I am not about to install an application, especially one that requests unrestricted access to my computer.

Lock it down man.

biliogadafr 2015-04-20 02:17

Is it beatable? :)

borkleby 2015-04-20 13:05

I played this earlier and it took me a while to get the joke. Nice job, man. Nice job. Unfortunately there's really no way to put this on the web...

lumscum 2015-04-21 21:16

Aha that was really clever!

kikaz 2015-04-22 13:20

Excellent idea, what a powerful unconventional weapon !

sonnybone 2015-04-23 07:54

WOW. I can't say much without spoiling anything so I'll just say you nailed innovation and theme on this one. There isn't a ton of content here but your art is always so charming and the music is still rockin' like usual. Good work! haha

tselmek 2015-04-23 11:44

This was fun, took me a while to figure it out.

asobitech 2015-04-23 12:18

Genius. I really like how well you think outside of the box.
At first I was thinking why isn't there any feedback for when I hit Yalg'th, looks like he's missed that.

Great charming graphics and exceelent music driving the action.
The post compo changes are really nice icing on the cake and bring it together.

Clever clever clever. I was going to mention how short it ended up being, but I'll chalk that up to my own superior intellect.

I think with such a small scope, the graphics could have been much better, but The audio was rad and reflected exactly the right amount of polish I would expect.

Music is great. I had to play a second time just to listen to the whole track since the game is so quick. However I guess that's quite variable based on drunkeness or sleeplessness. The sword was awesome but I kept seeing small bits of pornography in it! That's a pretty weird bug, man.

amras0000 2015-05-02 06:05

That got a laugh out of me. Main issue is that the music stops looping after a few minutes, and there doesn't seem to be a way to exit the game from the starting screen.

samh 2015-05-03 08:42

It took me quite some time to get it. Well done.

rockhoppergames 2015-05-03 08:48

This game got me smiling pretty quickly, which is a good sign. The music is good, though it doesn't loop, but thankfully you can mute Yalg'th's growls after it's done! I got the basic idea pretty early, but spent a while trying to climb the lasers to reach the solution and hit it with my sword (which might have been a bit more fun if it was possible). Good showing for 48 hours though!

arhpositive 2015-05-03 10:28

So, what do I have to do to... oh.. OH!

Nice idea. Nice music.

jk5000 2015-05-03 11:58

Hahahahahahahahahaha++

franklins-ghost 2015-05-03 13:39

Liked the art style, just wish there was a bit more content. Clever use of the theme though and that music was great, worked really well in game.

ghostbomb 2015-05-03 22:14

Haha, nice little gag game. Very clever. Took some time to figure out the solution because I was focusing too much on why the sword was transparent. The music is also very catchy.

(About my game, I've never been able to replicate that crash on my computer, so it's gonna be near impossible to fix.)

ghostbomb 2015-05-03 22:16

(I'm also too lazy to switch the links around in the editor)

alexrose 2015-05-05 16:51

So, this was a really cool idea. I guess there could've been more to it, maybe stuff like dragging around the window would do things and whatnot, or there was some way to actually use the transparent stuff (no idea how you would use that though), but it was a fun end and rewarding.

Nice one.

Oh, also music was really catchy and cool.

atmospherium 2015-05-07 01:20

Man, I played this forever before I figured out how to win. Thanks for making me feel dumb. ;)

Really like the novel approach to the theme. Music was great, just wish it looped.

foolmoron 2015-05-08 03:09

Oh my god this is exactly my kind of game. Flawless execution. Graphics were mediocre, sound was alright, music was awesome (but too loud), but let me just tell you how I played the game.

Started it up and started jumping around and swinging. At first I was really frustrated that the platforms were so random, but I was determined to get up to the eye and slash him to death. Got up to the eye and tried to hit him and I just bounced back like nothing. I must have done something wrong. Tried for a while to no avail. Then I wondered why this sword was an unconventional weapon at all, and noticed that it was transparent, which was really surprising (I also didn't really read the text at the beginning). That got me thinking about the meta stuff, so I tried moving the window around, but it didn't move, which make me realize that the border of the window wasn't an actual window border. Clicked the X and saw the highly satisfying animation. Good stuff.

Improvements (other than graphics) would be to add more layers of meta - like you close the window and something happens, but then you have to close the process in the task manager or something to REALLY kill it.

Clever.

caranha 2015-05-10 02:52

Fantastic -- you had me for almost 5 minutes wailing at the monster with the sword, and then I gave up, and then I won - just like a Zen Koan or something like that :-P

The sound effects were really nice!

managore 2015-05-11 13:35

Hahahaha I love these sort of think-outside-the-box games! I'm not sure what can be said about the game, except that the effect at the beginning when the wave of transparency ripples into the sword made me instantly impressed, and that I wish there was more to do in the game using this idea! Gorgeous animation and beautiful audio made this a short, but lovely, experience.
