Very cool game and impressive visuals! It is rare that I see a UI this polished for a jam game. My only complaint is that the game crashed once while changing the audio setting, but i wont let that influence my scoring. I appreciate the linux build, by the way. I see far to few of those in jams.

Nice use of Godot for your project! The environment and design were really cool. One thing I would suggest is instead of changing planes with shift have it where the player can freely control their height by flying! I like the idea of going between too cold and too hot! Also I wasn't quite sure what the shooting did as it seemed like I was never able to hit anything.

Game with unic design! I also didn't really understand what shooting does, but it still was fun to play, especially shifting between 2 environments

pierogo 2022-10-05 15:28

@ugghmaster Thanks! The game was made on three Linux PCs so let's say a tux build was a high priority for us :cat:

pierogo 2022-10-05 15:33

@aderpychickenstudios @limoncello Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, we've initially planned for shooting at things to be a much bigger thing in the game (as you can see from the not very useful crosshairs), but we overdid it a little bit with the overall scope and had to cut some corners

Really cool game! It was fun and the game feel was awesome. Good job!

Cool lookin' environment and multitrack BGM. I got 4 million points! I was getting a little bit of lag whenever something happened for the first time: shooting, getting shot at at, switching planes. It stopped after the first seconds and wasn't that big a deal. Wonder if that's a Godot thing?

lisek-gagatek 2022-10-06 19:12

@caeonosphere Well, sort of. I guess it's particle systems loading for the first time. Have we had a bit more time, we could have spawned each effect once during loading (or maybe found a proper solution). Should be easily fixable for project that can be developed for longer :D

Music and Artstyle are really great, also menus look super clean! The Wall your flying through communicates the switch of the state pretty well. The flying text with the type of modifiers was a bit hard to read, because it ran pretty fast. Overall super strong entry!

Cool game, great amosphere and look! A bit weird to target something and was confusing at first at what should I shoot at but then I got the enemy. Great music too! Nice job!

P.S. Got one crash when exit, maybe you can look into

Really awesome space shooter game. By the way there are a few things that bother me - the movement sometimes feels weird at first because of an instant stopping when hitting the invisible wall - could be nice if there's a clear hit feedback

Other than that, this is an amazing entry that's really worth a try!

I really loved the visuals for this game, not only the designs and scenery but the animations as well! I loved how the flying around looked and felt, and once I got a handle on switching between high and low flight, I had a good amount of fun trying to stay alive. Good work!

maximbegunov 2022-10-10 15:10

Solid endless runner. I like the color palette of the game and the fancy animations. I also like how the music changes when move you up/down. Pretty hard to see what im shooting though. Maybe bigger bullets and some changes to the aiming system would help. Flying felt good.

real-flamingicecubegames 2022-10-10 16:30

Awesome game. I think this might be the most polished game I've run into so far. I don't really know if I have anything bad so say about it. I guess there needs to be more visual feedback with the bullets? Great entry overall.

sleepystudios 2022-10-15 13:22

The music was absolutely on-point! I liked the way the ship moved and how the targeting sort of worked but the controls were a bit unresponsive for me so it was hard to puill off good dodges sometimes (maybe a bug?). Overall though nice work!

This is really well polished and the music fits the game really nicely. Great job!
