Incredibly polished game! Very astonishing result for a game jam :)

Wow! I am loving all the wholesome comments, thanks everyone! However, to avoid miscrediting of work, we didn't write/make the music. It is from a royalty free website, pixabay.com . The song is a version of Ragtime dance from Scott Joplin. Just so everyone knows ;) Again thanks for all the positive feedback!
Interesting idea of having to control the character and steer the ship at the same time. Reminded me a bit of Brothers a tale of two sons but in a very hectic and piraty manner :p
Most atmospheric game I have played so far! I can really see this jam game becoming a fully fledged game. Great core loop, sound design and original concept. It was easy to understand the rules, as a level designer myself, I must say that I really appreciate the onboarding scene. That was absolutely brilliantly done, no UI pop ups needed or long description to explain the game. Only thing is that the game didn't save my score when I died on the leaderboard :( But I think that is because I'm playing on a ultrawide monitor (great for atmosphere) but it was to be expected that some buttons would not show up on my screen. When I died I had to alt tab out of the game to close it. Other than that big thumbs up from me and I am curious to see if you can take this project to another level!
- edit: I think my score was just too bad to show up hahahaha, I think I got a score of 33 in my first playthrough
Nice concept! Also checking at the end to see that you actually accelerated the demise of the earth was confronting in a funny way. Also this game works on a ultra wide monitor which I never expected from a jam game :P
