What a fun little game! The art is astonishing. Unfortunately there seems to be no sound. But I really enjoyed collecting the toys. Feels just like real gacha :D

I encountered a bug while playing where it would not show the correct Image on the side after opening the toy too quickly (double clicking essentialy).

azargaz 2019-04-30 15:59

Really simple but cool and enjoyable game. I really like the artstyle and all the descriptions on items.

I found one bug: if you use up all gachapons in one of containers (or at least in the 1$ one) it breaks the game, there is no button to skip years and you're stuck with no money.

I found this to be calming, and a lovely insight into another person's life. It could have used some sound, but the art was lovely and made me giggle.

cnnmon 2019-05-01 02:08

this is SO beautiful and wholesome!! thank you for making this game!

barret 2019-05-01 02:58

I'll admit I didn't understand the game at first probably b/c I never played a gacha game before. But then it just started clicking. I really really wish there was some music to match the tone of the game especially the sad moments but the art is beautiful I really love it and love the cozy nature of the game. And the replay-ability to catch all the toys was a fun touch.

I just hope I don't get addicted to gacha games now lol

drauthius 2019-05-01 14:35

Very cute and well made. I like how you tied together the theme.

hadesfury 2019-05-01 14:36

Well done .. good idea .. has to complete sets :)

goomboo 2019-05-01 15:08

The art is amazing ! It makes me want to collect all the toys just to see their sprite hahaha

jvolonte 2019-05-01 17:17

Amazing art! I liked the idea and the messages for each toy were well thought. Nice job :)

Found a small bug where if you pay two times without picking up the previous toy the first one is lost, not gamebreaking at all but thought I'd let you know

tbaudon 2019-05-01 17:25

Lovely graphics and mood, too bad you didn't had time to add a cute relaxing musing and some sfx. I didn't understand how to use the toy slot though

palsina 2019-05-01 19:00

Calming and nostalgic. The art is just beautiful.

deprecat 2019-05-01 23:32

Such a cute game. Feels kind of meditative. I love all the flavor text for the gacha's!

yojammerjammer 2019-05-02 04:51

I really liked this. It's like a "game of life" game in a vending machine. Neat idea!

landosystems 2019-05-02 05:09

Very sweet game. The gameplay, music, and art all mesh extremely well. I really enjoyed this, great work!

rayriver 2019-05-02 08:27

Really sweet and cute game! I love the art style and how it presents to me. It's a litter wierd that you gain 3 dollars every few years.. I also have some ideas about gacha, but it's more darker...

duke 2019-05-02 15:01

Great Art and animation! Really polished and thought through. The colors and strokes really fit the general mood of the game. That said, I'm not the biggest fan of the gameplay loop, but I can see that you implemented it like you visioned it to be, so that's alright :)

graebor 2019-05-02 18:58

Very cute - the music is perfect and overall mood is really cohesive. Nice job!

cdunham 2019-05-03 02:45

Small little relaxing jam game. I like the way different sets are implemented, but since each run is only 5 rounds it might take a long time to collect all of the prizes.

hans1203 2019-05-03 06:58

Relaxing and calming ,also quite interesting to play.Love the graphics.

fazz 2019-05-03 08:26

Incredibly lovely game.

prodigalson 2019-05-03 13:08

What a nice relaxing game and I like the many choices be it scary outcomes. :) I'm big on Japanese culture so when I saw "Gacha" I had to play it. Really like how that style of randomness and choice was built into the game. Nice little sweet game. :D

tekses 2019-05-03 14:56

I felt reall serene while playing this game. A beautifull idea!

mika-la-grand 2019-05-03 16:59

The art is nice and music creates a great mood. It wasn't all that obvious at first that you're suppose to press the "a few years later" button to continue, since it is the same colour as the background.

deathbysnail 2019-05-03 20:25

What a cute, meditative experience. Love the drawings.

rodobodolfo 2019-05-03 22:16

wow, suddenly I was really chill and with an urge of unlock everything. Great Game, Loved it!!!

kukareru-sekai 2019-05-03 23:00

I don't think I got it, but it was nice getting some gachas. The ghost series was nice.

maychant 2019-05-04 04:00

It gives me a nostalgic feeling... and the art is just great and sets the mood perfectly!

zchen 2019-05-04 09:56

Thank you all for your kind words! It means a lot to us knowing that people enjoyed our simple, cosy game.

What would you folks like to see most in a game like Gacha? We're always open to suggestions on what people might like in our games.

johnnydalvi 2019-05-04 15:36

nice and chill experience, congrats. Perhaps would be a nice idea to add some highlight mechanic on things that are interactable, it's quite hard to understand where you need to press at first

reality-blind 2019-05-04 18:03

Really soothing, and as an impulsive collector, I played more time than I thought I would be playing 😁

Good job, it's refreshing to find a game like yours from time to time 🙂

acactus 2019-05-05 04:28

i left the music on this running in the background. Really liked the art and the mechanics used for this. nice and relaxing.

zanagi 2019-05-05 21:23

Nice and simple, and the gachas go well with the theme.

solifuge 2019-05-06 22:06

I adored this game. What a simple, beautiful meditation on life and the choices we make in it! A Gachapon and it's randomness-with-choices makes a pretty good vehicle to carry that metaphor too. Especially liked how certain outcomes unlock new paths, and create a little story of someone's life. I love this!

Nice choice on letting the player influence outcomes by putting a capsule in the tray... that makes it a little easier to try to get certain outcomes. That definitely helps in a Game Jam setting, if you're like me and you want to read all the little story blurbs and see the cute art.

Mood. And you folks made the right call, I think. Congrats on your entry, and thanks for sharing it with us. :3

hermbit 2019-05-07 02:06

Touching game.. I loved it. Thank you for making this. I needed it, in a way.

damantisshrimp 2019-05-07 10:56

Soothing experience :) Great music and visuals!

franklins-ghost 2019-05-07 11:30

Lovely art and liked how the items helped reveal more story. Simple gameplay executed extremely well.

dimesto52 2019-05-07 13:50

we hang if we take only objects to 1 euro. otherwise it may be interesting for little children

zchen 2019-05-07 22:28

@solifuge Oh gosh, thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to us and it's always special to feel like you're not struggling alone. Here's to making good art! (credit Mr. Gaiman)

@hermbit Anytime, that's why we do it. I'm glad you enjoyed it

Thank you all for playing and your feedback! We're keeping track of all your suggestions and bugs found!

angela-he 2019-05-09 07:06

AAAA you've done it again you've made an amazing game again~~~~

THIS IS SO CUTE this feels like it has a ton more personality than the last game of yours I've played congrats!

Ugh the animations, the polish! So good

So happy I can play gacha games without having to spend money lol

Wow but onto the story of the game - hit me in the feels because I went straight into the game thinking it was mere shallow gacha but nope it was about LIFE. And I could relate to my little items!! There were some sad items (was called weird - yep lol I feel it) and some lovely items (like a love for reading!) God the items and their little descriptions were so real, I loved it. Better than other gacha - I kept wanting to get items but because I could relate, not cause they were kawaii waifus.

Thanks for the amazing game! Can't wait to see what you come out with next jam.

ddrkirbyisq 2019-05-12 22:20

ALPACAAAAA~~~

There are a couple (??) bugs that can happen if you click too fast (impatient me, bah!) -- managed to get stuck on my first playthrough, boo! I think it happens if you click on the crank while in the middle of the UI transition where it shows the last gacha you got. I was also able to get one of my gacha's stuck in the tray, whoops! But such is LD, I guess, no matter, no mind!

This was great and was even more addictive than real life gachapon since you can just keep trying endlesslyyyyyy

Great personality, don't know what else to say, share this one around!

Thanks for coming up with a great spin on the theme.

zchen 2019-05-14 05:26

@angela-he Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the game. The art was all the work of the amazing [@_jewellpopp](https://twitter.com/_jewellpopp)! We took awhile to brainstorm little life experiences that we related to so I'm happy that they spoke to you too. Yes, till next jam! Are you working on anything else at the moment?

@ddrkirbyisq Thank you for the feedback! It means a lot to us when players enjoy a game enough to share it around. And yes, we love alpacas too haha. I have a small-kid-sized alpaca toy sitting in the corner of my room.

jomiak 2019-05-18 18:32

Great use of a well known concept! Matches the theme perfectly and the art style and music are both really well done. Very addictive, but that's the nature of gachapon. Overall really great game with bounds of replay-ability and amazing polish.

benjamin 2019-05-20 10:49

Very nice and nostalgic. It seems we share a vision for this theme :D
