Nice :D
As you mentioned, it feels unfinished. The challenge in this game is too easy. What you have, though, works well. I just wish it had more content.
Idea is good, but yeah, feels unfinished, try to get the job done!
Web version returns 403 =(
"You don't have permission to access /projects/LD35/web/ on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
good one! time slips away while playing!
tutorial would be nice...
maybe more information like "direction from where the formation is most vunerable" or "upcoming attacks" or "chances to win battle in%".
clouds should move&rotate&fade, formation with 4 units left are not aligned...
Great work!!!
Hard, and fun. Not much content, and hard to get used to (controls and mechanics), but I enjoyed learning the rules and how to destroy the enemy army! Nice work :)
Very innovative concept. With a little bit of polish the game could be really great. For instance, if you made the shift take a second and indicate which shape will come up next it would give more strategic depth.
It would be neat if you had a clearer indication of which shapes win against which other shapes.
A technical note: The Unity Web player went to 100% and then took its sweet time finishing the rest of the download, so it seemed like it was stuck. Manual download confirmed that this might in part be due to a slow server connection.
Thank you all for your feedback so far.
@Cerno_b I appologize for the slow server connection. I'm hosting within my country, South Africa.
Cool idea, but needs polish and maybe change controls
Very cool, short, fun. Innovative!
I like the idea a lot, but it's hard to fully judge when it's half finished. I'd like to see it have some mechanics involving attacking from certain directions or multiple armies or something more than just rock/paper/scissors with different names.
It's a good idea for game. But it needs more levels.
Cool idea, it feels really promising
I think the player (and the enemies) should not be able to switch formations at any time, because when running into an enemy, he could switch instantly and when the AI is very good or the enemies are controlled by another player, winning or losing is decided by sheer luck.
So I would recommend to implement a cooldown on the formation switch and maybe add more players or add walls to the map in order to make it more packed.
I feel like there should be more basic combat mechanics so you can see *why* the wedge formation defeats the lines.
Interesting entry, pretty cool! Some changes on the control can improve this game a lot ;)
I like the dots switch to different formations, it's really cool!
Interesting concept you've tried here. As is, the gameplay is not so challenging. Would like to see this explored further.
