LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Punch Bean and the Legend of the Gold Coins by mactinite 2022-04-14T03:11:51Z

Had a good time with this one! Impressive graphics, you managed to get 2 enemy types, collectables, and multiple abilities for your character (really liked the uppercut then smash down combo)

Had some serious issues with the controls though (on the gamepad) - there didn't seem to be any dead zone implemented, so whenever I even mildly touched the camera everything started spinning around wildly, so I had to ignore it.

Also, if you mash the attack button, you kinda get locked into a punching combo and have to wait it out before the dodge roll becomes available. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but I found it frustrating.

Loved the slap sound effects and your little bean dude. Double jump and dodge roll felt really good to use.

Good job!

Decisive Battle by Erkberg 2022-04-15T21:56:08Z

really REALLY nice music and graphics. Super impressive for a compo entry. The telegraphs on the enemy attacks were pretty clear, and within 1-2 fights I knew which moves dodged which attacks, it was clear and very polished.

I found myself wanting more since it was a fairly short experience!

I wasn't too sure what the 'defend' option did, so I didn't really use it and just focused on trying to get perfect dodges with jump and duck.

Managed to beat it! (only took me 4 tries :) )

Really solid entry!

A Devil's Prayer by TheGamer1123211 2022-04-18T03:45:39Z

this is ridiculously polished for a gamejam game. Graphics, audio, mood were all completely fantastic.

I found the font slightly difficult to read.

I also found that the angel's melee attacks dealt far too much damage. I wasn't able to survive long enough to really have a good run here, the damage dealt + the constant sapping of my health to the entity far outweighed what I received from enemy kills.

Would have been more fun if some of the values were tweaked a bit. But this was an outstanding entry and you should be very proud!

The Extraterrestial Farm Enterprise by Aggrathon 2022-04-21T19:57:53Z

wow that was tough lol. It gets out of control FAST. Well done for 48 hours!

Island Management by Pete 2022-04-21T18:09:04Z

Neat game idea. I think you matched the theme really well. Some sound would have really gone a long way, it can get a bit boring playing a game with no sound after a while, but I do understand the time constraint makes it tough to get everything in there. Overall well done!

Don`t Sleep by Plepletier 2022-04-05T18:40:52Z

5/5 on the graphics holy cow, beautiful game! Reminded me of paper Mario, I instantly fell in love with your character (plus, REALLY nice effects behind the attack) Love your take on the theme, I've been a part of many meetings and know how hard it is to stay awake!

Unless I just couldn't figure it out, an option to 'return to main menu' or 'quit' from within the gameplay would have been nice.

Honestly, my only critique is just how quickly the difficulty scales up. I found myself getting overwhelmed within the first minute or two of playing and I wasn't ready for it to be over!

Congratulations, really solid entry!

Crumbling World by tgiant 2022-04-19T03:14:01Z

shooting felt and looked good. Loved the isometric tiles, you put some solid effort into making this game look nice.

I would have liked it more if you had more health, or chances to heal or anything, anything to extend the gameplay a little bit.

Good job overall!

To the Beat of the Mountain King by tompudding 2022-04-21T04:03:11Z

solid game! I must say you chose the PERFECT song for this, it made it pretty intense. Was a fun play.

I found the text pretty blurry even without the screenshake and it became hard to read after a while.

Well done!

Crash Defense by maxxim 2022-04-21T18:22:12Z

Neat little game. I almost didn't realize I could build the guns, took me a minute to realize it was a tower defense game. I obviously missed that you show it in the screenshot at the top, but mentioning them in the instructions could be helpful as I almost missed them and closed the game without getting the full experience. Nice graphics and audio, they really helped pull it all together. Great entry overall!

CRASHLANDING by cleitoneldorn 2022-04-21T19:24:28Z

really well done for 48 hours! Wasn't able to beat it but I came SOOOOOOO close. Only about 3800 m away from the ocean. Found this one addicting

Hope you get your 20 ratings!

Fist of the Zombie by guzzungo 2022-04-15T22:05:15Z

Really liked the rage meter. Was pretty satisfying to take down huge hordes of zombies by punching them at lightning speed. Gave me a Street Fighter 2 feel.

The movement was a bit weird. It was quite slow going up and down, but if you moved at an angle you gained a speed boost. I think more mobility would have increased replayability a bit.

Overall it was pretty fun to play!

This Mortal Coil by Baconinvader 2022-04-05T20:19:56Z

I gave it 3 playthroughs. I died pretty early on the first round, I think at level 2, but once I figured out what was going on I thought it was pretty fun to play.

I like the time stopping mechanic, it makes it a lot more fun, and you're on the right track for the theme for sure. I think it would work really well as a rhythm game too.

I liked the sound effects and music, I think they added a lot to your game, some extra work on the art would take it to another level I think. All around pretty good entry, I enjoyed it!

The Unfortunate Tale of Mr. Bones by MiltonNH25 2022-04-18T04:17:16Z

Took me 3 tries to figure out how to place the drills, I nearly quit, which would have sucked because this game was stupidly fun and i found myself getting a bit addicted to it!

With the ability to place enemy spawners as well as towers around those to kill the enemies for me I found it pretty easy, and the only reason I lost is because I got cocky with my spending and didn't leave myself with enough time in the end.

Made it to the 2200.

Overall, super solid entry, VERY good on the fun aspect especially. Good job!

The Looper's BUG by UnidayStudio 2022-04-19T02:41:14Z

Pretty solid mechanics! I was just starting to get the hang of it when the game ended, could have used more levels! But 72 hours really flies fast.

Graphics were great. Solid sound FX. Innovative gameplay as well, haven't played anything with mechanics quite like that before.

Good job!

Orbles by Rongo Matane 2022-04-05T23:42:11Z

Really impressive entry! Can't believe you managed to bang this out in a weekend. Audio was really on point and responsive, I liked the naming conventions for everything, and liked the story. Super intimidating to start with such a huge mob surrounding the city.

It had a STEEP learning curve. I had to restart the game 3 times before learning to right click or press esc to exit out of a build state (for example, when I wanted to 'cancel' out of path building, I kept clicking the path building tool thinking that would do it, only to think the game was bugged when it didn't do what I expected.)

I found it a bit slow. The huge mob made me frantically want to build as many soliders as possible but it seemed a bit slow to get them built up, making me feel a tad frustrated...and once the mob circled in on my city 2-3 times I felt like giving up and starting over since there's so little space to work with.

Overall though, SUPER impressive entry, and I'm wanting to keep coming back for more to do better. Can't even imagine how much work this would have taken. Congrats on getting this massive feat pulled off!

Betrothed by Phlip45 2022-04-14T02:29:10Z

Really enjoyed the voice acting, it added a lot to the game. Definitely made it more fun.

I think you did a great job not having used Unity before, that's impressive for a jam, it would have been outside my comfort zone to try something new like that so really really well done there!

The one thing that I had some trouble with was the mouse control, I found it really sensitive and sometimes hard to navigate, it could have been my own mouse though so not 100% sure if it would be an issue for others.

Overall really great experience, and really really unique!

The Journey of the HMS Theseus by Tad 2022-04-14T02:17:20Z

I thought this was fun. Really appreciated the pause button as I started playing before figuring out how to play, so I was able to recover my first attempt. I liked it enough to try to get further a second time also. Great entry!

Getting Old by erkerkiii 2022-04-15T03:36:10Z

Fun little game! I actually managed to make it to the old man. Felt pretty weak on my first playthrough until I realized there were automatic weapons! That made it a LOT more fun. Felt nice and powerful and lasted juuust the proper amount of time.

Some music really would have added to the mood.

Good job with this one overall!

Sickly Victorian Boy by CSdoesCS 2022-04-09T00:00:13Z

Really really fantastic art style, and the music went along with it perfectly!

Had a fun little experience playing this. I got stuck pretty early on, couldn't figure out the hand fishing minigame thing, but had a good time and the characters made me smile!

VERY good use of the theme too, definitely felt like I was just delaying the inevitable

Taoreta Mura by farzher 2022-04-07T00:14:48Z

Beautiful game. Really great colors. I found it a bit difficult, but played a few times and managed something like 'longer than 75%' of players so I guess I wasn't too bad. I think the biggest area for improvement would be making the gameplay last a bit longer, I feel like it could have been really fun if the rounds were a bit easier or if you could survive more than one hit. Really solid entry for 72 hours!!

PlanetPanic by Thesandgamer 2022-04-14T03:24:34Z

Really enjoyed the controls, especially the ability to fly off ramps! That was a really cool touch.

I enjoyed this one. It gets pretty hectic very quickly, and I didn't immediately realize that the orange cubes were fire, but caught on quickly enough after a moment.

Wished there was more drills and less fire, the fire wasn't as fun to put out as having to do the quick button prompts for the drills, that part I really enjoyed.

I didn't notice any sound FX, that would have added quite a lot, though someone mentioned they were there and were just quiet.

Good job overall!

Farm Dog by Trypants 2022-04-06T22:59:37Z

Really cool game! Had a lot of fun with this one. Rate of upgrades is good and super satisfying. Sound FX are enemy design are engaging and funny. Game controls super nicely (also, really nice touch that the camera slightly follows the mouse cursor.) Even got some particles in there for the walk cycle (and wind, really nice!)

Difficulty felt fair, and I enjoyed the size of the level.

Overall, and it's just a little nitpicky, but I really would have liked more feedback when the enemies get hit by the player projectiles. Some screen shake or a particle burst or a damage tint color would have been great.

Overall super solid entry, thanks for completing it! I had fun playing it

Ludare OS by foxwater 2022-04-06T01:21:50Z

wow, the polish on this one really blew me away. And this is compo, super impressive! First off, thank you for the tutorial video, it was really helpful.

Audio, visual, mood, graphics, everything blended together so well into an awesome retro experience! Having to do math on a timer is stressful in a fun sort of way lol.

Congrats on this awesome entry!

Save prisoner Ryan by Maxime Cyr 2022-04-21T19:33:19Z

that was super fun! Really well made!

Slime Showdown by ToC 2022-04-17T01:16:25Z

This was really really fun!

Amazing amount of upgrades. The amount of XP I received vs the cost of the upgrades seemed very tightly tuned, and the enemies scaled in difficulty really well with the amount of damage I was dealing, very impressive!

Really like the idea of having a boss right from the beginning of the game as well. I mostly avoided him till i got stronger. Loved having familiars to do my fighting for me as well!

Would have been AMAZING if it had some audio to back it all up.

Very well done!

Fifty Dollar Smash by Benjamin Gare 2022-04-06T02:31:08Z

Simple and straightforward, I liked that the enemies dropped upgrades and it got pretty intense towards the end.

Some sound would have really added to the experience. Same goes for visual feedback. I didn't feel too incentivized to actually move around since it made things far more dangerous, and the spawn points were positioned precisely to the left and right and directly above and below me, which made aiming really easy.

Impressive for one person to have completed in 48 hours, you should feel proud!

Congrats on the upload!

Farewell by Geryon Games 2022-04-07T01:11:29Z

This is a really cute entry! The word 'cozy' comes to mind. Loved the mood, music, dialogue, characters, everything. Really really great entry!

The only issue I would say is that it seemed a bit harsh to die after one hit from any of your friends. I didn't get to play quite as long as I would have liked either time I played through it.

Really solid entry overall, one of my personal favorites that I've tried so far. Gave me really good vibes.

Cheers!

If you try hard enough, you can win. by Rxbbie 2022-04-06T01:47:03Z

really really fun! I managed to make it to 2:17 on inevitable mode, it was insane lol! Character speed felt just right, and the AMOUNT of upgrades you get made me really want to keep going.

I liked the shotgun WAY more than the machine gun. Having another weapon with more spread would have been fantastic. Also, a little randomization of some kind to the enemy movement would have been nice.

Overall really great entry!

Horde of Methuselah by mrjeremy 2022-04-06T03:19:39Z

I died real fast the first time, but once I learned how to play holy crap did I ever overtake that map! Really REALLY fun entry. My wife played it and said she wanted to continue playing it for hours. Amazing how some pixels on a screen can be so engaging.

Really really fun and solid entry.

A bit a audio would have done it justice, the game deserves it.

One thing that could be better was the visuals on the buttons, and it would be nice for the game to remember what building I selected so I can just keep clicking to build that same building again (as opposed to clicking on a building every single time I want to build it)

Really well done!

Red giant by Szkocka 2022-04-05T19:04:21Z

Solid experience for 40 hours left, congrats! I think your theme, audio and mood were your strengths here. It was eerie having this red giant growing in my peripheral as I was frantically trying to find more ammo. Took me a minute to get my bearings but after that it was a solid game loop idea.

I found the mouse sensitivity to be a massive issue for the playability. But my main issue was there were several times I went to the blinky red lights and despite looking all around I couldn't find ammo near some of them.

Congrats on your upload!

Cynodon't by loueee 2022-04-19T02:47:07Z

charming sprites! Cute concept, it's a shame it didn't pan out the way you wanted, but keep making games! I keep seeing in the comments that this was your first project in Unity. If so, well done! Quite impressive for a weekend.

DOWN the DUNGEON by renrok 2022-04-09T00:47:37Z

One of my favorite entries I've played so far, wow, well done! I just finished what I think was an intense 5 minute boss fight (I beat him! on the 3rd try)

Loved being able to choose when you fall down to progress, that was really clever. The game seemed to know when I was desperate for a heal, I figure that was intentional :)

Definitely would have felt more punchy with some good sound FX for the attack.

Really REALLY well done!

Countdown by alpharock6 2022-04-21T19:15:23Z

lol at the start I nearly thought this game was incomplete, love how it opened up. The guy seemed to be saying exactly what I was thinking some of the time.

Nicely done!

Immune Response by izaak 2022-04-21T19:09:20Z

cool take on a tower defense! Never played one where your towers degrade over time, that made it HARD. Really liked how the screen filled up with infection over time.

Well done

GRIDLAST by cakts 2022-04-09T00:20:30Z

This was a really solid entry! Well done!

Loved the audio, mood, graphics, and the unique take on killing zombies. Would love more cards to choose from (obviously this would be a post-jam thing since 72 hours goes by so fast!) - my only thing was I found the difficulty scaled a bit quick for my liking, and I didn't see any options for upping my health, so I died very quickly.

Nicely done!

Rage Against The Cocoon by JoeDev 2022-04-05T21:27:08Z

Really great game overall! I laughed hard enough to accidentally spit on my screen a little...twice!

Despite slightly finicky controls as was mentioned, I actually had a pretty easy playthrough and didn't really experience any problems.

Crawling upside down got a bit awkward but I quickly learned to just do a full loop around and it went smoothly.

Excellent work on the sensitivity with the controller, I found it was tuned perfectly and didn't have much trouble controlling the camera.

Got a lot more fun once I got the wings!

Congratulation on an excellent entry!

Waking Gerald by funemaker 2022-04-06T00:57:06Z

Wow, really great job. I loved the game idea, it was really fun.

Your audio is fantastic, the voice acting really pushes it over the top, and the music intensifying as you progress really adds to the atmosphere - the rain does as well! Overall, just really great mood/atmosphere, and I love the silly story.

My biggest complaint was the controls, I really hate having to use my pinky for the dash and my hand just didn't feel natural on the necessary keys. I would have had lot more fun on a controller, I think it would have added a lot and I would have played a few more rounds. (I still played maybe 5 rounds though!)

One other area that could be improved for me is vertical movement. Despite the triple jump, I still found it challenging at times to get up on the clouds. A nice feature maybe could be jumping through the bottom of the clouds to get up.

You have a great little game here, very impressive for a weekend!

Fire Up! by Pranav Sai Arra 2022-04-21T16:09:49Z

Cool idea with the black hole. I found even 'very easy' to be way too difficult honestly, it would have been more fun if I could have survived and played longer. I think my longest run was 30 seconds, so for the fun factor, dialing down the difficulty especially on the easy modes would be nice.

The music and sound effects were quite good!

Overall nice entry, very well done for a weekend!

Gone Out by Bea 2022-04-05T21:42:22Z

Very chill. All things audio were excellent. Loved the parallax with the spritework. Mood was definitely a highlight.

Some sort of UI indication of the max number of sticks you can carry would be nice. Also as to how long you have to keep the fire burning.

The movement was so slow that I felt unmotivated to turn around and drop the sticks in the fire. The sticks were also pretty hard to see at times.

Save Your Soul by Evileptic 2022-04-17T01:48:26Z

Really great mood, use of the art, and sound.

Had some trouble understanding the concept of the game. After inserting the 4 colored things into their slots an alarm went off and the game ended. I played it again just to see if I missed anything, still wasn't sure if there was more to do or not.

Impressive project for a weekend

Super Mowser Bros by Guilloteam 2022-04-15T22:30:22Z

This had a really fun presentation. Paper mario kinda graphics with a tower defense type of mechanic where you're playing as MOWser lmao. Really liked that.

The graphics were great, music and mood were great.

Assigning builders to the nodes was a bit finicky. My first playthrough I thought I didn't understand the game because the guy didn't stay when I assigned him (only happend on the left 2 slots.) - it was finnicky enough that I started only assigning things on the right side to avoid the frustration.

Really clever addition that you could see Bario's progress in each building type at the bottom, everything was very clear and I always knew what was going on. Pretty difficult to accomplish but you nailed it.

There seemed to be a backwards difficulty curve where it got easier and easier over time. Needed some balance tweaking.

Overall really awesome entry! Well done

To SLEEP or NOT to SLEEP by Terabyte 2022-04-17T04:13:39Z

Gorgeous game. I found it really difficult. The hit box seemed a bit bigger than necessary. I found it really hard not to hit obstacles even though it seemed like I was pressing the keys in time. Really enjoyed the audio, it was a really fun touch.

The Assessment by Okamit 2022-04-07T00:46:34Z

just...wow! this was a freaking AMAZING entry! I found myself smiling at the end of it. Really creative and super impressive for a gamejam entry!

Felt really really polished. Couldn't figure out how to feed the guy sushi or how to hydrate the person, but this entry was amazing!

The audio really turned this from a game into an experience. Loved the into cutscene as well. Was funny, cute and fun. Well done!

Healer's Handbook by javi7 2022-04-06T02:24:04Z

holy crap! That was really really fun! visuals, audio, gameplay, everything was really good. I honestly don't have much to critique here, except that I didn't realize to 'charge' you have to draw it starting from the top point, I didn't think it mattered and I actually had to watch your trailer to figure that out. Other than that it was stupendous!

Excellent work, you should be proud.

Slime Rise by haztro 2022-04-06T21:07:00Z

pretty unique idea! Enjoyed my playthroughs of this, took me about 2 tries to fully get a good feel for how it works.

Overall I'd say the difficulty was balanced pretty well, and it had decent depth to its design.

Congrats on a solid entry!

PopCat Hoover Disaster by OrangeDragon 2022-04-05T22:36:40Z

I had a good time with this one!

Everything felt pretty fleshed out, congrats on this, you guys should feel really proud! The graphics were suitably cute (btw, i LOVED the animation of the cat getting caught in the hoover at the end)

The jump felt a bit restrictive in that if I didn't quite make the jump, the gravity was so low that I lost precious time waiting to hit the ground before I could jump again and make my escape.

Overall really solid entry!

Clockwork by Olsie 2022-04-19T03:05:55Z

Cute game! I have to say that your sound FX were really really great, I quite enjoyed the game with the volume turned up!

Bear’s Flower by Shumarie 2022-04-05T20:29:33Z

Very cute game, I think it could be something really fun with some more time put into it. I was a bit put off when I was walking around in the blue space and couldn't find anywhere else to go, I think it would be better if you were limited to the playable space. Your idea fits the theme and the art is good too. Definitely need some work on sound and gameplay though, but it is hard to do in a weekend, so kudos to you for pulling it off!

Typing Turmoil by SugarSugarSugar 2022-04-17T02:24:18Z

Great job for 48 hours.

I enjoyed the typing aspect, especially that you have to complete words in order to move your character away from the enemies.

I have to admit though, just typing random letters hurt my brain. I felt frustrated that it wasn't from a list of real words instead.

Having sound indications when I type correct and incorrect letters really would have been helpful.

Had fun playing this one!

Time Wyrd by Tobius 2022-04-06T01:34:34Z

Boosts and Jump pads were a nice addition to keep the pace going nicely. I appreciated just how many clocks there were to collect as I always had a mini-objective to keep me going forward.

I found the collisions frustrating. I got stuck trying to turn corners multiple times, I think there may be too much friction on the walls.

Congrats on the game, cheers!

M O R E by BoroBoro 2022-04-21T19:49:01Z

that was a REALLY fast speed boost. I found it so fast that it was hard to control lol. Fun concept, well done for 48 hours!

Airborne Retribution: Legacy: Revelations of Invasion: the Return 4 Deluxe: Gold by Eli Peters 2022-04-17T01:27:28Z

That was HARD! Had a good time with this one though. The music really upped the mood and made me want to keep playing.

I found I did better when I didn't shoot at all. Some upgrades to the shooting or maybe having multiple projectiles with some spread right from the get-go would have made it more impactful and useful.

Solid combination of randomized waves that come at you. The issue I had was some of them were pretty easy, and some of them felt down right impossible. The first few runs I only managed to survive for like 6 seconds, and without improving at the game much I was almost able to beat it the next time.

I also would have played much better if I could have controlled with my right hand using the arrow keys.

Also, not sure if this was just me, but I had a really hard time seeing the bullets. I feel like in a bullet hell they should be apparent enough that I can see them well, even in just my peripheral.

Great job!

Procrastination Simulator by ffernn 2022-04-21T04:19:10Z

Funny one, really enjoyed this, it had a lot of charm. So many different animations and sound FX used, quite impressive for a weekend!

Solid entry, nice work!

The Root of All Evil by DV_company 2022-04-06T00:34:55Z

wow, that was TOUGH! Had that old-school NES type of difficulty going on!

LOVED the music, matched the gameplay, mood and art style perfectly, made me feel like a kid again! Really unique idea, and the flamethrower was a fun weapon to use. Minimap came in really handy, great addition!

I found the flamethrower a bit tricky to use for some reason, even with a controller it didn't feel too comfortable. The character always defaults to 'looking right' even when I just moved left. Would have been nice to keep him in his last looking position so I wouldn't always need to use the aim if I'm just wanting to throw out a quick burst in front of me. I felt like the flames took a bit too long to burn (or alternatively it would have been nice if you could move through burning tiles) as I got trapped a few times and needed to wait out the flames.

Most important of all though, it was really fun to play! Excellent work and congrats.

Choboro by DaivyIsHere 2022-04-05T23:03:27Z

Really cool take on a pinball game! Felt very polished and was quite fun to play! It's also difficult, I played several rounds to try getting further each time.

Sound effects were really on point, same with the points popping up and the slight increase in size each time you hit something, made it all VERY satisfying.

The doors or Flippers or whatever they're called, at the bottom, reset a little too slow. I felt a lot less incentivized to use those and was mostly just clicking, hardly hit Z or X at all.

Really solid entry all-around, congrats!

Peter and the Pesky Puppets by agushmar 2022-04-06T00:02:06Z

Really solid entry!

Pros: Really liked how the lighting was affected in real-time by how low the candle was. Seeing the spirits only when I was a certain distance away from them was really cool, it was like they were juuuust being seen in my peripheral. Really strong mood with this one, was creepy and haunty-feeling.

Cons: Was frustrating in several ways. The rooms felt too big and I had some serious trouble finding enough fuel to last me long enough to fully explore the house. The riddles were good, but without knowing where each room that the riddle corresponded to they weren't very useful. A minimap would have been super helpful here!

Overall well done!

Brace for Impact by Bob Verhoef 2022-04-06T00:18:39Z

obviously the art style is fantastic, really well done here! You managed to merge the audio and the visuals perfectly together to fit that old-timey thing you were going for. Excellent mood as well, fit the gameplay nicely!

Was far too short for its own good. I managed to win after about 20 seconds and was a little confused about how. Played a second time and realized how the game worked that time.

I found that the super heavy items weren't much of an obstacle if I just spammed the jump button, so found this game insanely easy to beat.

Really solid entry overall!

What the Hell? by GlorifiedPig 2022-04-19T02:57:28Z

Good sound FX and enemy variety.

Headshots would have made it a lot more fun :)

One issue though, I wasn't able to figure out how to use my other weapons. Gave up after trying a bunch of different keys and mouse buttons.

Good job for a weekend project!

On Death's Door by Travh98 2022-04-21T19:52:43Z

fun idea lol, the concept made me laugh. I was going to say it was too slow until I realized you gained speed with each....dead child?

Earth's Last Stand by Junklab 2022-04-09T00:05:37Z

Fun little game! Very well done esp for a compo entry! Graphics were solid, gameplay was smooth, I liked the knockback on fire, that was a nice touch.

Maybe I need to get good..but I found this game REALLY hard and I think my high score was like 9 years or something.

Congrats and really well done!

TAILGUNNER by Metzkermeister 2022-04-06T01:56:51Z

Really nice work overall!

I like the atmosphere and audio the best. Sets a nice one right off the bat. I enjoy the curve of the plane when moving up and down (adds a lot of difficulty) Felt really good to control and looked good.

The visual and audio feedback was a little minimal. I actually didn't realize I was killing enemies for the first 30 seconds and thought they were just diving off the screen or something. Once I figured out they were dropping ammo it got more interesting.

The Gallows by Burn Tree 2022-04-09T00:59:31Z

Really beautiful game. Not really my style of game that I like, but the story was beautifully told and the art was very well done!

I felt like I was walking on ice, the deceleration could be cranked up a bit.

The mood and atmosphere were really good. I didn't really find it 'fun' as it was more of an interactive experience, but this was very well put together!

ZomBonk by Skull King 2022-04-17T02:00:13Z

Really REALLY nice mood and atmosphere. The loud footsteps and being able to hear the zombies in the background was a nice touch (and the flashlight running out of juice.)

I found it a little boring, I was looking for zombies to bonk for about 2 minutes before I finally found them, had no encounters before that, but I found like 12 of them all chunked together! And then no more for a while after I ran away to get batteries.

Having them spread out a little more would have kept it more interesting for me.

Great work for a weekend project! Solid entry.

Escape Horizon by FrozenTea 2022-04-21T04:12:19Z

Nice and simple concept, and it worked great! Excellent effects around the black hole as well, really added to the experience.

I would have LOVED to be able to launch rocks at other rocks and take out multiple rocks at a time, but this didn't seem to work. Would have been a cool feature to add.

Really solid entry, nice work!

Barbar-chicks by kangsoon 2022-04-07T00:08:47Z

Cute game. The art is really fun and I like the game idea. I did find it really hard. I tried playing four rounds and my high score was 4, so that's a little frustrating, but I'm also not fantastic with puzzles so that may be a factor in my difficulty. It's a very impressive little game to make in a weekend though, great job!

Growing up by FancyPrice 2022-04-17T02:13:24Z

This was really packed with charm. I'm a little disappointed, I wanted to see where it led, but I seem to have frozen the game twice. Each time I leave the room as a child and enter the kitchen, if I push a chair into a surface where the chair can't move, the game freezes up and I have to restart. I wasn't sure what to do.

You had great audio and visuals and a super unique take on the theme. The graphics and audio gave me the warm and fuzzies.

A bigger resolution would have been nice too, it was a very small screen size.

Death and Taxes by aasimow 2022-04-21T04:40:02Z

Pretty neat concept, I really enjoyed this one. Props on the walk animation to the desk, that one made me laugh every time. I almost missed it, but you also had mouth animation for the talking, which was hilarious and a really nice touch!

Solid entry, nicely done

Shadow Rush by Brandsma 2022-04-09T00:30:20Z

Solid entry! Really neat take on the theme, and the controls were super slick and really polished!

I think I found a bug in the tutorial level, when I died no prompt or anything came up, after 30 seconds or so I manually exited to the main menu to continue playing.

Really enjoyed playing your game! (also, the countdown sound FX were hilarious)

Bomb Digging by tete 2022-04-15T03:45:13Z

Really enjoyed the retro style. Sound FX were spot on, some music would have really made it awesome. Good job on getting multiple enemies and powerups in there!

Solid entry overall

SAUCE by Woodpecker233 2022-04-21T19:18:53Z

sauce always down lmao. Great on the theme

WE ARE DOOMED by andrground 2022-04-06T21:19:54Z

Really nice take on the theme, and I found the idea really unique! Had a good time feeling like a superhero, definitely felt like extinction was inevitable!

The controls for the earth rotation felt really unintuitive, like they were inversed in a way that made me have to stop and think about how to get to where I needed to go.

Congrats on a really solid entry!

Bombthrow by LakeDev 2022-04-21T19:40:43Z

wow that was challenging! I managed to beat it though! I felt it was balanced quite well, managed to beat each level within 2-3 tries each. Really fun to play (super nice use of screen shake as well)

Awesome job for 48 hours!

Lone Microbe by timmyisbored 2022-04-14T02:56:10Z

Really liked the out of focus background. Also really enjoyed being able to bump around the particles from destroyed enemies. Felt like the lighter enemies were too fast and had too much health, made my character feel pretty weak.

Fun little game overall!

Overthrow of the King by Gnum_ 2022-04-21T19:45:22Z

those were some mean traps! lol. I found the controls were far too floaty. There also seemed to be partial gamepad control but there was no working jump button that I could find, so I switched back to keyboard.

Would love to see an English version.

Nice job on the graphics, really well polished
