Your game crashed for me. WinXP.

I like the idea of shapeshifting by changing the position. I had fun trying to solve the game, but I was surprised when there were only two levels. The game is pretty short, but of the game that there is, I think that it's really interesting.

crowbeak 2016-04-18 01:36

I'm sorry that the game doesn't handle Windows XP (I did make it a 32-bit executable), but I don't think I could fix that even if I wanted to. Windows XP is no longer a safe OS; please upgrade. :(

what kind of dystopian universe do i live in where someone will play video games on windows xp when windows 10 upgrade is free..

ANYWAY i thought it followed the theme very well and it's a really neat idea for a puzzle game. wish you got farther with it. thanks for playing

bleep boop beep! shift the shapes! neato game! needs more levels :)

cornand34 2016-04-18 11:21

I like the graphics

aquilon96 2016-04-18 11:56

It wasn't a lot of fun, but because you started late I think it was just okay.

rockhoppergames 2016-04-18 13:15

Sorry to hear the theme didn't really resonate with you! At least you got some practice with the engine, and got something done in time!

ramayana 2016-04-19 12:10

The idea was good! Too bad for your inspiration and the lack of time.

tomdeal 2016-04-19 14:01

Nice idea, could be a bit longer :-)

kariamoss 2016-04-19 14:37

The idea is really innovative, i liked it. It's just too bad there are only two levels.. Good job however! :)

davisan 2016-04-20 02:58

Cool idea! I liked how the mechanics are explained. Just needed time to do more levels. XD

crowbeak 2016-04-20 06:36

Yeah, this is the work of Sunday, basically. Had I had the idea early on Saturday, I could have gotten the engine finished then and spent all Sunday making levels. :<

Nice short little puzzle. I liked how the game managed to convey the mechanics with very few words without being confusing.

gertjohnny 2016-04-21 05:58

Short, but interesting! Two levels was enough to get the gist of it anyways. Props for sticking with Godot and learning something new though!

thecain 2016-04-21 18:51

Very clever. It might have been worth it to do the Jam and make a few more puzzles.

crowbeak 2016-04-22 10:02

Unfortunately, TheCain, I didn't have time to work on it on the third day anyway. I made hella progress on my personal project yesterday, though, thanks to the things I learned making this. :3

Great job! I really liked the concept you came up with. I can see a lot of potential for depth. Even though it was short I still enjoyed myself. This is a really clever puzzle you've come up with :)

in3orn 2016-04-26 10:34

I really like the concept. One of the most interesting.

franklins-ghost 2016-04-28 13:55

Always hard to make something when you're not inspired by the theme but I like the proof of concept and think it has an interesting take on the shapeshifting mechanic. Also nice that it's helped benefit your personal project.

sunflower 2016-04-30 20:52

That was quite an interesting idea, though I find it a bit hard to tell if it would evolve into something fun with more puzzles and obstacles or not.

Also, I can confirm that starting late kinda sucks; starting late after having work done on earlier idea even more so. >.<

Hopefully you'll get more inspired for the next LD.

captainpilot 2016-05-02 12:45

It's a really neat proof of concept - I guess what you'll get from this jam is feedback on whether it works as a mechanic, to then build on, and in my view it's definitely worth exploring :)

cheesyramen 2016-05-02 13:02

Even though you started late, you do have an interesting proof of concept for a nice & fun puzzle game! Nice job :)

tonbery 2016-05-08 17:04

Only two levels!? D:

It took me some time to figure out how to play, maybe you can work a little more on teaching the mechanics :)

I think you can make more levels and see what comes out of it
A great inspiration is a old game "Porter" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgiw833yeqM

Nice entry :)
