The game is cool, I think the weapons are missing some punch. Killing the monster should be easy and fast, making the room quickly full of acid. I like the hotline miami style !

Really satisfying and really fun in general!
I got deadlocked in a corner by all of the monsters just when I rolled a really bad gun :sweat_smile: I kinda like the random aspect of the game this way. Super fun!
My final score was 8650 ^^ The game is really fun and I enjoyed how broken you could get after several waves ^^ With some of the guns especially, because they feel so different early and late game. I played more rounds than I needed to rate it, so its pretty good ^^ The only thing I would say detract a little bit is that I didnt really feel the "limited space" too much, ale the area was pretty spacey, but I guess it depends on how far you get wave-wise. Also while the music was cool and I liked it a lot, it could have been more action-y. Overall good job though ^^
The game was really fun and the gun feedback felt really good. The upgrades were a bit overwhelming and I couldn't dash for some reason. Great sound design, pretty fun overall. Very creative way of implementing the theme. Keep up the great work!

A solid version of a wave-based twin stick shooter but I think the theme was a little bit of an afterthought here.
I liked the variety in weapons and enemies and that every item is a risk-reward situation because you could grab it later when the acid is gone, but maybe you need it now (I actually got cornered not being able to grab items because of low health and enemies coming in too fast, which was interesting :smiley: ).
@bumble Hey thanks for playing! the idea for the theme is that the space gets more limited as the game progresses due to increasing numbers of enemies and acid pools. But yeah we kinda had the idea for the game before the theme was confirmed so we had to adapt it a little bit to fit the theme of limited space. Thank you for the feedback.
I really like the mechanic of putting power up inside the deadly acid, sometimes it's worth the damage!
Nicely done! guns feels really good. I like the vibe of this game. One tiny issue is that the text on the screen after I get items disappears real fast before I can read it. you can fix it easily. other than that I had a great time playing Acid!

This game rocks!! I absolutely love the music and the art. The animations and particle effects are really well done too. Its so satisfying to see the enemies explode when you kill them ahah. This game reminds me a lot of enter the gungeon, which is one of my favourite roguelikes. My best run got up to wave 6 with a high score of 2195 :smile:
One piece of feedback I have is to have some way to restore ammo. I like the mechanic of having to go get a new gun, but when I went go the middle I often got so swarmed that its impossible to survive.
Other than that though this game is great! Definitely one of the best games I've played this jam :v:

Suuuper fun game. Its so juicy.
Great game! Love that you need to think about where to kill enemies to not put you in a bad spot and be available to collect power ups later. It's a good test for the player's decision making.

The freeze frames when getting hit might be a bit overkilled, but apart from that it's a tense nice little game. Weapons have a cool game feel and it's hard not to keep playing. Congrats!

Nice game! Felt quite well balanced difficulty wise. Graphics, sound and music fit well together. I liked the bullet ricochet. Good job!
Enjoyed all the different weapon options and the mechanic with the acid the monsters leave behind. It was fun to play but I didn't really like how my character kept drifting after I would stop moving. Anyway still played for a good while because it was a good time~ thanks for the game!
@amberfall92 Thank you for feedback, the character drift sounds like a bug. There is a small amount of knockback when firing certain weapons which can keep the character moving without input on the movement keys.

@m0zrat Thanks for playing. You can get new weapons by going to the gun dispenser in the middle of the level and pressing 'E'.

This isn't my usual genre but I liked it! The big variety of drops is great. The guns are satisfying. The screen shake is cool. I just kept running out of ammo at inopportune times... I think part of the HUD was off-screen on my extra wide monitor.
785! Never figured out how to dash, and accidentally reset the game because I tried to Reload a couple of times :sweat_smile:
I liked how the bullets ricocheted a little, and the laser uzi was awesome.

I really enjoyed that, did a few games
The gamefeel, level design, creatures movement, gun specs & satisfaction is on point
Sometimes reseting is bugged with the camera being stuck in a corner
And the mechanic of spawning a gun then having to wait a few seconds for the gun to be usable introduces a lot of pressure - could be a good or a bad thing that one
It's far from the 1st game of that type I'll play during a Ludum Dare,
But that one works well and was really fun to play
