I loved playing this game! The graphics are great and gameplay is fun.
thats a great gameplay Loop I was planning on just giving it a couple lives but the game is really fun and trying out the different gear kept me around! I played for a good half hour and still never made it to the otherside. great stuff man really impressed!
Love the environment and mood. Nice work!
nice game overall. the first pic reminded me of half life i dont know why  well done!
Really nice game. Some sick metal beats could spice it up a bit, but the rest is awesome. Who doesn't like Mechs? :D
Very interesting game, this concept looks cool!
Very cool design and gameplay, I like
Creative idea I haven't seen something like it yet. There were a few moments where I was walking around and I couldn't find any enemies to fight but the gameplay was super intuitive and fun.
I am a real sucker for mechs. Graphicly your game is outstanding and gameplay wise its very solid.
I really liked the design! Everything was really desolate and the enemies really felt like powerful forces to be reckoned with. It might have been cool to hoard a bunch of parts then assemble your mech before the next run instead of trying to build one as you go. There's a small bug of still hearing the walking sounds while in the air. But other than that there were no problems! Good work!
Really captured that old PC game feel. Nice variety of parts. I barely made it to the end with heavy parts and after running out of all my ammo. One of my favorites so far.
Very impressive graphics and effects here. Really good idea too, replaying feels different with the different loadouts and keeps you coming back. The enemy ai seems pretty good too, challenging but fun. I kept thinking this could really use some sound and came to write this but looks like its just me the sound isn't working for, strange. also there was some slowdown on particle explosions and I got this error ERROR: instance_set_transform: Condition "Math::is_nan(v.x)" is true. At: servers/visual/visual_server_scene.cpp:601. Technical issues aside its a really impressive game and you done well to get all that in there. P.S. Would have been nice to shoot the orb
**EDIT** The sound works. I retried it and its all fine and does add to the atmosphere and impact of the action
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Interesting concept, but quite hard
God I love the idea of the game and was excited to pack it onto my "to play" list, but sadly I get immense frame drops as soon as an enemy is rendered. I did manage one run without too big issues, and fighting the enemy mech was immense fun. I for one liked that they are somewhat bulletspongey, like of course they are - they are freaking mechs! :D
But like the poster before me already said, technical issues aside it IS an incredibly impressive 3D game. Especially for a Godot game! Big Ups!
@trexxak yes the frame drops even occur on my high end pc and i couldnt fix them in time - its actually a physics issue not a graphics issue, with how i move the enemy mechs. I cant fix it for this jam obviously but im hoping to update the game soon to get rid of those nasty drops. Thanks for the feedback!
Oh sweet! I'll be sure to play the updated version, then!
Liked the mech animations and graphics. Quite hard to beat enemies😅
@betovf its all about strafing! And keep your distance if possible!
i tried so many times, with low and high weight, but never managed to get to the end, even if i sprinted for the end, mostly died cuz zombiefied. one time i saw the screen becoming realy dark and a biiig bright white orb was infornt of me, but i died before i could get to it. nice game.
Hi!
I played your game live today, you can watch the VOD here: https://youtu.be/XGmb_ZrYFFo?t=6623
this is probably my favorite game of the jam so far. It looks so nice and plays so smooth, its insane! :D
Wonderful game. The art is simple but nice. The weapon effects are well done. The sounds are good. The gameplay is very fun.
A few things that would make it better. -The left and right weapons should be swapped. It's a bit disjointed to have the left button fire the right weapon. -I'd like to have a display of my current equipment. -A distance indicator to the target would be nice.
Wow, took me a while to get the hang of things, as @archimagus said the primary and secondary weapons seem swapped on the mouse buttons. Other than that, this was a really fun game to play once I got rolling. Super well done!
@lombax were you collecting higher level parts? If you have at least 2 level 3 parts you can make it to the end relatively comfortably. Thanks for kind words!
@griddolini hmmmm, ill give it another try, when i tested it didnt feel like higher level parts did anything to lower the rate i zombiefied, but i could be mixing up my tries. tried alot of different things to try and get to the end. hmmmm ok i made it now, im not sure if i did anything different tho, i got all lvl one parts, light body part. the posion ticked at 0.63% each tick, other times it have like a 0.8 or 1% each tick, i also started with 10 speed this time. so im not sure if that is just luck, or just me picking the correct part from the dead robots
@lombax getting to the end with level 1 parts is pretty solid! lol I haven't been able to do that. Yeah all parts get more armor per level, and the poison rate is directly related to your armor level.
One of the best entries I played. Well done in every aspect.
Oh, That's Amazing work! I've enjoyed this game. GJ!
I'm still smiling after finally reaching the objective!
What a rollercoaster of an entry! The 3D models and weapons were uniquely designed and seeing the gameplay from the perspective of inside your mech made for amazing immersion!
The parts selection mechanic was well done and gave an awesome diversity to completing the objective. I made it to the orb using light wheels and a heavy chassis with only 2 HP left; that made for a tense but rewarding ending.
The map design was varied enough to where I could "speed-jump" up hills in a pinch and position myself to be in cover from most enemies I encountered. They were definitely a formidable threat in my run to the objective.
I could never really gauge my distance from the objective, so I had to just run and pray more than half the time after I salvaged a good loadout. That's my only gripe, but the mystery and suspense definitely added to the experience.
I'm a sucker for Sci-fi, robots, and 3D graphics, so this game gets high marks across the board from me! It was a wonderful time! I'd definitely play the next iterations of this game going forward!
Great mecha game, it felt really good fighting the other mechs, I liked how heavy and armored everything felt.
