Really interesting game, super impressive work with voicing and creating a big city. I enjoyed sneaking aroumnd the warehouse.
great game! loved the animations!
nice bike!
Had a big smile on my face the whole time. Can't believe you guys did voice acting for a Game Jam, points just for that! The death animation was the best part!
I couldn't play too long because the game makes my laptop very hot and lags a lot even in small windowed mode. However I like the concept and there seems to be a lot of content. With better optimization and a smaller scale (just sneaking into a warehouse was fun already) the game would have been great.
Good job, love the voice acting
A nice touch on the theme! Would be nice to have a minimap or something else that shows where the guards are. Unfortunately I got stuck: the game autosaved in a situation where I get immediately caught.
The sounds are pretty good, and there's definitely some polish - like when I walk past people and they ask if I'm alright. Sucks that it runs so terribly on Web. Maybe post a download so we can play a native version? Great job!
A few frustrating respawns right in front of guards at times but overall really fun and hilarious especially the voice acting of the scientist lmao
@lambbrainz there is a download link if you scroll down!
@arthur-mairs so there is! Sorry I must have missed that. Thanks!
A great game and an impressive amount of work done in such a short time. I really enjoyed sneaking around the warehouse and love the sound and animation when caught by the guards. Well done!
Great job with the voice acting and animation! Having to stay on the lookout for pills was stressful in a fun way. I ran into one little issue: Pressing Ctrl + W closes the window, so I had to be careful when crouching to not accidentally close the WebGL game window.
Fun game! The voice acting really sells it, and the stealth section feels extra engaging because of the timer counting down. It makes waiting for guards to walk by even more tense! Nice job!
I managed to finish it !(I think...? I turned zombie?) Hopfully their is check point.
For those who are stuck, try to run(shift) and jump, that give invulnerability frames on gards !
Same problems, some checkpoints are not safe enouth and gards spot you immediatly Nice voicesover, i did not get everything but nice ^^
The second part (after the warehouse) is easier and more interesting that the first.
Good job on animations too.
First Game I played with Voiced Lines!!! Really good job! I'm horrible at stealth games, but I still tried a couple times LOL, It was fun and you were really able to capture the atmosphere!
Its an impressive amount of work in such a short time, one thing don't know if it was deliberate or not but the puzzles didn't reset when you died, so you could run grab the key die (that animation never got old) and then walk to the door
NO WAY! My game practically the same as yours!
Unfortunately I was caught in a loop of constantley being seen after I respawned, but still impressive.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Impressive open world, fun gameplay, and it was a decent length too. Probably one of the greatest game over animations I've seen. I don't really have anything negative to say about it.
@real-flamingicecubegames Thanks for the feedback, the group had a lot of fun making this game! the game over animation is definitely a highlight!
Its an impressive town with a lot of detail there for the time constraint. Some of the outdoor areas were a but far with nothing interesting to do but hold w. I found I could ignore the guards a lot of the time and just blast through the map. The camera ends up pointing somewhere random whenever I clicked in the webgl version which was annoying. The exclamations of the npcs was a nice touch. Could have done with some music though. I appreciate the autosaves, though I did get caught in a loop of being seen for a bit.
Really interesting game! I love how you had voice acting, and just bumping into the NPCs gave me a laugh! Very detailed there with the NPC feedback!
I couldn't get further than the inside of the warehouse as I kept getting caught, but I loved how the guards would punch you down, nice little cutscene there!
deserves for a lot fame. There's so much effort: NPC are talking and game starts with the cutscene! Good job!
Played on the Web version:
Extremely ambitious concept for a Game Jam. The random street people voice lines and the kick to the coin purse when caught in the warehouse made me laugh - very nice touches. The stealth genre in not one I'm very good at and it's barebones approach here (which I fault more to the limited time of a Jam) made it very hard for me to get through. The suggestion for a minimap would have been a huge upgrade.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with this game and was very impressed with the amount of work and attention that was put into this Jam. Great job!
I played both the web version and the windows build. The web version ran really slowly, but I think that may have been an issue on my side. For a jam game you were able to get a lot done and I really like the stealth mechanics. The use of lighting to create a mood was great. The audio peaked a bunch or sounded like it was recorded in a room with an echo. Having some sort of lean mechanic to look around corners and not get caught would have been helpful, though after getting caught a few times I was able to learn the guard patterns. Overall I think this is a nice entry, great work!
Great work!
This is really cool! I am super impressed that you managed to fit fully voiced cutscenes into a game jam game!
I had some performance issues on web, but it seems like it is much better when downloaded. While I liked everything, my favourite feature was definitely the short voice lines that the NPC's played when you walked by them. That was a really nice touch!
Really funny game! All sound are very amusing! I like atmosphere you made, that's cool!
had a good chuckle with the game over sequence  nice one!
An impressive amount of work for such a short time! I got a few laughs out of it. ;) I loved the NPC's lines, it was a rather unexpected feature to find in a jam game.
I see most of the issues I had with the game (performance and controls in the web version) have already been mentioned by other people, so there's not much for me to add here. Perhaps one thing I'd change is the wording on the hover text when pointing at a pill bottle - it says "left mouse button to use", but left mouse button just picks it up, and you have to use it with "E". Come to think of it, is there any reason to hold on to them instead of always using them immediately? In that case, it might be better to just auto-use the pills on pickup.
Oh, and it would also be great to have an option to skip cutscenes - I had to restart the game a couple of times and couldn't skip past the intro.
