I really enjoyed this. After playing for a while, I got an out of memory error.

liquidmedia 2016-12-13 02:37

Hello Lucas Knutson, Thanks for trying out my game. I am not sure about the out of memory error, I did not have it come up. when I tested it, my longest test was about 2 rounds about 7 min. I don't know what version / platform you had the problem with.

liquidmedia 2016-12-13 03:28

I have made a change to the web version
I have updated the Web version only. Memory error causing a crash. quick fix changed the round timer from 213 to 60 seems to have worked.

mighty-buxx 2016-12-13 13:26

Nice game game. But I think need other soundtrack.

mutuware 2016-12-13 21:56

I would have liked The Blue Danube Waltz for some Elite-ness :)
But well done on the piano!

kamranwali 2016-12-13 23:25

Nice game. I really loved the 3D HUD you made there. It gives that extra realism feel to it. Overall the game was fun to play and the audio went well with it. Keep it up!

michalidis 2016-12-14 00:03

3D FPS Tower Defense game :D when I entered the game it was pure madness :D :D
I liked it though
By the way about the memory error (which is fixed now) - do you think it might have been caused by the fact you were not reusing objects ? (such as missiles that were shot at enemies and never hit them)

bigbuggames 2016-12-14 00:05

It was such an experience shooting all those ships with that music playing on the background hahaha! Also some of the ships were not exploding when I was shooting them in front of me...but well done!

liquidmedia 2016-12-14 00:16

Hello Michalidis I should have used Object pooling for the shots, explosions, and ships. cutting the round time down and reloading the level clears the memory. I did try but object pooling was given me a problem I did not solve it in a few min so just went with create and destroy.

liquidmedia 2016-12-14 00:20

Hello Bigbuggames In the game there is a set of random ships with out hit boxes ( it's not a bug it's a feature ) LOL

It I was going to put in different types of ships and did not get the component copied correctly.

megalink 2016-12-14 00:31

A little repetitive but still fun.

cicanci 2016-12-14 00:37

Nice job! The HUD is nice, this game would be so cool to play with VR!

I agree with the other comment about the music, it is really good but it seems incompatible with the fast pace gameplay.

xesenix 2016-12-14 00:40

Nice music but completely misses the mood its fun but needs balancing and adding of fair loose condition (starting sou rounded by enemy fleet is good so long if they dont instantly make you lose)

andyman404 2016-12-14 00:41

Nice work putting this all together! I like the space station and excitement of defending the station from the turret room. Not sure if the music made sense for the game though.

kalkatos 2016-12-14 02:07

Really cool! I just think the song chosen doesn't fit in very well...

teamscripta 2016-12-14 02:10

Wow that is really impressive that you played that music yourself! I LOVE space games, so this gets bonus points!

liquidmedia 2016-12-14 02:19

Hello TeamScripta Thanks I spent some time on the music multiple passes for each instrument, and some tuning in software to get timing to 1/16 note.
I don't normally play live music.

kairosxiii 2016-12-14 03:21

Interesting take on the theme. Love the music!

ghostfact 2016-12-14 03:28

Loved the earth graphic! Web version worked well for me. The music was pretty humorous when combined with the chaos of the action.

mrevilguy 2016-12-14 03:42

I loved the song choice. I can picture a guy sitting their murdering all these ships with his headphones playing Vivaldi. A dentist once did this while operating on my teeth. The shots kind of look like tennis balls though. Needed more variety.

jramell 2016-12-14 04:06

A more fitting soundtrack would make the game a lot more fun. Also, louder sound effects. Even though it looks great and it's enjoyable.

kunonooni 2016-12-14 04:07

I thoroughly enjoyed the background music, I honestly felt like I was playing a game in a Stanley Kubrick movie :) It was a very immersive game. Good Job!

ping78 2016-12-15 02:44

Cool game. Nice sound effects. If you haven't already thought about VR this game would probably work really good in it.

liquidmedia 2016-12-15 03:16

Hi Ping78 I would like to do a VR version maybe have each hand as a different aiming points

korvexx 2016-12-15 07:36

Cool game! I would love to see this expanded upon! Really feels like you're in space fighting a bunch of dudes. Also, the music has a very classical feel to it (almost Mozart-esque) which gave a pretty cool mood. Good work!

aemiliu5 2016-12-15 09:10

it was interesting to put a classical concert remixed as a soundtrack but i'm not sure it fits the mood...in general it is a good game...it is fun and somehow addicting! well done mate!

dynamic-panic-studios 2016-12-16 19:02

Cool concept, but the music doesn't really go with the action on the screen. Also, it would be useful to know how much damage the space station could take before loss.

dunin 2016-12-17 13:13

Simple but fun idea.
Maybe some hitbox are strange (or I am bad at aiming...)
I like that informations are display on the interior of my "room", I don't understand why you show it in other place.
I would like to have a best score window at the end of a wave (restart is so fast, that I can't notice if I do a good try or not).
Music is funny!

pkenney 2016-12-17 17:49

Wow nice classy piano playing, and a nice visual backdrop for the space battle! I had a tough time getting the amount of leading right, but when I did connect it felt good.

If I could change one thing it would be the way I have to click again and again for each shot. It's probably also not right to just hold the button and always fire forever, but maybe some middle ground.

mementogames 2016-12-17 19:02

Good job!
Loved the music!
I wish for more variation and movement, but nice work overall.

ednei 2016-12-18 02:09

Great game!!
It's a cylon?? haha! Very good! =D

bomballroomstudio 2016-12-18 11:10

Did you just predicted Rogue One? Nice!

cole-and-jordan-studios 2016-12-18 18:16

Nicely done! The music didn't seem right for this particular game, and it seemed way too hopeless most of the time to feel like I'd be able to have any success defending the base, but the atmosphere seemed believable even with the somewhat cheesy graphics. All around, nicely done!
