The game was really awesome. I played it like an hour. I liked the idea of the game a lot. But I really struggled to understand that. Really I was just trying to punch the gunman. I figured it out after I re-read your description. There can be a tutorial. But even without it it's definetly a good game.
This is a really fun game. There are a list of bugs, just as any game made in a weekend would have, however the overall game was quite enjoyable. I did also get the same bug as @firtage , and I couldn't move after respawning, which made me have to restart the game.
Love the concept! Would like to try a version of superhot with this bodyhop mechanic!
This game was amazing! It took me some tries to get used to it but then it was really fun. It had a combination of tactics and action and every death felt compleltely fair since you should've just been quickar at clicking the other person. My record was 14495 and then I had killed everyone, I am right in saying there is no "Game Finished" screen? The controls felt "juicy".
1: The bullets were shot a little bit to the side of the curor which made it harder since you had to move it to take over the person (since that was DIRECTLY under the cursor). 2: if you move in towards any enemy that shoots and stands next to them, they dont shoot. (It's probaby easy to fix with some layer or range value but that was useful.) 3: The game would freeze for a fraction of a second after taking over somebody-elses body. 4: When you move diagonaly you move faster, you should normalize the movement vector or multiply both horizontal and vertical movement by 1.414 (sqrt(2)) if you move both ways. That is assuming it wasn't intentional to raise the skill ceiling. 5: No "Game Finished" / "You did it" screen?
The sound fit with the game but since you don't have that category I'ma assume you didn't make it. If you were able to add some heartbeat effect when you had a low hp it would be awesome, I had those moments of really low hp so I had to find someone, but I had to not get shoot when I moved towards them, a heartbeat (or something else with the same purpose) would add so much to that. Some sound effect when you swich body, some schwoosh or something would add to it. I didn't even notice the lack of music but maybe some battle theme when you were in a fight, or only music when you were out of a fight? If you add music it shouldn't be to overwhelming, the punch and fire effect are the ones you really want to hear so they should be prominent.
I also liked the artstyle and esesially the humans, it felt rough which fit with the game. The level looked good and had small props to not make it feel repetitive. The scenery and floor changed so you didn't get bored of them. There were only 4 different enemies, which was plenty good, but maybe you could've made a different color for them that was used when you "controled" them. It wouldn't add much and it was easy to know who you were now too, but it would look cool. Maybe some magenta theme with particles, idk. On the same topic some more effect would've been nice. I know that it's a jam and you don't have time for everything but maybe some effects from you currently overtoken body, some death effect and so on. Maybe even a blood effect, noramly I don't want games to add that, but it would fit so well with the rest of the game. (Acording to me)
If you were to fix some isues, clean it up a little and maybe add different powers or something to add depth, I would problaby play it like any other game. Really well done, great entry, you should be proud!
Wow thanks you all for your quality feedbacks and bug reports, i for one did not expect so much support!
As the 3d artist i am very happy to read that my models and animations as a whole fit well together, and add to the game :D.
To address some common issues:
Normally a fix has been issued about the respawn problem, players no longer need to close the game to retry.
As for the sound indeed, we had no audio designer/music inclined people in our team, so i found some great sfx and music on OpenGameArt.org, mixed them up with audacity and poof, we had sound ! (I learned much thanks to our last game... sound problems).
Also we did integrate a background music, but apparently not all hear it. we will look into it if more people report it.
The pistol shoots a bit to the side of the cursor, currently we do not know the cause, but it is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.
Finally indeed we did not have the time to create a victory screen, a glaring oversight on our part, sadly adding one now do not feel like a fix and so to respect the rules of the jam it will stay this way for now.
Again thank you all for your feedbacks and bug reports, it is thanks to people like you that we get better at each jam!

I had a lot of fun playing this. The core mechanic is really solid and I could see being expanded into a larger experience. Its a ton of fun to just let an enemy whittle your health down, then switch places with them and obliterate them. The difficulty and complexity escalated nicely too. Great job!
Nice game. But I the camera does not have a delay so it's hard to click the enemy to switch while moving. But I reached some 6k score. I have no idea if that's good or bad
Keep up the good work.
Awesome game! Great concept, really fun to play etc. Was a bit hard to aim with the AR, and it felt like the graphics were a bit different styles! Otherwise I think you did great! This game was really really fun, well executed and overall really good. It gave an early GTA feeling which I think is great! Good job you should be proud!
thank you for all your feedbacks, i am very happy that our game is so well recieved ! even though max seems too exited by a notch ^^
When I found a gun and start shooting, it reminded old games with cheat for endless ammo =)
But sometimes I lost the cursor and not understood where the aim of shooting =\
we'll think about the cursor in our future jams, thank you !
I loved this game. So far, it has been my personal favorite from the jam. It is really well made, especially for being made in a weekend, and is genuinely fun. There are a few bugs here and there, but that's to be expected for a weekend project. If you ever continue this project though, I would recommend fixing the bug where enemies can harm you when not facing you first.
Incredible game! So far it's my favourite. Really well made and heaps of fun for a good amount of time as well! The idea is really unique and fits the theme well. Keep reviewing games because this is winning material!
Loved the concept and the graphics! Appreciated the difficulty level too, nice job!
Really fun game, i've enjoyed it alot, one consideration the bullet trajectory is not the exact same as the mouse, wich makes a little weird when shooting.
Great idea! It took me a few tries to get the hang of it but then I went on a spree. The machine gun is the business haha very satisfying. I enjoyed the variation in the environment and the models/animation did the trick. Also an interesting take on the theme. I found the aiming to be a bit off and sometimes it was hard to click on a body to swap. Maybe an enlarged cursor would help? Probably a reticle would make sense. Good job on this I had fun!
Indeed the shooting angle is clearly off! it passed through during submission and we just didn't get around to fix it yet. Thank you all for your appreciation, it is truely humbling !
Good game! Reminds me the old movie Fallen! The action is great, and the mechanics to control "other" people is cool! Maybe you'all can improve the camera behaviour, focus where the main character is aiming... also add more gamefeel: animations and fx: deads, bullet impacts, blood... I think can improve a lot the game. Overall it's a great game with a lot of action! Congrats! Screenshot_6.jpg
Quite an addictive game. Really enjoyed playing this one and figuring out my strategy of when best to change bodies. Thought it worked really well in adding in a different element to the game. Also reminded me of the game Messiah where you could possess people and try and figure out how to get further with the different bodies.
