Really pleasing game to look at and play, mac exe version is working btw. You should map the wasd key to movement too because it's weird to be using directionnal key and the mouse at the same time.

The visual is what is the most interesting to me in this game, job well done.

jole 2018-08-13 08:25

@anstabo Thanks! I suppose you are playing on a laptop, did not think about that. Will update the input.

colestia 2018-08-13 08:30

Nicely done! I actually found the combination of the music and the slow-moving trash pretty soothing.

jet-jones 2018-08-13 08:43

Really great game, music fits perfectly and that curved CRT like screen is a nice touch.

deformhead 2018-08-13 08:49

Beautiful screen effect, love the art...

falk-bruskeland 2018-08-13 09:42

Good music and nice looking shader. 10/10 :P

sdrrv 2018-08-13 10:04

At the moment a cant download it but i am really looking forward to try it!

jole 2018-08-13 10:07

@sdrrv is that on my side or are you without an internet connecting etc?

ravenflame 2018-08-13 10:38

Love it, made me feel like a kid in an arcade. Visuals are amazing, sound is good, interactions were a little tricky but you get used to them.

jole 2018-08-13 11:34

@ravenflame @deformhead @falk-bruskeland @colestia @anstabo Thank you for all the kind words! Also @ravenflame i regret doing the controls this way but its too late now!

dark-roast-studios 2018-08-13 12:19

nice, chilled out space game :) good job!

fryderider 2018-08-13 12:23

Cool game! Love the CRT effect.

Good job! :)

triplefox 2018-08-13 12:40

I like this idea! I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong because it seems like it bombs me with more pieces than I can handle in a short period of time. (but also, I started playing it on my trackpad which means I can't be doing any fancy mouse-slinging)

It might make for more interesting gameplay if some of them didn't just fall to the surface but instead orbited a while at a certain level, breaking off gradually. This is basically like a shooter game in sprit, and with those it's always about finding cool AI behaviors that are just predictable enough to plan around, but still varied.

conorod 2018-08-13 12:48

Lovely visual style and that music is just glorious... Also a really fun game, with just one problem - using the mouse is very, very difficult given the size of the boxes you need to click on. I feel the game would be greatly improved if you could select what to do with the litter via the keyboard (for example, move with WASD, and either up or down on the directional keys to select an option).

hakro 2018-08-13 12:51

Wow, I'm really impressed by the graphics. Brilliant. I'm curious how you did that in godot, I'll have a look :)

The ambiant music is cool too. Nicely done mate !

jole 2018-08-13 13:04

@hakro That took me way too long to implement!

@conorod I will do that next time!

@triplefox Yeah it was not quite balanced if you would like to say that. You can use the parts to make the junk go back to space for a while though.

@dark-roast-studios, @fryderider and everyone else, thanks for playing

coltron 2018-08-13 14:19

Really cool idea! I dig the concept, choice of music and the controls. Very difficult too! Agreed the WASD would be nice. And maybe a key to activate item rather than the mouse. Overall, well done!

andy-d 2018-08-13 14:42

Lovely graphics and music! The beep sound effect is a bit jarring, though. The feel of the controls is so nice, drifting around the planet  It crashed for me on Mac - I was just clicking at random and the whole app shut down - but it was fun while it lasted.

craigmc08 2018-08-13 14:56

The ambient music really gives a mood of relaxed and the theme of space. Good job with that. I like the style, the 2 color scheme goes well with the music. And that screen effect is quite cool. Controls feel good. The inability to see around the planet bothered me at first, but I got used to frequently circling around to check.

Weirdly, the menu at the end gets a little slanted if your moving, and the effect is more noticeable the faster you are going. This isn't really a "game-breaking" bug though.

Overall, good job with this!

whismirk 2018-08-13 15:05

It really is beautiful. I love the art style ! The music is quite relaxing too. Definitively a good experience. I wonder... how did you make the "screen" effect with Godot ? :D

rs11s21n 2018-08-13 15:12

cool art style but i get eror -_-

jole 2018-08-13 15:48

@rs11s21n What is the error? And what platform are you on?

jole 2018-08-13 15:49

@whismirk Yes its my own shader for godot.

jole 2018-08-13 15:53

@whismirk Sorry i misread you comment. I "move" each pixel proportional to its distance from the center. You can look at the source code if you want more a more detailed explanation.

omniorcus 2018-08-13 16:01

That art style really fits the game, and pairs well with the audio. Controls are a bit confusing, and the keyboard movement combined with the on-screen buttons feels odd. Not bad, just odd. A nice piece overall, with a nice amount of polish.

rs11s21n 2018-08-13 16:40

@jole windows i not remember i close it too fast. i think it's simple fall (it happend when i try take thing i think)

meldrian 2018-08-13 19:54

I like the style and the idea, it got it's potential. The sound's a bit sluggy but besides that it's a solid one.

jon-nova 2018-08-14 03:08

Nice game! I think you should use keyboard keys for salvage and explode. but it's still a realy nice game.

kornel 2018-08-14 09:10

Very lovely visual style and game mood

2018-09-03 11:25

Nice style! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/KKcNeeBfE6w
