Personally, I can't run it with Wine.

I'm on Archlinux.

Cool game! But the jumping could have been quicker

fork0 2017-07-31 12:11

Too hard for me :D But it's a really nice game. Surely the jumping could have been less floaty.

stormforce02 2017-07-31 12:20

Sorry for just repeating what other people have said, but I agree that the jumping could have been faster. It made it really hard sometimes to get to the next screen when it takes forever to get from platform. I really like the colors of the game, it feels very retro Mario. All in all, nothing really groundbreaking being done with this game.

Hey there, I just played your game and I really liked it ! * The jump is slow, yes, but it allows to think more about where to go etc, it didn't really bother me * The music was awesome, it gave a really good atmosphere to the game and is one of the main reason I kept playing haha * There is an "exploit" if you keep pressing spawce you can't die from the enemy, so I kept focusing on climbing, kept near a battery, pressed space until they died, took the battery and went back climbing haha * The sounds are cool, sounds like SFXR, but i might be wrong. * I love playing your game, nice entry man ! For next time, please add a splashscreen so we can prepare to play, and why not a pause button so my coffee doesn't wait for me haha

Thanks a lot, be proud ! :D

Very good entry! The music is especially nice. The exendo-arm punch attack kinda does some weird stuff, but it's not a deal-breaker. I think the floaty jump was the right decision for this game but I would like to have had a faster movement speed. Kinda feels like wading through molasses.

I like the style of this and the audio. Also the scrolling screen reminded me of Bubble Bobble and I love that style of game. Nicely done.

A damage on the indicator when punching the drones would have been nice... took me a while to realize I needed to destroy them, I thought the punch was just a knockback ability so I could escape (which I thought was cool too). Overall nice game!

I didn't mind the floaty jump compared to other people, but as you pointed it out, it felt a bit repetitive in the end ! I played until I had something like 30k score and failed, but it caught my attention !

Nice game! The movement of the character could be a little bit faster. But i liked the graphics and the transitions between the levels are well made. Good job! :)

"No level,...Nooooo Don't move up!" :D it's what I've been screaming for a while!

I loved the game idea, the way you kill those bots, the art style, the 8-bitish music. I only disliked the gravity feel for the robot move.

Also, i would recommend keep the screen edges as a safe zone, it made no sense for me to die, just for the sake of going left of right. It might be a plush mechanic if you allow for left<->right thing like PacMan.

Really nice game, but steering is a bit floaty. Fun idea of attacking enemy with robotic arm. Good Job!

gildar76 2017-08-07 23:24

Nice game, I don't mind the floaty movement except when I can't jump fast enough :)

Nice music and audio as well.

What I liked:

-The sounds were cool -The gameplay loop was simple and fun -The art and characters were nicely done

What I didn't like:

-The attack animation seemed to separate the striking arm from the rest of the character -Having to hold the directional button to attack, as the character doesn't face in the direction I leave him facing.

Altogether the game was fun and hit the target. I enjoyed it! Thanks!
