That's some AAA stuff right there. The game crashed when I was about to reboot OLEC but up to that point it was really neat. I couldn't find anything I didn't like about this game, except that it teased my by almost letting me reboot OLEC but then crashed right before it.

amastryukov 2020-04-21 17:40

@souperstrawer The crash issue is unfortunate, could you give some more details of what you did right before it crashed? I would love to iron that out before more people experience it. Thank you for playing it!

souperstrawer 2020-04-21 17:52

@AMastryukov I was running it on Linux through Wine, might be specific to that. The crash happened twice when i went near the computer in the OLEC control room.

amastryukov 2020-04-21 18:00

@souperstrawer I should have remembered you used Linux... that could be the issue. Sadly I can't compile a Linux build at the moment so running it through Wine might be the only option for Linux users. I'll play and rate your game soon, I just need to iron out any big issues and get my affairs in order after the jam.

Wow, It scares me a bit. Nice game!

mat-mox 2020-04-21 23:25

Impressive entry right here. Great level design, but I had to guess how to play and it was not pleasant. The story behind this is sooo cool, I'm feeling some Portal vibes. Great job 💪

fabula-rasa 2020-04-21 23:26

Wow! Very cool! Great atmosphere and nice voiceovers as well :). very enjoyable to play. Didn't run into any crashes or issues really. However, I do think that the custodian could be walking somewhat faster.

Overall, a great job!

watswat5 2020-04-21 23:40

How do I climb in the air vent? I can't jump or crouch jump in.

revetoon 2020-04-21 23:48

Really pretty game with a lot of attentions to details. The story is well written and surprised me, unfortunalty I got stuck right before rebooting OLEC. The voicing adds a lot to the narrative ! Great entry overall, loved it :)

watswat5 2020-04-21 23:52

Figured it out! I was afraid to go into all the plants with the poison gas everywhere, especially when crouch-jump is a really common fps mechanic. Good looking game, good voice-over, the custodian is a little slow.

wheybags 2020-04-21 23:54

- Atmosphere 10/10 - I absolutely love the slavic glados :D - Wasn't clear I should use right click to pick up the wheel. I left click-jiggled it around for a while before I got it. - It took me waaaay too long to figure out where to go when I got trapped in the greenhouse. The quick camera pan to it didn't tip me off. - Movement speed is a bit low. I would use the sprint speed as normal, and just not include a sprint mechanic.

Overall, one of the best games I've tied so far. Well done!

big-evil-corporation 2020-04-21 23:54

Excellent, excellent work! Great ideas, very well polished, looks more like a prototype for a AAA game rather than a jam entry! I loved Russian GlaDOS.

Took me a while to figure out the very last puzzle. USB drives don't go in those machines ;)

amastryukov 2020-04-22 00:58

We heard your suggestions and we will increase the default speed of the player. I completely forgot that the walking speed was so slow because I always sprinted when testing.

@revetoon to beat the reboot puzzle, you must get access to the server room by finding all of the fuses and placing them in the fuse box. Then, get the USB on the table and insert it into the computer in the same room and download the reboot commands. Take the USB to the computer in the new chamber overlooking the server room. Press buttons in a way that disables all servers (red light at the bottom of all). Once that is done, enter the password. The server rack aisle labels should give you a clue as to where to go to look for the code.

@big-evil-corporation haha, yes. The final computer is actually a repurposed VHS tape reader included in the framework we used to get started. Not sure why it was used instead of the other computer model. I'll ask my teammate about that.

neuronezero 2020-04-23 18:43

Good work ! Portal comes to mind, or the Stanley parabole. Puzzles are basic, but the AI voice makes them way more interesting.

artist-hidihojoe 2020-04-24 11:02

a really nice game! thx for that!

karenin-dmitry 2020-04-24 16:51

I'm honestly tried to play, but FPS was really low on my laptop :( But looks like in this game good level design, as i could see in the first minutes of game

legavroche 2020-04-24 23:08

Awesome entry with really good set pieces. I got GLADOS vibes from OLEC. The only issue I had was that the ending part kinda confused me at first. Not sure if I might've missed an instruction log that said to disable the 4 server racks. If so, then disregard that comment, but if not, I think I would've like to have some instruction for that in the logs. Great entry, and I hope you guys expand upon it further!

amastryukov 2020-04-25 00:55

@legavroche Thank you for playing and for your feedback! We will review the instructions (in the quest log) for that part and clarify it further. I can definitely see that it might be overwhelming right off the bat to have so many requirements to disable OLEC. Our goal was to provide a challenging experience that combines elements of all previous puzzles while adding some extra spice.

maus3rsr 2020-04-25 16:45

Really impressive the amount of micro game loops and assets etc... you put in. I was not so much lost. One bug I think I got (but it was maybe a missclick from myself) is that I lost the USB Key from the computer and it was on the ground between table and wall lol. But it was maybe me.

Love OLEC's voice, and the trolling about feeding plants with water, hahaha

A great work really it was fun to play with :-)

nathalia-hohl 2020-04-25 20:55

Great atmosphere! I confess I had a heck of a hrd time with the puzzles and part of the reason (besides myself) was that the game was running slow. Piling up that boxes was a nightmare.

morriekken 2020-05-01 15:44

Nice game but it took me laptop down to it's knees :) I needed to go to 800x600. I got to the point where I placed the cube under air vent and tried to jump on the cube. Then the cube begins to behave and I really mean BEHAVE. First it got stuck to the valve, then it was jumping from under me when I tried to jump on it. Well, I thought this cube clearly doesn't like to be jumped on I left it alone and I doze off inhaling gas while looking at my new and last companion cube.

amastryukov 2020-05-01 16:41

@morriekken Yes, the game has heavy performance requirements that can be troublesome for laptops. The cube physics aren't very polished and do require some careful handling.

jmad 2020-05-09 12:07

Loved it!! Am such a big fan of this genre. Big Portal and Stanley Parable vibes. Beautifully executed. Really enjoyed the story, and attention to details. The cubes in the maze hiding the flashlight made it a bit tricky, even if doable.
