Hard to aim, but fun to play.
Remind me Rez (and so I wonder if just lock missiles aren't enough...)

I really enjoy playing these sorts of shooters, so I liked this a lot!
I like the scaling/shrinking of sprites to create a tunnel-looking effect as well. It reminds me of old Sega arcade games like Power Drift and Galaxy Force II.
Oh man, this looks and feels amazing! So incredible for 48 hours. Hope you do some more on it cause it's a blast to play! I'd love to see a dodge move and some health pickups, maybe rapid fire to save my poor thumb from cramping, although I kinda like that old school feel of mash as fast as you can, so I guess that could be a powerup heheh :D
I'm pretty bad at this, but I really like the music! Very well polished once again too. I feel like the Missiles might be a bit overpowered but maybe I'm just not using the gun well enough.
Mac build seems to be "damaged or incomplete"?
Visuals are pretty nice! Like the simulated 3d/billboarding effect. It was hard to aim without the lockdown, though the rectangle for the orientation of the "screen" helped. It was also a bit hard to tell when the bullets hit you, maybe slower bullets? Or have the bullet change as it gets closer? Anyway pretty cool, nice job!
Really cool visuals, but the aiming is really difficult. I thought that if I line up the rectangle with the enemy I would hit them but even when they are still there is no hit until I'm right in front of them.
This is great! I love the camera rotation tricks, and the soundtrack is really fun too.
Clever game, really liked the style and the environment motion was well done. Did have issues with the aiming and wish it could be clearer. Could get over how well the environment rotations were and how they helped create the mood of a fast paced shooter inside an intestine.
Echoing @akirassasin - Mac build is “damaged or incomplete”
This was a very impressive game to be made in 48 hours - the overall presentation speaks to have been done with much more time! I found the aiming to be a little hard, but the controls were otherwise good. The visuals were super cool and the music was pretty fitting. Great stuff.
I really liked the art style! and the movement/ environments are great! I couldn't really tell what was going on with the shielded enemy, he seemed impossible to damage for ages, with either weapon, and then the shield just went away. Do you just have to wait around until the shield disappears? In any case i could never really see a point in using the bullet gun since the missiles were 100 times easier to use.
Great effort!

Thanks!
Sad to see more people haven't reviewed the game here, you definitely deserve a good score for everything you did. Controls are a little awkward since it's with the arrow keys and not the cursor, but everything else is amazing.
I came here from RPS, nice one :)
Wow, this is fantastic. I really want to hook up and NES controller and play it. Gave me the feel of playing Star Fox back on my SNES. Well done!
Unfortunately i was unable to play this game the OSX build every time I dowloaded and unzipped it I get this message “You can’t open the application “depthgun” because it may be damaged or incomplete.” To bad cause that game looks really cool and I was looking forward to trying it.
A fairly challenging game, and it immediately brings Star Fox to mind, which is a very good thing. With maybe some better calibration on the distance of the targeting reticle or perhaps the added ability to lock on somehow, each gameplay experience might last a little longer. But I love the idea of setting it inside of the body, and the visuals look very nice and almost psychedelic in a way, so great job there.
Those rolls through the intestines are pretty sick, too. That was a very cool touch.
