Worked fine on android!
Super polished and funny animations. The gameplay gets boring a bit fast but the content that is there is very well produced.
That was some nice dance moves! And I really enjoyed the animation upon failing to keep the party alive too. The interaction and game mechanics could probably have benefited from some rhythm based mechanic or at least a clear escalating difficulty.
@thedoctoroftime sorry I'm not sure why some people get a white screen. I have heard about people having that issue with my games but I'm not sure why it happens so it's been hard for me figure out how to fix it.
@gronk yeah it does get pretty repetitive and boring after awhile and I did think of having it speed up and get harder as you play but didn't get a chance to try it.
@local-minimum thanks was pretty funny to act out especially since I didn't have a hula hoop so just had to pretend and then animate it in afterwards. Adding rhythm mechanics would have been a great touch too and if I'd had time and could figure it out would be nice to add in and try.
@Franklins-ghost what are you using for the game can I ask owo
I just tried it on my phone and it's really fun :O the game is repetitive but the art is just so nice that I ended up playing for around an hour lmao
@thedoctoroftime thanks so much for trying again and giving it a play. Yeah it definitely is very repetitive and gets boring after a bit. Wish I'd had time to make more timing mechanics or difficulty with it speeding up. I use Animate (the new version of Flash) to make my games. Been meaning to move to Unity for years but haven't had the time to learn something new.
The graphics are really good ! It reminds me a wario-ware game ! Well done.
I Love the concept! This Giant Robot that give power to the city hoolahooping hahaha I love when games explore new things. The art direction is very cool. You can create a nice mobile game with this. Maybe different kind of controls, real sliders, rotate, spam buttons etc... And of course I d like to see him dancing on music. maybe lights can be connected to the music beats on a full version. Congrats it's promising for a real game.
Great atmosphere but the gameplay gets boring. Enjoyed playing it!
Funny game, I enjoyed it. The sound effects were quirky. Some music would have been nice. The gameplay was very boring though, unfortunately. Would've been better of course if it quickly got faster and more difficult, and maybe there would be multiple buttons to press at once to make it more chaotic. Maybe you already know this. Very quirky, humorous and moody though, which made it an enjoyable experience despite the slow gameplay. Good job!
Haha!! Fun game. Love rhythm type games, great entry!
Great looking game! I played the android version, and it started out fun, but then it never seemed to get any more difficult (I played up to a score of 135). I think that this game would be much more fun if the buttons lit up more frequently over time (and maybe sometimes multiple buttons at the same time).
Good job!
Looks great, but I am unfortunately getting the white screen.
Love the animations and style! As others have said I thought it would have sped up as time went on. Would have been cool if the buttons each had a unique sound. Though I appreciated how the sound queue helped know which general area to look in for the button. Thanks!
Awesome graphics, I really enjoyed just looking at the dancing guy ^u^ It lacks a bit of challenge though, you should add a little someting (even something like a "Simon" memory mechanic could add a lot). But overall it's a very nice game fo a jam!
I like the art style but I was expecting some challenge. I think even the need to press multiple buttons in parallel after a while would add something to it.
I liked the main hero - the art, the animation, the sounds he made. I mean, how can you not like a giant hula-hoping robot?
But the gameplay was, to be honest, a bit boring. I kept waiting for the challenge level to pick up and require me to, for example, remember and press some button combinations. But it all stayed the same, so it got old pretty fast.
Still, a good jam job this is! Didn't encounter any bugs or strangeness.
Hey there! Loved the art, the aesthetics and the setting. I think the gameplay was too shallow and not very interesting or playful. It'd be amazing to take that big interface with all those buttons and the character dancing in the background and put some other mechanics in there.
Î liked the dancing guy :)
The game felt a bit slow-paced for me, maybe there could be difficulty options. And I think adding some catchy music (and making it line up with the button beats) would help a lot too in bringing more action to the game.
Cool and funny theme. Woulda been great with at least a basic beat. Seems like it'd make a cool music game.
So simple but so sweet. Really like the art style and although the losing animation terrified me at first, it's a perfect fit. I would say it should speed up over time but that's my only criticism. Very enjoyable.
If you want some constructive cricism: There's a lot of different "stuff" to use, but it's all reduced to just clicking. If you could add something like sequences of buttons, or stuff you can twist, spin or move - that would make it great.
Cool style and overall mood. As mentioned before game really lacks any challenge. Increasing speed over time and adding some background music (to make some kind of rythm-game) would be great!
