Such a bleak game. Moms are awesome.
Nice mood and graphics.
This game really tries my patience. I wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to do when playing. The overall tone of the graphics and the ticking sound effect make the son's journey seem dystopian and bleak. I'm not certain if that's what you are going for.
The bottom-right panels don't make a lot of sense, particularly the one with the weapons and healing options. Is the game an RPG? The only good thing about the game, however, is the graphics. I do enjoy this minimal, simplistic pixelated style.

Love the art style.
I wasn't really sure if there was something I was working towards or if I was just supposed to keep giving my son what he asked for when he called...I was a little confused as to the end goal. It seemed to just go on and on with no end or indication that I was playing correctly.
Gfx and sfx effects are ok. There is no feedback to the player. He can work and buy gifts, but what is their purpose? How the son is influenced by the gifts?
I can't say anything about game play. It was confusing and I just staring at the cool pixel arts.
I really wish this was longer and had more emergencies from the son. Art and mood worked very well together. I am not sure if I won or if the game glitched, but the son was very full and strong. Then the clock stopped ticking but sound and menus still worked. I couldn't move to new locations either. That was my second round. 1st round my son died after 3+ days cuz I worked for too long. I would play a larger version of this game.
True story. Being a mother sucks so much. No one could picture mom's life more accurate.
Bleak, as others have said, but I like that :). Dark humor without saying a word.
I loved this. Really made me think about life differently while I was playing.
Really nice use of the theme! The bleak setting and mood, along with the plot, really set it apart from the rest of the entries. Every game needs a phone to mother option!
I had an issue with how long it took once you called your son. It got somewhat tedious at times, but I kind of feel that was the point. The game was also a bit confusing at times, and took a little while to understand what I was doing.
The main problem, was how little there was to actually manage. A possibility would be managing your own needs in conjunction with your son's needs, which would also be a nice metaphor. As it is now, it's maybe a bit too simple and easy to maintain.
Overall, an it's interesting experience, Great job!
