This game is more complex and more fun than it looks.

Apart from finding the spaceship parts, you will also find power-up that allows you to explore in larger regions.

"Shoe" that make you jump hight, "田" allows you enter cold place, etc. And evetually you can fly.

Also, there are deisgns like "push stone to hold the door swtich", and "crack in the wall that indicate a hidden pass"

The level design is very good work, also the world circles from left and right, as it is indeed a "planet".

In fact, I've made myself die once accidently... I stuck myself by pushing a stone into a passage trapping myself....

The level design is really nice. I got the feeling of a small world. The total game process is generally smooth, which give me a good Metroidvania game feeling. The beginning of game contains many places "I want to go but cannot", which gives me clear goal and motivation to finish the game. Additionally, you've done a great jobs controlling where the player can go in each stage.

What's more, I've once thought that I would be dead when I enter the freezing area, and later I found the designer did not introduce new mechanism but just set the jump force down. I love this clever design.

Another place stucked me was the sudden disappearance of one stone. The door was off and I cannot go out. And then, I found the hidden door. It really surprised me. (But I think there may should be a feedback, or the player may think this as a bug once)

Pretty solid game. The level design is clear and a little big challenging. Clues and items are not revealed directly in tutorial, but suggested by different types of terrains, which is discovered by player during gaming process.

The art work may be simple, but behind the appearance the game is quite well-formed.

I had fun with this one!! Great game!

Enjoyable, well-scoped game. Controls are good, although the camera sometimes "snaps" a few pixels too fast. The different power-ups were great, and really allowed you to explore the "small world" in different ways. Great job!

When I first started I was like "I hope there's power-ups" and there were! Fun game and nice level design. For the last few parts I found myself roaming around and backtracking aimlessly. Not sure if that's by design, but a little map could help me finding my way better. Another tiny thing I would add is a visual cue on previous drilled tunnels. I forgot the spots I could walk through, so that made it harder for me to re-explore the same area. Either way, nice job!

Cute little Metroid-a-like. Wish there would have been some music. Nice graphical style and item progression, made it all the way through! Great work!

The jump sound was grating. I don't know what it was, but it sounded like it popped halfway through, and by the end of the game I had a headache.

That said, this game was fantastic. I loved the loop-around and metroid-vania feel of it. Not a lot I could suggest for improvement. Very well done.

How you managed to make a metroidvania game in 48 hours is beyond me. Good aesthetics and design.

This is one of my favorite games I've played for this LD so far. I'm a huge sucker for metroid-style gameplay where you find upgrades that allow you to backtrack to previous areas and do something new. This is a perfectly self-contained little game that uses that concept very well, the wraparound world makes sure that you're never totally lost and the upgrades like the drill are creative. The art is basic but looks nice. The sound would be my biggest complaint as it invokes an Atari 2600's bleeps and bloops more than anything to me, but it wasn't bad enough to really detract from the whole. Great work

48小时内开发一款类银河恶魔城游戏非常具有挑战性,鲜有人敢于尝试,恭喜你成功了!

Sh sh++t this is great! From graphics to mood to ... well everything. Yea... I am a pixel fan boy but who cares - this is one awesome piece!

zgragselus 2017-05-04 03:13

It is nice, the graphics is too simple for me, but I got over it and discovered that it is actually somewhat fun with all the power ups you grab.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the "small world" theme when it's a game situated in the universe. The game is good but I don't see how it fits into the theme we got this time. It's very unfortunate because if this was anything else it would be one of the better games I played during this voting period.

This is one of my favorite games so far. I liked the graphics and the animations, but sometimes it was a bit annoying to wait until i arrive at a some point I want to go to. The level design was great and I found all the parts.

toccio94 2017-05-13 06:35

Played till the end! It's nice =)

korvyashka 2017-05-13 12:24

Very clean and finished metroid, that was fun to play. Yeah - I found all parts :) I really liked the way you teach to play - every time it is clear how to play and what to do. Great job :)

demyhallar 2017-05-13 12:33

I love the idea of the same map that shows new possibilities, cool game, well done!

100th-coin 2017-05-13 14:31

This was a lot of fun! i enjoyed every bit of it. unlocking a new upgrade to get to the next upgrade felt good.

monty 2017-05-13 15:44

At first it looked like it wasn't playing with theme, until I came from the other end of the world and realized it was a small world, after all. AMAZING game! My favorite so far!

marin0104 2017-05-14 12:56

Excellent kind of metroidvania level design. Gameplay mechanics are very rewarding. Very good!

skoggy 2017-05-14 17:16

This is like a mini metroidvania :P Really cool. Good job!

antti-haavikko 2017-05-15 16:19

Loved it! The coldness & "you can now enter cold" felt unnecessary and forced. It would work in a game with enemies or some kind of obstacles but not really when you only need to just walk in a direction for a minute or so.

But the rest was a truly enjoyable experience. Kinda was wishing for more involved and harder puzzles with the introduced mechanics but of course compo offers some design limitations. There is a lot more you could do with just the doors, switches and rocks. And you used the drill just as a glorified key. Could have included some puzzles designed around it like stair building à la Zelda 2.

But oh well, I guess the game is good when you finish it wanting more :)

junjunlowpoly 2017-05-18 14:54

I beat the game!

Great level design for only 48 hours. SFX and animation are simple but effective. The planet is small, however obtaining items allows you to access areas that you could not access before. It is a tiny platformer but it has almost complete classic platformer basic elements.
