Love the artstyle!!
Obviously threw away everything on the ship apart from the Lady and the safe while the music suited the situation.
This is fantastic! The art is so fun and charming and it immediately sets the mood. The concept is ridiculous and hilarious. I love the absurdity of picking up random items, and people, and YEETING it all over the edge as we plummet towards the ground.
The game was really hard, it took me six attempts or so before I got a success.
The fact that the newspaper at the end of the game reflects not just whether you landed the ship, but also what cargo & passengers you managed to save, is an excellent touch. This detail inspired me to play the game several more times after I first succeeded.
It's outrageously funny that cows and sheep just start landing on the crashing ship.
It would've been nice to have some more visual feedback with regards to how the ship is doing. I don't really have time to watch the numbers while I'm playing, so it's hard to gauge how effective my actions are. I would like to see the speed of the scrolling background, and the rain, to get slower as the ship gets slower.
I'd like to reiterate just how much I love the art. It's such a fantastic, distinctive style. I don't think I've seen a Ludum Dare game before with hand-drawn art in monochrome, but you nailed the crap out of that style. Have you made other games with art like this?
As mentioned above, art style is spot on. Love it! Congrats on a great looking game :-)
Simple but pretty funny and the art style is gorgeous
obviously the art style is fantastic, really well done here! You managed to merge the audio and the visuals perfectly together to fit that old-timey thing you were going for. Excellent mood as well, fit the gameplay nicely!
Was far too short for its own good. I managed to win after about 20 seconds and was a little confused about how. Played a second time and realized how the game worked that time.
I found that the super heavy items weren't much of an obstacle if I just spammed the jump button, so found this game insanely easy to beat.
Really solid entry overall!
@iamsodarncool, thanks for the lovely comment! Great comment on the visual feedback part as well :) Answering your last question, I did work on a short game called Reach (it's on ios and android) that has a similar art style.
This is hilarious! The art is absolutely gorgeous and the music is fun! I just think it's way too short, but overall it's a really great and fun game. Congrats!
Man, beautiful art style! a fun game, the setting you created is good! congratulations ;)
making me work hard to push the safe off... Shame.
Nothing short of amazing. I replayed it several times. It was easy to understand what to do, and the whole feel of the game was so great. Everything just fit together.
the art style and music of this game are just perfect, you guys did a great job on that, the gameplay is also fun and I love the attention to details like that funky bouncing ball lol
Just beautiful! The art, the music, the possibility to throw first two bags in tact with first two chords... truly a masterpiece.
Wow! I am loving all the wholesome comments, thanks everyone! However, to avoid miscrediting of work, we didn't write/make the music. It is from a royalty free website, pixabay.com . The song is a version of Ragtime dance from Scott Joplin. Just so everyone knows ;) Again thanks for all the positive feedback!
so, I started the game without reading the story first. I had no idea what to do, so I thought I should throw everything from the ship as fast as possible. Maybe throwing down the people was not very nice.. After some tries, I've even made it... "Nobody people died[...]" Great idea, well executed :)
A really solid game... Shame it's only 1 quick and simple loop. Could imagine making several levels with different gimmicks in it! Had a tons of fun and brought a smile to my face! Great job!
Damn, I hate that it's so short. The game is awesome, keep on making games, man! (make them longer)
Just WOW. the game art style is amazing, I'm surprised you made it in just 3 days
heey what a beautifull game! awesome!
fun!
One of my favorites so far!
As everyone already said, wonderful job with the art! I love running back and forth pushing down a massive pile of random stuff. Also, I didn't notice little Tommy for 2 or 3 runs, and seeing his name in the causalties I thought he was the dog. 😅
