Absolutely love the glitchy theme and it was really fun to play!
I love the graphics! They really fit in with the theme "unstable". 9/10 great game!
super fun and engaging, which is really cool considering how simple the game at its core actually is
the glitch effects look nice and compliment the mood/atmosphere of the game very well; the music does this too and is a banger on top of that
The game looks great. The graphics are simple, but the visual effects make it incredible. The game lacks some kind of goal, but it still feels quite dynamic and good.
Good graphics, gameplay not so much (sorry). Felt invulnerable and jumping was too quick. Ran through everything until I got back to the beginning without using right-click parry once. Guess I should have used that while falling but I just dodged the projectiles instead. Nice to see that the enemies lead the target when they shoot!
I really enjoyed this game however, the jumping needs to be made slower. As the jumping is right now, I almost got motion sick playing this. If the presentation wasn't as good, I might've stopped playing. Amazing visuals.
This looks amazing, and is really fun to play. Echoing what some others have said, the jump is kind of insane but works well enough. I was also impressed with the amount of gameplay variance even in a jam entry - the tunnel sequence is cool, and the level had a nice exploratory run to it!
That's one of my favorites so far. It looks amazing, music and sounds are cool, too. I love the pace, it really sets the mood. Usually I suck at such games, but here I could successfully beat several levels and get "welcome back" screen. I guess that the goal is to find a "true" exit, but I quickly got lost :) Overall, fantastic entry, well done!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Glad that it seems people are enjoying the experience overall, even if it's carried a little by the graphical effects.
Completely agreed about the jump speed, @lakrits @real-flamingicecubegames @tigerfinch . I must have got too used to the physics during development, but playing it back now it's pretty ridiculous. Also a shame it felt too easy, have been burnt by making games too hard before, but clearly tuned it too far the other way this time.
@bootak Glad you enjoyed it! Don't worry, the game is meant to be a "hell loop" of sorts, so there's no exit beyond looping to the start.
This game has huge mood with the audio and is the first I've played to have some stereo effect. The only thing it's missing is some relief from the tension (gameplay and music).
I would have liked to experiment more with the reflect ability since it's neat, maybe through different enemy fire patterns? I couldn't detect any feedback for when you can't block anymore. The heavy attack is super satisfying even if it's a little clunky with the wind up.
The enemies have great telegraphs with the sound and audio for their attacks.
I tried to do some sword based type combat in a game jam before and totally failed so congrats on making something interesting to play with and moody.
Good job on making the difficulty pretty forgiving. It's fairly easy to over tune during a jam (or.. any time)
This is a good one. The light effects looks awesome, the whole style of the game is really cool. Sound effects and music is nice and I love those falling part of levels as well as the AI trying to run away from me. Great job with the game!
I absolutely love the aesthetics of this game!!! However, it is sometimes hard to find people to fight.
