What a lovely game. Enjoyed the story, although I wanted a different ending haha. The text overflows outside the window here and there and I got stuck in the kitchen, pushing the chair wrong way.
Didn't install any fonts and I would recommend not requiring the player to do so, no other game does.
Good job!

That was cute. I got stuck in some places but overall I liked it! Now I don't want to grow up!
Stuck in the kitchen

Well, that was sad, but depressingly true...
Really liked the character design, especially the small details like the emotion on the little boy's face whilst playing with his teddy bear.
The maze definitely gave me Yume Nikki flashbacks, though...!
The game freezes if you push the chair in the kitchen up to a wall and then push it again into the wall, just so you know. I had to restart a few times because of that.
Also, in the English release, it'd be good to have the Latin characters on the first page of the character naming screen and the Cyrillic on the second. I totally get that it makes more sense the other way around in the original, but for localisation purposes, it would be good to swap them around.
Really good job!
Nice idea. As mentioned by others the kitchen can get confusing since you can get stuck moving the chair and then you gotta restart the game.

Hello,
This game is a really cool idea. I know there are a few people my team too who thought about making a game relating to the inevitability of growing up. It's an extremely relatable and emotional game about how humans often feel as they grow older. Less control over the world and a duller view point on what was once so meaningful or colorful to them. The music supported the emotions very well and the art was beautiful.
A few changes I would make is 1. I ran into a chair glitch and had to restart the game. When you push the chair into the wall it gets stuck if you don't go behind it and push it towards the cookies right away. I did not like that you always said "it is inevitable" I think it's pretty clear that aging is inevitable and the player does not need to be told. I think it's a bit jarring and actually less effective by saying it over and over again. Also I was confused at the white room part. I thought it was a glitch or an invisible maze type thing. I'm not sure if this was intentional for the story but maybe making it a bit more clear to keep walking to the right.
Overall very impactful game emotionally and def one of the coolest/most innovative games that I have played this jam.

OMG! First of all I am really exited that there is another RPG Maker submition. My submission is also made with RPG Maker VX Ace but what you did was kinda my first thought, but since I have not worked in RPM before I couldn't make a lot of custom things. I am impressed from the work you've done in three days, well done! I am wandering have you made anything with custom scripting? There were a lot of things that I couldn't figure out how you made them. Also there is a bug with the chair in the kitchen if you push it towards the table, @uboretsky I think that's why you got stuck, try going from bellow and push upwards.

Aww this is super packed with charm in the art and the story is genuinely touching. I encountered the chair bug mentioned by others and noticed a couple of text boxes in the English text overflow, thus leading to some text not reading quite right. Despite its problems, I loved every moment of what I played and totally vibe with the excellent music and visuals!
This was really packed with charm. I'm a little disappointed, I wanted to see where it led, but I seem to have frozen the game twice. Each time I leave the room as a child and enter the kitchen, if I push a chair into a surface where the chair can't move, the game freezes up and I have to restart. I wasn't sure what to do.
You had great audio and visuals and a super unique take on the theme. The graphics and audio gave me the warm and fuzzies.
A bigger resolution would have been nice too, it was a very small screen size.
I really enjoyed your game! Right from the start the music kicked in, and it was a trip right back to childhood! really felt like the art and music worked so well here with the story. I enjoyed it so much I wanted each section to last longer, but alas you can't delay the inevitable :p. The puzzle with the cookies was fun, and I was worried when I saw the maze but it was forgiving and fun. The ending tripped me out, and I was wondering how you knew my name hahaha, good job on the whole game. It was a great experience from start to finish, hope you keep making games because this one is special.
Nice game, even if I got stuck in the kitchen a couple times. I liked the art and music, even if there wasn't much gameplay. Like other people have said, sometimes the text goes offscreen with the normal font.
@sasquatchbstudios you can press alt+enter in any RPG Maker game to go to fullscreen, though it doesn't "really" change the resolution
