking on "Web" link.
Anyway, it's a very good submission!
Well done.
Nice and clear mechanics. Good idea and sweet 3d assets.
Neat Christmas tree, btw -)
Well done, dude!
Good and playable prototype.
Neat concept.
Tasty food assets, clear and neat concept.
I with the woman has more emotions during cooking x)
Oh, I'm in love with this tiny game. The visual style is perfect, the mechanics are charming, the overall concept is beautiful and catching.
Good job!
I like UI and sounds of this something. But I'm a bit confusing because there were nothing about "One room" theme for me (even If we talk about half-made game prototipe).
Hope, your next Ludum Dare attempt will be more successful.
I was really confused with the gameplay. I thought that bombs help could me to break the doors, but they are not. I'm not sure was it a bug or a concept of staying in one room.
Incredible art style and beautiful music.
Well done!
I love the concept of the game. Extending the room was quite challenging and interesting at the came time.
Good submission.
Cool 2d assets!
The concept is quite good, but the implementation is a bit weird. I wish the info about current puzzle was displayed inside the game screen. Also, maybe it was better to replace these cubes with more suitable objects such as keys or any other items?
The idea is fine and suits the LD37 theme. But it's so boring at the beginning. I guess, you have to play around the level difficulties and made first rounds more hardcore also (maybe?).
Also, the player and zombies are too similar. It was a bit confusing for me -.-
The background music is so relaxing.
I like the concept and chosen art style either.
Well done!
Interesting idea and good implementation.
Good "one room" puzzle
Neat ghosts, beautiful art style.
Well done!
Nice concept and neat graphic style. The character seems to be to fast at first, but it makes the game fun and challenging.
Good job!
Neat concept and implementation. You're right about web version, it's a bit weird, but still playable.
Nice job!
The idea of the big metal hand taking of lifes and keeping the player in one room is so awesome! Just great submission.
Lovely graphics and interesting concept.
Well done!
I really like the atmosphere of this game. All these sound effects are awesome. Great submission!
This game is very atmospheric. I like the background music and the clear visual style. Otherwise, sometimes it seemed to take an age to get from one point to another. Maybe you could speed up the player a bit?
Cool background music. So energetic!
Well done.
