well done! Cool art, sound, gameplay! wondering where you were about to put drinking here)) Such a sorry that it didn't count distance when i tried to swim forward without a ship, probably it would not be the best run bu funiest for sure) Best game I saw here so far, out of around 15 others. it a bit chalange to find the spot each time a wanted to recover, that where you can improve a bit. But I understand even that level of quality is an achivment on a jam time frame! Thanks, I got fun here !
Very cool design!
Everything is put together nicely. I would have liked the leaks to have a more visible indicator of where to stand to deal with them since it's hard to pinpoint the center of a leak if you're knee deep in water on the bow of the ship.
Interesting idea of having to control the character and steer the ship at the same time. Reminded me a bit of Brothers a tale of two sons but in a very hectic and piraty manner :p
Great design! Looks very cool, and feels coherent. Love the color. The hissing sound in the background was a little bit much over time. Between the moving of the ship and the WASD navigation/interaction it feels kind of like two games at the same time, which is a neat feat but a little hard to focus on for the player. Definitely captures the theme, with the rising water level. Well done!
AHHH I DROWNDED! I love me a good nautical game! I love the ship model you used. It wasn't quite clear what direction to swim at first, so that's my only feedback, some sort of indication which way to swim. Nice work!

matching music, but took me one..."swimming lesson" to figure out that I also have to move the ship.
Are the leak locations random or predefined?
@xparker they are spawned at a random spot on the decks

Loved it! ...and not just because of our similar ideas for this jam! I think playing with 2 players would be ideal because I can't split-brain to control the ship and character at the same time. That said, I really like how this plays and looks!
@jamjamix thas a neat idea! Didnt think about that.

I really liked the camera decision. I've seen several other similar ish games over the years doing LD and almost always they go for a first person camera and this is a cool change. Also, the stairs function perfectly which I cannot say for a lot of games (even fully produced games). The one thing I would love to see changed is the water. I feel like the water should really be moving past the ship to give a feel of movement. As it is right now, It doesn't really feel like the boat is moving forward.
Awesome game! Are you me? We made basically the same thing! hahaha. Great execution, absolutely love the music! Great job!!
@dirkinz yeah i definitely agree. It was a decision made early on to make sure things worked, but id like to see the water moving too.
@mike-baldwin for what its worth, i like your ship model better. Pretty Gaff-rigged ship!

Good style and graphics. The gameplay is good, but there are a few bugs.
i like that! fantastic ship model, nice animation. Breach sound so loud, but this is alert signal and it should be

Very fun game. I really enjoyed the graphics and how this simple concept was executed!
Interesting game! Feels odd to move your character and the boat at the same time, but I appreciate the originality
I had fun. Nice mood and implementation of the theme. Liked the art and sound.
I feel like the zoomed out view makes it a bit hard to judge where the source of some of the leaks are. It could help to place some broken wood or a hole at the source. The sinking animation when you've lost is a bit long. I think a retry/exit option should pop up as soon as you lost. It would also be cool if you could just hold E and you keep hauling buckets intead of having to repress E after each bucket.
Great game! I like your ship and idea! Unfortunately, I didn't understand why, with a perfect game, the ship is still filled with water. Thanks for making this game!
