Great mechanics, clever puzzle gameplay and - most importantly - a good difficulty curve. Great game!
I liked the way that the Cloud World switched things up from a maze game to a platformer, and that the maps corresponded to each other. I wasn't too keen on the music in the Bloom World but everywhere else it seemed to work.
I thought the wireframes were a really nice aesthetic touch, and the whole game has a great atmosphere to it! My only criticisms would be that the movement is a little slow, but apart from that, this was a fun game!
The battle mechanics are confusing, but the weird drawings-on-sticks thing you have going on is probably the most interesting thing I've seen in LD30 graphics wise. So I guess good overall??? I definitely liked it.
My favourite entry so far. Really well written, and I thought the red/yellow/green mechanic was really interesting. A joy to play.
Really great concept for a game, executed well with simple gameplay but a well balanced difficulty. And the art is really well done!
Neat idea for a game, cool entry!
Interesting, challenging but fun half-puzzle half-adventure game!
I think the concept you tried to tackle was quite a large one to try and turn into a game in 3 days, but you did an admirable job! I really liked the illustrations, and the way that the characters change over time is both subtle and believable. As a few other people have said, the game is really good at putting relationships across, and as I began to lose friends I felt gutted. Interesting entry, well done!
One of my fav games of LD so far - Unfortunately though the audio didnt seem to work for me. Still, great work!
Great entry! An interesting take on the theme with really fun, responsive platformer gameplay. The graphics and soundtrack are also really stylish.
Really enjoyable, small game. Looks good, plays pretty well and I like the level design a lot.
An interesting take on the theme. The implementation of the music was especially great. I'm really glad to see more LD games take this sort of unusual direction, breaking away from the traditional model of what counts as a "game". Kudos!
Really interesting twine, I like your writing style a lot.
Good concept well executed. The visuals in particular are really well done as they convey all the info the player needs about the state of the game board really simply. Would have liked a way to reverse one or two moves per game to help get out of unwinnable states without having to restart the whole level, but on the whole an excellent little puzzle game!
My only criticism is that pit/lava deaths seem unfair because you die as soon as you get near them. But that's splitting hairs, this is really well done and really fun!
A great entry, really simple and addictive gameplay with well made sound and graphics. It's also probably the most polished entry I've played so far - it doesn't look like it was made in two days! Well done! :)
It was appropriate that I was drinking for this. Nice entry!
Really impressively well polished! I think the waves could come out faster, though, to save the player running back and forth around the map. Also, the player sprite disappears upon replay. Nice entry!
Really great entry - nice implementation of the core mechanic!
Neat entry. I really liked the implementation of music in the gameplay. Criticisms are that the enemies don't reset upon player death, and that the controls felt clumsy sometimes.
Really polished entry with fun gameplay - great job!
Really great entry with neat visuals and music! Navigating around tight corners was a bit frustrating at times but this was a really fun game overall!
Controls could do with fine-tuning, but this is a really fun, polished entry nonetheless! Great work! :)
I liked this entry. The use of secret scoring systems was a clever twist, though I think it should have been made more explicit in the game itself. Liked the visuals and music as well.
Great atmosphere, amazing music, one of my favourite entries so far!
Not sure how it relates to the theme, but I thought this was a well made, cute little game. Liked the art as well - good entry!
Probably my favourite entry so far. Really really fun, well paced, satisfying gameplay. Great work!
A fun, challenging game once you get a handle on the controls. I liked the pixel aesthetic as well. Nice entry!
Really liked the direction of the art style, and changing the furniture into different things was fun!
Ha! This was a fun entry. Plus it made me hungry.
This was fun! I actually thought the graphics worked really well stylistically as well.
Well made gameplay and visuals, though I wish there was something to do with it! Might also be a good idea to keep the camera a little further away from the truck so the player can see more.
Amazing looking game, really impressed with the level of polish. A really great concept well executed, would love to see an expanded post-LD version!
Download is bad :/
Great entry! Really interesting concept and it looks great. Nice to have a slower paced game in the LD
Clever mechanic, reasonably well executed with some neat puzzles. Nice entry!
Great concept, I really liked the main mechanic! A solid entry :)
Interesting use of ASCII, nice to see that kind of variety! This was a real challenge - I got swarmed by enemies before I could afford to make a weapon the first time. But a neat entry! :)
Tough but really satisfying gameplay, and great visuals!
Well polished, interesting game. Not sure how it fits the theme, but it was fun anyway! Could be really impressive with some post-LD expansion and fine tuning! Good entry! :)
Fantastic entry! Really fun and well thought out implementation of the core mechanic.
Always glad to see an IF entry!
Technical errors aside, I thought this was good. My only big concern was that the ending seemed to come out of nowhere - suddenly there's this revenge scene where before the story was more morose in tone. I did like how the choice at the ending, with there not being a "canonical" or "correct" ending.
GAMES ARE ART
This was a fun entry - wish there was more to it, health in particular would have added a challenge. But a good first LD! (And don't worry about the shortness, we all know what that's like! :P)
Really liked the use of music, though I did notice that the two paths at the beginning lead to the same place, which undermines that choice. Great atmosphere, well done!
Brilliant, really fun game! One of my favourites so far! Great job :)
Really great concept well implemented, with some good level design and challenge to boot. Great entry!
Great polish and sense of humour. Great entry!
Interesting take on the theme, though I was never quite sure what was going on!
Platforming was a little frustrating, but apart from that it was an interesting and fun game. Really loved the visuals as well.
One of the better uses of theme I've seen. Really liked the writing - great entry!
Good entry, fun and simple, and I love the voice over!
Really fun, one of my favourite entries!
Great first entry, really fun and simple gameplay!
Neat entry - a little easy, but a really fun and simple concept!
Really great game! I love the aesthetic and the difficulty. Well done!
Wish there'd been a bit of music, but asides from that this game was really interesting! Nice entry
Really liked the art and music, and the gameplay was simple enough to pick up. Great entry!
