This seems really cool, but the interface feels rather clunky, if not broken. I was able to chill to some sick chants+harp though for a min.

A little difficult to understand at first, but fun and adictive when you learn the ropes. Good sound and graphics. Cool concept.

@Xero560 The interface is definetly not broken, we couldn't explain it inside the game so we made a tutorial in the descricption:

TUTORIAL:
- Click buttons to do things :D.
- Click either the "rabbit" or the "snail" button to start the melody, one of this buttons must be clicked to proceed.
- Click 1 or 2 instruments to combine them.
- Click on the start button to continue.

Have fun guys :)

neat homma homma!!!

sanart 2016-08-30 16:56

Difficult(couldn't have more than 60), but good idea.

oskardevelopment 2016-08-30 18:32

Difficult to learn, though was quite easy when finally figured out the combination. As long as you did Rabbit + Calm when good stuff and Snail + Rage if bad stuff it mostly went great. :p

Would've been cool to see how the game evolved when the tribe evovled with me as the leader.

Very special but definetly interesting game. A description on hovering over the icons would have helped in the beginning. Art was perfect for what the game is and the sounds especially the "songs" are great.

very artistic and unique game! a little hard to understand the rules. and I think it's better to put the titles of the themes also inside the game and not only on the main menu. very nice idea! ingenious.

keln 2016-08-30 19:34

Thank you all for the feedback! Definetly good ideas for a better understanding of the game :)

suimisu 2016-08-30 19:37

Really fun idea playing with music:) I needed some time to get it but my tribe kept me going, really nice animation with the dancing. I missed some variation in the needed music pieces (often joy+fun, fear+sad, ...), so maybe more different events?

You could also expand into more modern ages later if you succesfully lead your tribe and add more emotions / music instrument melodies and new needs for the tribe if you want to develop it further.

Also sometimes I felt like the melodies didn't play but maybe that was because of not starting with joy/sad.

keln 2016-08-30 19:41

@suimisu Thanks! There are actually 51 events in the game that are randomnly generated depending of the stage of the game, so yeah, we could have balanced it better :).

Sometimes melodies didn't play because we made the limit on the maximum music you can play at 2 instruments... maybe we should have made it so you can play all?

Thank you again for commenting :)

The mechanics were quite confusing and I had to go through a bit of trial and error followed by a few restarts to get the hang of it. It would be much easier to understand if the buttons in game came with labels and if there was an objective statement to make the purpose of the game clear.

The music in the game was pretty cool and i quite enjoyed the feeling of making my own ancient orchestra.

The aesthetic of the game fit the theme quite well and i quite liked the tribe members. However the game was quite blurry when blown up to full screen i had to take it down to windowed as small as it would go.

Great game, i had fun.

keln 2016-08-30 20:39

@metalhaze We detected that the blurry thing was a problem associated with graphic settins in Unity, we ran the game at full screen with 1920x1080 withouth problems (as seen in the captures9.

Thank you for the feedback!

Loved the dancing tribe animations and some funky tunes in there too ;)

Just a bit hard to understand the concept and it took me until my second play to realise the icons within the game corresponded to the ones listed in the menu (I feel like the type of person you need to idiot-proof things for). Perhaps it was because it was full screened for me and it was hard to tell what was what.

So loved the design and the music, just very confusing. Good idea though :)

amazing game , i love pixel art :D

rttstudio 2016-08-30 21:34

Really fun and interesting game, but some things seem backward, my tribe got terrified by a storm and got +17 moral but when they invent the spear they lose 8?

colozz 2016-08-30 22:11

Took a few minutes to understand what was going on, afterwhat it was great fun!
When something's happening, just sing and dance and all the tribe's happy :)
Good game ;)

simple_blue 2016-08-30 23:07

i gave the game a solid 10 minutes, and i did not understand it at all. i saw there was some rage, fear, etc, but the game did not explain itself at all...

all though, GREAT ART! love the pixle, and great sounds and music. the game looked, and felt good, it just didnt explain itself.

ursi-games 2016-08-30 23:55

I wasn't sure what should I click, but after some time i started understanding game :) I like your pixel arts and game idea! It's very addictive and entertaining - I played for about 15 minutes. In my opinion it can be perfect casual mobile game :)

Its hard to understant how play this game, but the visual its really good and the music is so atmosferic !

bendev 2016-08-31 03:01

Nice concept. The instrument labels really should be ingame like everyone said. I think more combinations would make it more interesting. I would put the singing everytime!

keln 2016-08-31 06:48

Thank you all! We take all points considered for future games, I have no excuse for not have made the game better explained, sorry about that :D

fabsy 2016-08-31 21:32

This was interesting and I think I got it, but I have a 5 second memory so I had to restart some times to keep up :P I guess that's part of the challenge!

cirrial 2016-09-19 17:31

I really liked the idea of the game but as everyone else has said, a little reminder of the instruments in some way would have been nice.
