Really fun game, reminds me a lot of smash, its a little bit confusing that the player that is physically on the right side of the keyboard starts on the left side of the stage. We found a bug as well when we spammed the attack button moving left to combo, we eventually ended in a crash

Hi @spudward ! Thanks for the feedback! I actually also realized the strange control placement, but a bit too late. Could you tell me what the crash screen said? I'll do my best to fix the bug.

@erudis Thanks man! It's actually more inspired by Brawlhalla, but they're similar anyway :shrug:

@skalex Haha yeah, if I had more time and less trips to the church :angry: maybe I could add some more polish. What did the error say?

i can't really remember something like fatal error something wrong with event0 because of some kind of null reference exception
Looks really fun from the video (Im currently on Mac OS, so wasn't able to try it myself).
Very polished. However, I don't really see the theme. But I had fun, and I love the graphical style.
really nice smashbro like game -- glad you added solor mode -- appreciate that -- thanks for making it
Cool game. I like the sound+music. The controls and combos give an awesome feeling. But the single player A.I. is to hard to beat. It's a bit annoying, that it can jump back to ring after falling appart.

@joemanaco Yeah, I'm working on making Mac exports as well.
@devbat8712 It's kind of like you spend the currency that is your life on attacking your opponent... I'm not really sure what mu train of thought was. I first actually wanted to implement weapons, but time exists.
@majadroid You can also jump back in. You have a triple jump and a wall jump, you know.

Awesome! This was all the fun I was hoping my fighting game was going to be :-) Proper impact effects, tricky adversaries and a proper challenge. Just simply awesome! Well done!

good game~!
Enjoyed the challenge and thought the AI worked really well. Was fun to have quick rounds in trying to knock them off the platform. Liked that you had a few jumps to try and get up again before falling off. Also the tracking while out of screen was a fun touch.

Cool smash-inspired gameplay! Don't see that too often done this well, very fluid and simple controls. :) The 'more dmg you take the more you deal' is kinda escalating in powerlevel, but it is not too bad. Would have loved some extra moves / terrain.
Nicely done!
Got pretty common crashes while playing. Here's an example trace:
``` ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event0 for object pDash:
Unable to find any instance for object index '100410' name '' at gml_Object_pDash_Step_0 ############################################################################################ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- stack frame is gml_Object_pDash_Step_0 (line -1) ```
Other than that, was pretty fun, though jumping felt a bit unnecessary as you can dash an unlimited number of times =X
Love this game so much! The art is incredible, the animations are superb, and the sound effects give the game a very punch-y feel. The aspect-ratio (i know it sounds weird) is also really nice, since you feel like you are getting a wider, larger view on the scene. The graphics are simple, yet the work so well with the simple fighting, and when you add the "n"x combo pop up to the screen, it doesn't feel overly crowded. Excellent work, and great job on getting the whole sha-bang wrapped up in 48 hours!
@cogcomp @gamefive @franklins-ghost @jackson-makes-games Thanks guys! This means a lot to me. :smile:
@joror I'll add some more levels in the next post-jam update, and perhaps even different characters. Thanks for the suggestion. :thumbsup:
@ddrkirbyisq Whoops! :flushed: What a dumb mistake. :sweat_smile: The dashing has been limited, and the bug fixed.
