Obviously very nice job with the mood! I ran in WebGL and it worked fine for me. I got two of the clues, I couldn't figure out the chalkboard. I managed to fall out of the level in the corpse room while jumping to open the higher-up doors. I also found the movement to be a bit too slidey for my taste. Don't forget that you need to rate games to get ratings.

It seems like the character always wants to take an extra step when you let off of the keyboard. In Unity, if you go to Edit -> Project Settings -> Input you can change settings on the buttons. I might recommend toying with the "gravity" option, as that has to do with how fast an axis goes back to zero when they don't receive input.

Other than that issue and the last puzzle, the game seemed pretty solid. Might want to decrease the time it takes to show the outline, and then maybe change E and F to LMB and RMB, so I didn't have to think about what my hands were doing.

Thanks for the experience!

It is a bit slow here in HTML. It looks really well done, however it's not really my type of game (I usually get lost in 3D and here it's also dark so I easily just got frustrated...) I prefer 2D puzzles...But the mood is great and graphics looks quite polished!

Nice game, it gave off a very horror sort of vibe. I found the game a bit choppy due to the motion blur an option to disable that would be nice also an option to change the brightness in game.

overall good job

jacksendary 2017-08-02 21:52

@mmason brightness is already possible on the main manu as it have a "gamma-corrector" in the buttom left, maybe not the best place but it's there :) Motion blur was sort of an experiment which I forgot to turn off but felt like it gave a creep feel to the game, thanks for the comment and rating :)

I finished the game and liked the unexpected twist at the end.

80MB that's a lot texture! The visual quality was certainly there. Good work on the ambiance. I was worried there would be a jump scare at any moment.

The movement was pretty stiff: I got the impression the player is taking 'steps' rather than just moving by a simple velocity, so it led to having to adjust around in order to get where I wanted to go.

Just played your game, it was really cool. Great graphics and ambience sound. The flashlight was kinda weak 😛 It was a cool game and I liked it 😉

I love the mood of this game. Graphics and sounds are awesome! :) Well done!

Wish there were more puzzles 'cause I really enjoyed playing it :) For some reason I got stuck between 2 beds in the final room for a while. Very nice graphics!

Very good mood of this game and great graphics and sounds. Would have liked a bit more scary moments but the puzzles were nice. Well done!

The graphics look great and, together with the audio, set up some great mood for this game! Nice work there, sir! :O

The game felt a bit slow at first, but playing it felt nice soon enough, so it wasn't an issue. I did like the way the puzzles were a bit random, and that's a great point! Specially with the mood, it kinda gives the player some kinda desperate moments, even without the jumpscares.

That last puzzle was kinda anti-climatic, though, but didn't take any of the experience playing it, so Good Work there! :) Congrats on your project!

Definitely felt the creepy factor and it made me think. The flashlight helped but the light was pretty dimmed making it hard to see anything unless I was very close to it or perhaps it was my contrast setting. :D

This is extremely good. Very well atmosphere, created by the lighting and music and the well crafted models. I did spend a very long time searching for clues. Good amount of play time. Thanks for this this game!

I really would like to see the intended fourth puzzle, this great game deserves to be properly finishided! :P The chill mood is well rendered, thanks to the music and sounds, but mainly by the design of the room. After finishing, one could guess more puzzles behind this final door. :D Well done!

valphera 2017-08-16 22:52

Absolutely loved the puzzles, they were really challenging and I had to think about them a lot to figure out what I had to do but it made me feel clever to achieve solving them.

It's impressing that the puzzles are random, I played three times and had a different experience The energy counter going down is really stressful, and that's great, you feel the pressure everywhere as you are stuck with a puzzle and you take a look at the counter!

The 3D models are well done, and the atmosphere is perfect, a nice creepy mood (I was so scared the first time I heard a door opening Jesus), good job on the SFX as well. And I kinda like the motion blur, it's not really doing something in particular for the game but I always liked motion blur so...

Few minor problems: -You should lock the camera when reading the note/entering passcodes -Maybe give a little more hints for the player, it's possible to solve the puzzles but still really tricky.

Amazing entry!

Pretty decent puzzles. Not too hard but there were a couple red herrings (clues/details the lead to nothing) that made me think way harder than I needed to. One thing that bothered me was that it was impossible to see the body storage units (I have no idea what they are called) on the wall, so it took me forever to find out that you could interact with them.

BTW you really missed out on an opportunity to just lock the player in the last room when they entered the last code. xD

Good job!

tiberiusuciu 2017-08-17 06:28

Beautiful looking game, the ambiance is just perfect. The movement is a bit clunky, my character feels like he's a bit too slow... perhaps since he just woke up from the morgue it could play a part in it ;) Regardless, the game is fun, and i'd like this to become into some sort of horror/thriller game, you're on the right path!

Good job!!

garethjenkins 2017-08-17 08:57

Good mood and feel, felt it was a little slow to figure anything out -- but playing in WebGL version made it harder.

shaolin-dave 2017-08-21 06:28

The game doesn't work out to well in HTML5. I realized the same thing with my game as well, the web version doesn't do it justice and people don't download the stand-alone version because they can try the web version so quickly.

I did download the Mac version (thank you for supporting multiple platforms). Graphics and mood are amazing, but it's very obviously a trial-and-error type game. It's pretty tedious, especially for LDJam players who want to play as many of these thousands of games as possible.

The UI on the title screen could use some work, the image I was suppose to be looking at while adjusting gamma was halfway off the screen. Minor detail but it helps to pay attention to things like that.

sgt3v 2017-08-22 13:00

Its nice the game catches the mood very well, I wandered around suspiciously waiting for something to jump on me. Not that I am a fan of jump-scare games but the tension is important.

minimumentropy 2017-08-22 13:46

This game is really cool! Figuring out what to do without without hints was kind of tricky, but the vibe is very eerie and the atmosphere is on point. The lighting added to the feel a lot. I think in the future, consider adding some spooky sound effects.
