The mouse control can be a bit frustrating to some first-time players, but I rate this 8/10.

Nice job. I think the Y axis of the mouse control is inverted, maybe you could add an option for that.

The mouse inversion is not convenient. What did I find on the level? 👀

@glitchman You found your username, kind of :eyes: (You can pick it up)

Nice entry. I am not sure I understood what I was doing though ;) I stopped playing after a few layers of digging and collecting hearts. Is there an end I could have reached? As others mentioned, the inverted mouse controls threw me off a bit. Still, good job!

THe control is a littl tricky but the over all experience is good for me.I enjoy my experience digging around. Nice Game!

This is a cute little game and it has a very pleasing color palette! I think you were going for relaxation, and it would have worked if it weren't for these camera controls. Use a negative mouse y for standard controls with the kind of setup you're using. I also can't tell if you're using a camera mount setup or not (camera goes in a nested object and you use that for up/down look, but the main object for left/right look). There's something funky going on when looking at your feet. I also got the glitch and was amused by the achievement! I couldn't find a way to progress from there, though. I would have continued to play the main game but the sensitivity and the inverted camera wasn't working for my brain and I started to get a headache!

@kristof You can discover secrets between levels and yes, you can get an ending after 4 layers of digging. The game is about 10 minutes of gameplay which I know is waaaaay too much for a jam game, thank you for playing nonetheless

@incobalt Thank you for the feedback. I just uploaded a post LD Windows version after all the comments telling me about the up/down inverted camera movement (I got used to it in development and forgot to change it after 1 or 2 hours into coding). I'm not using a camera mount setup sadly, only the main camera object, this was pretty much my first try with a first person game. Also, you can't progress from the glitch level, is an intended softblock, I thought of it as a way to punish the player for wanting to test for invisible collisions. (I'm just weird)

Thank you all for playing and leaving feedback :)

Liked the game but inverse Y sensitivity is hell.

fadex 2021-04-29 00:27

So surreal. I reaally love the sound. Nice experience..

I am the beta tester lets go

Fits the theme pretty well. I can't offer a lot of feedback that others haven't already provided. I agree with the points on the Y axis. I know it's one of those things where people love or hate one or the other but for me it felt wrong. Making that configurable would go a long way for making the controls feel natural for everyone. I think adding some kind of visual clue about what to do in addition to the navigation arrow might be helpful. I wasn't entirely sure what I was supposed to be doing.

I really liked to color palette of this game. The sound design was also nice. Well done

michbet 2021-04-29 00:45

Camera is very sensitive and it took me a while to figure out what I was doing. The procedural generation is pretty neat and your game has an interesting mood to it.

well i unlocked the glitch and the hearts were floating up in the air, I also found the first person camera controls to be awful.
