Hey! I think you go to Abertay, right!? Nice game, seen your screenshots (Won't name drop). Relaxing and looks cool.

I like the gameboy style graphics, games a bit light though!

I like how this reminded me of old gameboy graphics.
Some powerups would have been nice tough, good job nevertheless. On a sidenote, try changing the filter mode on your sprites setting it to "Point" might get rid of those burry edges.

Not a bad start. I did test the limits of the world map and found that I could venture out of the game area. I thus sailed for a time in the endless blue of the Unity sea. Great was to start off Ludum Dare! Clever name as well; the Destructopus.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'll be continuing this on and improving things. I found the venturing issue probably about half an hour before submission but nothing I did could really fix it so I'll look into that more in the future along with adding powerups, AI, scoring systems, etc.

Thanks again everyone!

Graphics are pretty good!

Overall a nice game for a first try. I am guessing a majority of the time went to learning unity and getting art completed. Next Ludum Dare look toward smaller play areas to help focus more on win conditions and progression. Looking forward to more games!

Ok here is a few tips for u. First, if you make 2d pixelated games, set the texture import to Pixelated instead of Bilinear. That would make them look the way they should.
Second, make sure the level has colliders, because now you can get out of the map with ease. Third, fix the trigger enter scripts, because there is 1-2 seconds dely on the destructin of a building/car/man. Other than that I had fun :)
