The gameplay was pretty good, but what really made this game great was the graphics and audio. The mood was on point. The torch placement was sometimes inconsistent though.

Great game! I think I avoided even touching the darkness as much as could as I had no idea what would happen. The atmosphere presented by the sounds in the background and whispering really gave it that much more of a creep factor. No idea how someone got over 100 points. Amazing game!
Wow, that was a great experience. It's well-balanced (great game design), polished, have cool audio desing, atmospheric. Haven't noticed any issues. I think this game can be scaled into something more, so I would like to see you develop this game further, if you would like. Thank you for the submission!
Very pleasant game ! The visuals and sounds are incredible, amazing job !
Pretty cool ! but somme time have bug and canont click on retry or menu when die
I really like the climate and would love to see this idea expanded upon
Hey!!! The game has a really nice ambiance! I love exploring dark rooms it reminds me of the house of leaves! Would love to see humongus dark rooms where i could feel even more lost!
@fnessa Thank you for your nice feedback! :)) We knew the torches placement wasn't on point, bud we unfortunately didn't have engouh time to fix that.
@mike-baldwin The darkness doesn't kill you instantly, you can stay in it for a short period of time. But I get you, I'm scared of it, even though I shouldn't be :D I think @Kita did a really good job with the audio, too! The 100+ points are of out team member @Barevnej, and I don't get how he got that far either :D Thank you for playing our game!
@maratg2 Thank you for your kind words! We see the potential, too, and I wish we had more time to pursue some new ideas.
@nebiros, @dotpoozer Thank you for playing our game and leaving feedback, we really appreciate it!
@akitl Thank you! We stumbled upon this too, but we don't know what caused it. But you can click many times on the same button and after some time, it will un-bug continue working.
@baptiste-lnq Hello, I have to say you are crazy to want more darkness in our game, but we like you are that kind of crazy :D What was your score? I'm curious if you beat my 17 points :D
@terylangosh Haha no i think i went on to around 5 or 7 points, I venture down to deep and the lights at the begining went out so i got trapped
I liked it a lot! Visually it was very interesting, I loved the look, i feel like the textures interacted perfectly with the complexity of the models, very beautiful and sets a great dark and broody mood that works wonders on a game centered around darkness. The gameplay itself is pretty fun, just gets repetitive a bit fast, i like the idea of pushing how far you can explore without knowing if you can make it back, all while having to collect more materials to make another trip forward when you get back, with a few added things it could really work on a deeper level, but as it stands, it's an incredible jam entry, really novel idea and very well made, felt really good to play. My only real criticism would be that i felt the camera was a bit too sensitive, wish there was a mouse sensibility slider adjustment or something, but that really is just me nitpicking, very well done all of you, looks like a great team all around!
I was thinking I could be clever and just drop torches as I needed them and got cocky... then realized I have to go back to the start to turn the sticks into torches and failed miserably. 👏 Nice job!
Very good! It is an incredible atmosphere and sound, they create a very immersive environment in conjunction with the art. I really see a lot of potential for the game to continue growing, well done! xD
I love the mood and atmosphere! Great job! I kept pushing my time without going back for more torches, so then I had to rush to get back. It made my heart pump! I also thought the voices in the darkness were great.
Awesome game. I never would've thought "arcade horror" would work so well. I'm "retro" on the leaderboards. I like the risk-reward gameplay that makes you think about how you spend your resources before returning. I feel like the only improvements that could be made is a compass and possibly more resources to use in crafting (stuff like higher-grade torches).
Absolutely incredible! Loved the atmosphere and the mechanics. Wish I had more sticks so that I could explore more. Anyways, enjoyed it a lot, great job.
Very fun game! As others have said the atmosphere really grabbed me. I think it stuck to the theme really well too and overall is an enjoyable game. The tutorial / main menu area was super helpful and enhanced the experience.
@vitor-milioni We really appreciate how much work you put into writing the feedback. I think it's safe to say it made our day :)). If we had more time there would be many things - settings included :D - we would like to add to our game. BTW, are you the one who got the really big score of like 170? :D
@coggoid Lol, I totally get that :D Thank you!
@emaigualmc2-art Thank you for your positive feedback, we are glad we succeeded at creating an interesting atmosphere :))
@real-flamingicecubegames We are really glad you liked our concept. Your position in the leaderboard is really high, wow :D! I was also thinking the compas could be great, because my sense of direction is like nonexistent and it would be helpful :)
@lisyarus, @kobylarz We are really glad you enjoyed playing our game, thank you for you kind feedback!
@terylangosh haha i wish! I'm Mili, as in my last name, got around 60 i believe
Realy cool! I love the atmosphere!
Nicely done! But I really hated the darkness lol
Hey, i had lots of fun playing the game, the atmosphere is super nice and dark, there was a section that made the game crash for me but i still had a great time, awesome job
Aaaand 1st Place! The game was very well made, I had loads of fun and really good run at that! The SFX and ambience was super duper great, the difficulty was well balanced. I guess if one would further develop this game, enemies would be a great addition, because then you could start to craft weapons and go on from there.
Good job!!
Wow, this was a lot of fun. I think my score was 60 something? I should've taken a screenshot, I had a really good run going. I think the hitboxes for the sticks should be a bit larger. It's a terrible feeling when you're struggling to pick up and object that you're standing on. The spooky voices were really well made, and I loved the 3D models of everything! Seriously great work!
Great Atmosphere and feel, Good job!
Collecting sticks in caves is more fun that I would have thought. The mood and music are great! Its fun managing the torch placement and leaving spare torhces to find your way back to crafting station. Great submission!
I enjoyed the audio design and overall mood. Picking up sticks was a little finicky at times - they probably needed a bigger hit box. I think my score was 88. Good enough to get halfway up the leaderboard at the time.
@askoed, @silverlybee, @supervoximus, @inappropriatename, @lvl99chicken Thank you for your positive feedback! :))
@sn4pi Wow, just wow. How many times did you have to try to get this big of a score? We are really pleased you like our game! Also the enemies are a really good idea. :)
@100th-coin We are so happy you found our game fun. I asked our server developper @Barevnej to send me a picture of all the highscores, so you can find yourself there :D. We know about the hitbox issue and wish we had fixed that. Thank you for your compliments!

@rojo Thank you for your feedback! You also got a really good score, too - congrats! :))
Most atmospheric game I have played so far! I can really see this jam game becoming a fully fledged game. Great core loop, sound design and original concept. It was easy to understand the rules, as a level designer myself, I must say that I really appreciate the onboarding scene. That was absolutely brilliantly done, no UI pop ups needed or long description to explain the game. Only thing is that the game didn't save my score when I died on the leaderboard :( But I think that is because I'm playing on a ultrawide monitor (great for atmosphere) but it was to be expected that some buttons would not show up on my screen. When I died I had to alt tab out of the game to close it. Other than that big thumbs up from me and I am curious to see if you can take this project to another level!
- edit: I think my score was just too bad to show up hahahaha, I think I got a score of 33 in my first playthrough
It's much better than many fully released games, so great job! We had a similar idea for this jam, you may as well check it out
If this were expanded upon a little and released on Steam I'd definitely get it.
Graphics, audio design and gameplay were all nice and coherent, and oh boy the gameplay - great idea!
Excellent execution of a simple gameloop. I had a really good time playing it, you even took the time to include a small tutorial. The wall texture and the claustrophobic atmosphere really took me back to those oldie dungeon crawlers. Great job!
Wow, amazing job! I loved how you presented the mechanics to the player at the beginning, fun and easy to understand. Lovely art, music and atmosphere. I think the game has a lot of future, hope you keep working on it! I really enjoyed the experience, I will definitely come back to try it more times!
Great concept and very well executed! I had a great time playing. I managed to climb the ingame scoreboard :)
I had fun playing this game. I really liked that you start out in a tutorial room instead of just being flung into the gameplay. It allowed me to get used to the controls. I also liked your low-poly graphics style, it really allowed the mood to come together. Only thing I might tweak is increasing the radius to pick up the sticks/crystals. I felt like the limited radius interrupted the flow of my gameplay. That's all. Overall, really good game!
Wow! What a wonderful and spooky game, I like it! You should be really quickly to make it back otherwise some strange voices eat you! Thanks for the game!
Excellent game, very well executed.
As others mentioned, the graphics and sounds make for a great mood and atmosphere. And the game is very polished too! The leaderboard is a very nice touch. Also I love the main menu.
The gameplay is well thought out and balanced. It's so simple but so effective. I'm just not sure if it would be fun for very long, I think there would have to be more stuff in order to keep it interesting. Maybe you could set up more checkpoints somehow by sacrificing some material (by checkpoint I mean a place which contains the crafting table and the box for crystals)? Maybe add some powerups - they could make the torches burn slower for example.
I have one possible bug report - sometimes I couldn't place torches nor pick up any items from the ground, as if something blocked my sight. I had to move and/or try again in order to perform the action that I wanted.
Overall, very nice game with a lot of potential.
Your tutorial inside the game is the best! I understand what should I do. 3d-games are wonderful! Good work!
