Love the art style!
Great job. Really good looking animations and great level design.
Thank you very much!
Maybe there's some great gameplay here but due to extreme performance issues i maybe had at max 20fps. I loved the graphics though. And it looks promising.
May I ask you what kind of system you run the game on? I'm curious, as my own computer is fairly outdated, I'd like to know if it's due to your CPU, or another factor. Game maker has the problem of running games in a single loop, logic and graphics, so if I were to go bellow 60fps it would be for everybody :(
Thanks in advance!
wouldn't start from title screen so I ran it from game maker with the source file.
Nice looking game, I'm surprised no one else has come up with this concept since in LD34 I saw SOOOO many endless runners. I was glad this was not procedurally/semi-randomly generated and that you took the time to craft levels for the forms.
Nice work!
Took me a bit to realise you had to click on the pillars to start a level. Think maybe if they glowed or lit up then it might make it clearer they need to be clicked to begin. Fun game though and liked the different animal forms you could take. Got upto the last level but as you mentioned it's really hard. I couldn't get past the rapid change between the bear and hare. Great use of the theme.
I think the obscure interface isn't great, I've been working on a post compo version of the game since the end of the LD and I've addressed the issue with a roll-over glow. Seeing people live getting trouble understanding you have to click on them was an eye opener.
Last level was made more friendly and finished. I added a new final level, and it's still hard. The game is probably to hard overall, but I'm willing to call it completed. Just need some background arts and sounds, and the final version will be completed! Lots of tweak were made, the game is more fair now, hitting a wall is not immediate game over, and you have to press R to restart a room, no overwhelming spiral of instant death when you begin. I'll post a link to the final version for those interested in seeing the evolution.
I will have time to play and rates games now!
Awesome graphics. Good gameplay too.
Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
Nice presentable game.Great graphics nice character swapping in the game.
Nice job.
The difficulty of the last level beat me ! :s
AMAZING GRAPHICS AND AESTHETICS. I COMMEND THEE
Ahah thanks guys. The finished version on Game Jolt is WAY easier and well balanced. This version is NUTS in difficulty.
Graphics are probably 30% of the jam's time.
The game is gorgeous, to bad there's is no music =/
The level design is well done, we learn about each shape then about when to switch and then we're on our own. The only drawback is that the first bird level has some really hard and frustrating parts. Also the fact that the bird dies when touching the ground or ceiling feels a bit frustrating and artificial.
Excellent job anyway !
wonderfull art style !!!
