was super confused about how to onboard into the game, was cool I like the vibe but yeah found it hard to play.
Super cool. Love the art style. A bit challenging but being able to quickly retry and develop strategies is really nice.
Oh wow, was not expecting this to be a puzzle game, was anticipating an endless survival style game. Really creative and well executed! The graphics are beautiful too. I'll have to come back to beat the 3rd level, lost all my trees to the great flood close to the end :(
Very good game, congratulations. It's a little difficult at first to understand but once you understand it it's very satisfyingScreenshot_6.png
The vibe of this game is so relaxing, its great. Islander vibes, but the retro-ish graphics are amazing! Nice job!
Saw this game on stream and couldn't help but come play it! One of the best resource management sims I've seen of any ludum dare games, and generally a super solid entry. My one critique is that some of the levels could have been clearer on what portions of the level were higher than others, but that's small potatoes on a fantastic game :D
@fedeolive congrats on the win! Thanks for playing it all the way through.
@vulkaara yeah that is definitely an issue with this version of the game. Thanks for playing!
Really like the puzzle element on this game! Had fun figuring these out.
One small art criticism is that the pixel art water doesn't match the buildings. (The water looks amazing tho)
Took a while to see that it was a puzzle game with levels instead of a base builder but I saw what I was doing after the first level "tutorial". It looks nice and comfy too but the flat colors (trees, houses, stones) look a little out of place next to the pixel textured stuff. The water looks really nice too.
Not really my piece of genre, but my boyfriend has been playing this for like. 50 minutes. I'm not even exaggerating
Great idea, but feels like game is a bit buggy. When I restart first island I can have first 3 coins or I can receive none of them. And it's just random, so it took a lot of time to understand, what's going on because of that :(
@yogurtthehorse this is a bug we have not encountered before. What are you playing on?
@happygamer500 MBP14 M2, Google Chrome
@yogurtthehorse if I may ask, could you send a screenshot so we could get a better idea of what might be happening?
@happygamer500 sure! Here is a footage: http://ygrt.ru/towers.mov
I restart game and Gold counter just puts random 3 or 0
@yogurtthehorse Thanks for the video, the programmer on the team says its a race condition relating to performance that is causing the issues.
Oh boy, that's just brilliant. If this was made by high school juniors, then I just can't imagine what you'll do when you graduate! It's very satisfying, smart, polished, and challenging. My favorite game on this jam so far!
Suuuper solid! You already know I liked this one! The music's charming, graphics are nice and it's a generally polished game. Huge props!
That was an amazing game and a fun take on the theme! Very well done!!
This was a great little puzzle game with a nice vibe! It's fun planning out your economy and making decisions while considering both short and long term outcomes. Good stuff!
very fun and engaging game, clear play on the theme, liked the resource management part and design. Currently got to 3rd level but plan to return later to finish the game. I have not finished it, but already want more levels :)
I think in the beginning it needs some time to understand what's going on, not only in terms of mechanics, but understanding what solution is right, but from 2nd try you have an idea and everything should go smoother. Another small point is that you try to jump straight to the action and forget to read you tutorial tips in the bottom, could make it a bit more clear
Great job, one of my favorites!
Sometimes if your city sinks and you click retry, you start without any gold. I didn't understand the game at first, so my city sank and then I had no gold, further confusing me.
I like that there is no timer so I can take my time and think ahead, also the game fits the theme very well
Very nice one! Beautiful game. Simple and delicate graphics and easy to understand mechanics. The only problem I had was in the third level. I thought that the two green areas where of the same level, so I was sure I won, but instead I lost in a very unpleasant way :( Very nice entry!
Wow, that was a great survival city builder! Graphics, music, everything is so polished. Super cool design.
@ayced yeah, there is a bug in the code that makes it so that sometimes on lower performance computers the starting gold doesn’t appear. If you restart once or twice more it should come back, should you decide to return to the game.
@greenphox yeah this is a major issue with the game in its current state. Sorry about that!
ok THIS is a rad game! Great concept and use of the theme, you can really get into the strategy and optimizations, graphics look great! If I had to say anything at all is that the controls could be a bit more streamlined/consistent. I would always end up grabbing everyone with the basic left and right clicks so I'm unsure of the utility of the shortcuts, and the use of left and right click between game functions is mildly inconsistent. But those are minor issues, great job!
Ohh this game was super pretty and super relaxing. The graphics totally reminded me of the DS (in a very very good way). The music was an incredible fit, too!
I think maybe one critique I have, other than the issue other people mentioned here about having a hard time telling what is at the same height as other things, is the wording of the day counter is a bit confusing, at least for me. Having the text of the in-danger houses and buildings be red was a super duper great touch, but (and this is also because I was playing this game while multitasking other chores) I would forget if "two more days" meant "today and tomorrow" or if it meant "tomorrow and the day after that". Maybe having a little calendar in the corner as well? Even if it only shows you a week at a time or something.
I'm also unsure if this is an oversight, or if it was intentional, but I realized about halfway through the game that buildings are able to hang off of ledges? And pretty drastically, too. I think me trying to put the trees really close together (and being unable to) to save space made me feel like buildings would also need a lot of space on the sides of them, so when I realized they didn't I was (pleasantly) surprised.
I think my favorite thing about the game, though, is how non-intrusive the tutorial is. It's right there, if you need it, not distracting you or forcing you to go through it, but still able to be scrolled through if you want to. Very, very good tutorial design!
This such a cool take on the theme and very unique puzzle game! The visuals remind me a lot of godus, which I use to spend way too much time playing as a kid LOL. It's very relaxing, pretty, and well executed! I really love the way the water moves... I could stare at that for a while. I like that I really had to think and plan out each of my moves, even if it was a little hard on my end-of-day brain haha.
Thanks for submitting the game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod timestamped to your game

TOUGH! And I keep loosing track of buildings with people in them. Fun challenge that I will be coming back too! Thanks for the great game!
Great game in every way. Hung around for a few hours. Quite challenging. Couldn't get past the third level :) photo_2023-10-07_03-04-22.jpg
@akulove thanks for playing! I have a bad habit of making hard last levels…
One of the best out there, manages to be simple yet complex, and fits the theme perfectly.
Clicking retry didn't give me the 3 starting gold! Also, it seems the next day button doesn't let me progress to the next day when I click the button, but one time when I skipped to level 2 I was able to use the button and try the game. But other than those issues I found, this is a frickin' sick entry! I had a lot of fun with this, the vibe is perfect and the use of limited space is front and center. Good job :)
@dan-m thanks for playing! The loss of starting gold is a known big, but not being able to advance to the next day is not. Is it possible you had a building selected?
Fantastic entry! Vibes were great and it was fun to play. Well done all around.
Wow! Impressive playtime! For me this is the best entry in a whole jam.
@ryjcio thanks!
