Very fun game. It could be a cool game for your phone, too, in my opinion!

Very fun game. It could be a cool game for your phone, too, in my opinion!
WOW! Thats fun! 258 was my best. Some more finalized graphics, some sound effects and maybe some varying enemies and it could be something I'd pay for! Well done!
Hilarious mechanic! Great Job! :D
a fun monment =)
It's a fun and unique game! Sometimes the enemies just get under your feet and you can't hit them. Also, the jetpack controls are a little finicky but I guess that's the point.
A great lesson in what you can do in Unity. The minimalistic use of simple geometry actually works better than many games importing complex assets. It's also quite a bit of fun.
~~Looks cool but there doesn't seem to be a download link on the itch.io page?~~ Seems to be fixed now.
It was even cooler than it looked! Too bad you didn't have time to add sound effects. They would have given the action even more oomph (not like it really needed it). One of my favourites to far.
Now I'm gonna go try few more times, almost broke 1k...
@antti-haavikko thanks so much! High praises indeed! Yeah sorry I found one bug I could fix without changing anything substantial so I re-uploaded :) I really would have liked a bigger variety and complexity in enemies, these guys are really rudimentary :P
I haven't even gotten to 1k myself! Challenge accepted! :D
Yay, success!

Very fun difficult to control smash-stuff game! I really liked that time slowed down during targeting, that mechanic always makes targeting so much more fun. I also liked watching the giant robot (was it supposed to look a bit like a battery?) trip over the tanks that I missed.
The targeting seemed a bit off on some of the swings (particularly downward), making it difficult to hit the enemies, unless I aimed in front of them. This added to the general feel of a difficult to control robot, so could be a good thing. You could try out different targeting display though (something like showing the arc of the arm instead of a straight line). The other thing I noticed that may have benefited from a bit more time was grabbing the nodes. That's a bit trickier to fix though (I guess a gamepad could enumerate the part to specific buttons for a console release).
Overall I found this game very enjoyable, thanks for making it!
High Score: **665**
@hitchh1k3r hey thanks! I totally agree, I couldn't get the arms to target more precisely, mostly because the whole system is a big mess of joints - what is there now is already tweaked after many different iterations... The first one was worse :P Right now it's applying a constant force over some time whereas originally it just shot out with one burst of force. Which you would *think* would have done it but we're not all engineers :P
The downward I've found to be the easiest though, the tanks by my feet are easy pickings :P But sometimes I do miss and eat a shot to the nuts which ups the challenge factor :P
Originally the game was conceived as a touch game, so tablets and such. That it's playable with a mouse is hilarious :P I never thought about gamepad, though yeah it probably would work too! Just add a modifier for the jetpack :)
Thanks for playing! :D
Very fun mechanics!
This was a really cool control mechanic! The music was great, felt like it could have done with some sound effects to make those punches extra satisfying, as satisfying as they were. Really liked how the information was presented in-game as you go as opposed to an explainer screen beforehand.
This would be super fun as a mobile game what with the swipe controls and everything, I could easily get addicted to it
It's really fun! It looks great too. It isn't easy to control and the lack of sound is a bit strange for that amount of action. But port it to mobile, add sound, polish the details, and you'll have something really cool on the market. Congrats!
I love this game! It's really cool. I think that you should give my game another try with enabling the trajectory-prediction system with right-click. :)
The physics system is really interesting.
Very addictive game, I enjoyed playing it a lot. I agree with others that this game seems perfectly suited for mobile. With a little polish you could have something quite fun.
Damn that's a really fun game. would be great on mobile.
The game works in Linux via wine. There's something special with the robot; how it walks, punches and flies, that makes the game somehow feel... right.
If I were to look for constructive criticism; I like the slow-motion when choosing the direction to punch, but I sometimes found I selected too early (more often than not because the one I wanted to punch is now behind me, so I go for the next one), so I waited for the time to be just right (after all you can stay in slow-mo as much as you want). But then I spent too much time at extremely slow speeds, which disrupted the pace of the game a bit.
Having said that, I find the game very well designed simplicity-wise and fun-wise, and I'm amazed at how you managed to keep the robot on foot as it launches punches everywhere and stumbles on tanks. Great work!
@agecaf thanks muchly! :D And thanks for the info about Wine :)
Regarding the slow-mo UI, if you let go while the line is inside the circle, it won't punch. Only when the line turns red would a punch be launched, so you can return to normal time without punching if you want :)
The robot is a complete hack, it's not actually technically standing up on its legs :P It's so hacky! Thanks! Really appreciated! :D
WOW!!!!
That Was the Best LD39 Game I've Played So Far, I Love The Use Of Physics And Animations And Keep On Creating!!!!!!!!
Fun, the crazy flailing of the robot somehow gives it a lot of character even with the primitive shapes. Great concept and I also really like the slow down to control mechanic, all had a pretty good if chaotic feel. If you could control the feet to kick stuff that would be pretty cool. Or maybe a slow down so you could set multiple limbs with targets in one go and then let him off to see what kind of crazy acrobatics he can do.
A Very fun game, I really enjoy play it ! The only problem for me is sometimes we feel like robot's physics has some difficulties to move forwards and it disturbed the rhythm of the game.
But a very good game. One of the best for me so far ! Congratulations !
This is a very fun game! Everything just works, from the idea over mechanics to graphics.
The only thing I was missing is some auditive feedback for the destruction. Music is nice and all, but that would have made it even more fun and probably a complete game in my eyes. :)
Loved it! It felt like a mix of Rampage and SUPERHOT. Once you got ahold of the mechanic it was quite fluid. I liked the graphics a lot even if they were simple, they were really clean. I don't have anything I disliked, well done!
@peaupote I do agree on the robot slowing down thing - the physics kinda just worked out that way, I should have manually gone in and tweaked it to just stop if it were ever not going slow. But there wasn't time!
Thanks for playing! :D
Loved the game. It was super fun to play. Good job
Pretty nice game :) I love seeing stuff get destroyed haha. I would like it to be easier to control though, Just can't seem to hit anything xD.
Really fun and satisfying to punch down the little buildings. This is a really great game, and i think it would make a good mobile game too! My only criticism is that it is a bit hard!!
The control scheme of the punch and jetpacks is awesome, it is so ergonomic that it would work perfectly on mobile devices O.O
The machanic is really great and innovative! It's a lot of fun playing this game and the visual elements of it are so simple yet it looks really great. Keep it up!
Drunk Punching mechanics are great indeed, would be nice if there was some kind of EndBOSS, like another giant monster/Robot thing, or what about multiplayer ? anywayz great game for 48 hours..
Nice entry! The controls are surprisingly functional, and the robot animations are great. It needs more polish especially on graphics and audio. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the "behind the scenes" about the physics!
Realt cool! But placing Score near with energy progress not good idea. Or they connected?
@pavelsovushkin Yeah the distance there isn't ideal, I should have placed it in another corner. Mainly I just didn't want the UI to be too "loud" so I put them all together. Maybe I'll do a minor update :)
So addictive !
Really fun entry! The animation of the guy is very smooth, and he really feels weighty. Great work! Nice background track as well.
What a funny game. I like it!!! Please play, rate and comment our game aswell: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/disaster-on-nebula-one
Controlling drunk mech-boxer is really satisfying, it is just a ton of fun to go on smashing rampage and see everything around get launched in the air. I will make sure to read your post about physics, it will sure be handy in the future. Graphics are minimalistic but really clear and just match the games tone. In overall really good game and is entertaining to play.
Grab a mechanic and go nuts with it. I love this kind of games <3
The limited drag points were a really good idea to control the robot, its somehow feels really intuitive. Although someone can ask for more types of enemies or even additional areas, the flying tanks were a nice touch to keep the monotony out of the game.
P.D: My best run was 634, I think.
I definitely wanted to add more types of enemies, and waves and such. truth be told I only stopped tweaking the robot's physics and started on making it into a game in the last couple of hours, so that was pretty rushed :P
Wow I haven't see the Toribash mechanics really implemented into another game but here it is. The gamefeel is surprisingly good and you must've put a decent amount of work into not making the robot just fall over all the time. I really liked the slowdown on hold mechanic, even just the visual portion. Neat, one of the more original ideas this LD!
I instantly thought of Toribash, just as @PeachTreeOath did.
Innovative and fun gameplay. I think you have something on your hands here. You should try to implement this mechanic into different games and you'll have some pretty fun games I think.
I'm amazed by the robot's movement! How you managed to make it so controllable and still have the "drunken" characteristics.
Thanks for the great experience you gave me. Have a good one!

Pure fun. It's simple, but very clean visually and mechanically---I think this kind of makes it more fun? Like when you try to punch backwards and fail or see a spinning tank it just feels like such goofy fun, like something Arcane Kids might make. I really liked this.
This is fantastic. I love the clumsy physics—being a giant city-destroying robot has never felt so whimsical. Great work!
384 for my first try! The gameplay is fun and easy to handle, robot's animations are crazy but works like a charm with controls. Great job!
Awesome job! I can imagine this would be extra fun on a touch screen, but even with the mouse, everything felt natural. I love silly physics based games, so I hope you continue on with this post jam - it also seems like it could be popular with streamers with an added coat of polish :)
