It doesn't load for me.

loki 2016-12-12 09:16

Doesn't finish loading, Firefox on win7x64. A green bar appears after a couple seconds, and grows to about 1/3 the width of the black box it's in, then stops forever.

cjke-7777 2016-12-12 09:56

Well that was different! Very interesting take on the theme. Thanks for submitting.

sanojian 2016-12-12 12:20

Doesn't work for me, Chrome on MacOS. Getting error:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'apply' of undefined(…)

xesenix 2016-12-12 18:40

@MestR @KJB of IBwWG @sanojian i think i did fix it loading google font made some race race condition

mutuware 2016-12-12 19:08

Works fine for me, however I did it feel it was tearing me apart, Lisa!

xesenix 2016-12-12 19:18

@mutuware i did not hit her oh hi mutuware

kurakurt 2016-12-12 20:54

Very easy!

powerspark 2016-12-12 22:49

Interesting theme-use! Music is pretty good too. Keep it up.

shockk 2016-12-12 22:50

This was a little bit surreal, I'm not exactly sure what was going on.

automatonvx 2016-12-13 00:23

well that was weird

simonhutchinson 2016-12-13 00:25

Works for me - Firefox on a Mac. I love the beautifully hideous graphics and simple gameplay!

xclementx 2016-12-13 00:51

Ahaha funny ! More sounds effects would be nice :p

xesenix 2016-12-13 00:57

@xclementx true but i couldnt work more on it if i did i think i would get cancer or something

xclementx 2016-12-13 01:18

@xesenix i dont want to you get cancer ! <3

cushycode 2016-12-13 05:16

I love the concept with the elephant! However, the game is boring.

xesenix 2016-12-13 07:49

@cushycode I wanted to Imitate the source as much as i could if you did know "The Room" you would know what i mean but I do not recommend it

liquidmedia 2016-12-14 00:29

took a couple tries to get it to load, interesting game but not really my style.

haddy22 2016-12-14 00:34

I got 302- just kept jumping on them as they got up :)

funny little game

It loaded fine for me- but I had to be very patient- it was a black screen for a while, then eventually I got the loading bar- then it came up.

xesenix 2016-12-14 01:21

@Haddy22 nice result my is around 550 they got up faster and faster each time you jump on them. You made me realized that the game doesnt load if it isnt focused :| i will be sending fix for that thanks.

zarkonnen 2016-12-14 17:45

Runs fine for me. Pretty weird.

loki 2016-12-14 19:11

Works now, thanks for fixing. I found it pretty funny even though I don't know the original reference. The music really fit well. Could have used some sfx though. Not very challenging / engaging beyond that, but I liked the elephant cutout anim.

tylerraz 2016-12-14 22:06

The music does fit with the ninja elephant :)

The roommate sprites just begged to be crushed - punchable face kinda thing going on

littleball 2016-12-16 00:38

Interesting... a little strange, but I think I like it :)

2016-12-16 01:49

Before the LD37 jam began, we had some concepts for games, and one was exactly "Elephant in the room". So, when my friend JorgeGameDev asked me to select which game to play next, I chose at random the one that said Elephant, and then my mind went blank for a second. Then we laughed due to the coincidence. Checking this game out was destiny!

And it's exactly the opposite of what we envisioned, in a good way! Heck, this was so surreal I fell in love with it since the title screen. Everything looks rough, yes, but even then, it somehow fits perfectly.

The game is simple, but holding down the button to increase the jumping speed felt like something that was different from the norm. So, while this wasn't exactly the greatest thing ever, it showed something that could later on be refined or even adjusted to other projects.

Great work! I hope you had a fun time making it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future!

xesenix 2016-12-16 02:11

@Moski thanks i hoped to make something so bad that i use all bad karma on it so my next game wont suffer from it :P especially that im making something bigger that i want to succeed

spacedoubt 2016-12-16 06:40

Silly. Love the tuba music.

meta-link 2016-12-16 18:19

Well it's kind of ... weird, but it was fun to crush the roomies :D

chatpion 2016-12-16 21:44

It runs on firefox for me. Pretty weird game.

psychomonster 2016-12-17 11:04

hmhm joahhhh... I crushed them ... a jumping elephant in a robber costume :) fine... I was amused ^^

zeriver 2016-12-18 11:17

Very clever use of theme, the idea of ninja elephant is really funny and music just fits great. It's really great that you push yourself with LD and learn new things and to be honest results are pretty good, i mean you got working game with a decent gameplay. I mean gameplay is kinda repetitive but still fun to play.

phantom-lab 2016-12-20 12:12

I did not beat the game, it's not true! It's bullshit! I did not beat the game! I did *not*. Oh hi, Mark.

dynamic-panic-studios 2016-12-22 19:23

That was interesting. I set a new high score of 435. So yeah. Good job. I love how you made it intentionally bad, which makes it great. Awesome job!

kptemre 2016-12-23 04:51

Nice game! I mean ok not much story but there is something satisfying crushing your neighbors.

yami-no-tenshi 2016-12-26 20:49

Funny idea, my best score was 313. Music fits the game very well ! Just missing some sound effects :)

The elephant design is great XD

oddly-shaped-pixels 2016-12-29 12:48

Funny idea, and the music is top notch.
But I thinkg the game is missing feedback a lot, on player's actions and also on your roomates' detection ability (range, when they spot you...)
.

xesenix 2016-12-29 16:36

@Oddly Shaped Pixels sorry that i didnt make obvious that they are blind and they can spot you only if they walk into you :P

themonsterfromthedeep 2016-12-30 20:53

Very strange game. The music is pretty great, and fits very well. I didn't really understand the losing condition.
