It's really funny. Think about sacrifice animating or something about game feelling
Cool idea. Great job.
Funny game hahahha
Would be neat if bir cockies would let you heavier and slower!
Satanic rituals and Santa really do go together well. One idea for possibly more strategy is if the size difference in cookies made a bigger difference in points they gave. Cookie size could get larger the farther away from the sacrificial circle
Its funny it has some gameplay but that annoying music at least give us mute button before we sacrifice you to the heavy one. Also, that pentagram is a bit of incorrect shape. In general, the graphic isn't too bad there are some collision issues buts it's playable. @sethr those aren't satanic rituals they are just santanic rituals :P
Okay, I actually had a laugh or two. For some reason the [Cookies ignite] made me laugh, I guess I just wasn't expecting that. There's something about the combination of sacrificing cookie people, deliberate ms paint art, and summoning Santa that reminded me of the early Newgrounds days, in a good way. I like it just for the humor alone.
Here's what I think you did really well: The mood is certainly very Christmas-y, as a village of cookie people living in Gingerbread houses just makes sense in a Christmas-themed world. The small details like having the cookies look sad as you drag them to the circle is a nice touch. And the fail state is good too, you could have just show "GAME OVER" on the screen but you took it a step further to have the cookies sacrifice you instead for comedic effect, and it worked.
The music is a little harsh, though. Honestly, I think removing the music altogether would make the game more enjoyable. I'd rather play a silent game than one with bad music.
I took a minute or two to think about the theme and how the game plays to it. I think in this case, the narrative is what drives the theme more so than the mechanics. There's some element of sacrifice by going further away from the circle in the hopes that you'll find a cookie big enough to justify the time spent to get it, but this element gets quickly overshadowed by the quick and easy route of just going for whatever's closest and hoping for the best. Narrative or mechanics, either way, you stayed true to the theme, so good job for that.

I love the mood of the game, you being a sociopathic elf who will do anything if it means his life isn't on the line. Everything is adorable and the art is very charming. The gameplay loop does get kind of repetetive though, but you can't really do much about that. I loved your game and kudos to you for making it in 48 hours.
hahah love the sick humor in this, right up my alley. Is there a win condition or the game runs infinite? My score was 4 :D Congrats on the entry!
Haha, funny idea, made me laugh a few times :) The gameplay is a little bit too easy and repetitive, I gave up after 5 years, but cute art and animations! I agree with what has been said about the music in previous comments.
Thank you everyone for giving me feedback!
This is my first entry into Ludum Dare so I wasn't sure how I would be able to create a game in 48 Hours. But I did it however I had to finish a bit earlier than I would want to so I had to rush the music in what seemed like 5 minutes (the outcome of which is the mess that you can hear while playing the game and I apologize for that). I will take all of your feedback into consideration next time I create a game I will not leave the music until the very end and I will try to create more challenging game play!
nice work on this game -- although i wont be letting the young kids play it any time soon -- very funny -- great use of the theme -- thanks for making it
