It's a block pushing game with *hella a e s t h e t i c*. I'm bad at these types of games, but if you're not, it ought to be a rad time :)
Hilarious concept! It's just as awkward as me at real parties!
very neat game! love all the stuff you've dotted around, just wish there was more of course!
Pretty good, pretty good. The hit detection was a bit weird when picking things up or throwing them into the fire, but the sound design was pretty good! I was the TNT did something though :/
Super cool concept! Love the art, it's SO FREAKING PRETTY! Game is pretty hard though, the gods just blow so much harder than me so I tried preparing and keeping the pot in place, but it didn't work out so well whenever I tried. I think having a clearer idea of the range and strength of the winds would help a lot, but overall pretty cool time!
Freaking awesome game! Saw it first on Squidly's stream and I had to try it out! It's so impressive what y'all managed to accomplish! Really could use high scores, though, but that's barely a complaint! I look forward to the stuff you make in the future!
This game was fantastic! I love the concept and the narrative a ton! I think it played really well into gameplay, especially near the end; it felt like I was on pins and needles when I was playing. If I had to say anything, more music would we nice (though the music present is really good) and the early obstacles could be themed a bit better, but those are really nit picky! Oh actually, I did have some deaths/weird collisions with the edge of the screen a few too many times, but other than that, it was great!
A lot more fun than I was expecting for such a simple game! Really wanted to keep trying to get further and further, I love that exploration of mechanics! Maybe I just didn't make it far enough but having the entire game on just one edge of the screen feels kinda weird though. Overall though, pretty good stuff!
@potkirland thanks a ton! I'll try to stream later this week on my YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4N_yH80RiCzluGaSXH-CRA, I'll cover your game again!
super cool runner! everything is really well put together, especially the sound design and art! looking forward to that mobile version!!
Simple concept, good execution, nice retro graphics, wish there was a bit more to it, overall pretty good job, especially considering this is a compo game!
pretty ok. I like the concept fine enough, but the level design didn't feel super intentional, like I had to just wander until I found the sign post. I don't think the end sequence was implemented properly? I assume that the inevitability you're trying to delay is crashing on the drugs but it never felt like a punishment to not have it. At most, the animations broke and I couldn't attack when I ran out of party meter. Nothing happened either when I ran out of health, either. Also, I wish the ninjas were tied in a bit better as to why they're fighting this teddy bear. Not a bad game, especially considering the time constraint, but I feel like a lot was cut which is so unfortunate.
Really great idea, execution leaves a bit to be desired. The mouse AND platforming was a bit much, at least on trackpad. Eh, well, actually I think the main issue is the tracking of the box. Even after clicking it had a tendency to drift off of where I initially placed it, leading to some unfair deaths. That combined with the camera fighting me made it hard to continue, which SUCKS cause the concept is SO GOOD! Great graphics too, it's crazy that you solo'd this in 50 hours :D
High score leaderboard is a neat addition, but I feel like that time could've gone into adding more variety into the game itself. You'll spend your time either waiting slightly offscreen for asteroids or spamming the cannon at the UFOs (though I do realize that dying to a UFO immediately offscreen is punishment for trying to be clever lol.) There's a good base though here at least, just wish there was more to do :)
The mood is pretty spot-on. Sleeping with animals on the bed is such a struggle, they sleep on the most inconvenient spots LOL. I wish rotation was independent of dragging, it made playing on trackpad pretty annoying. The art looks pretty good but them not perfectly aligning to their hitboxes made it pretty annoying to gauge how to arrange them on the bed. Nice job making a bunch of levels at least!
ok THIS is a rad game! Great concept and use of the theme, you can really get into the strategy and optimizations, graphics look great! If I had to say anything at all is that the controls could be a bit more streamlined/consistent. I would always end up grabbing everyone with the basic left and right clicks so I'm unsure of the utility of the shortcuts, and the use of left and right click between game functions is mildly inconsistent. But those are minor issues, great job!
It's pretty alright! Kinda wish that it rotated by the center rather than the side to make the left side more actionable, and the RNG felt really annoying since many of my runs would end with an entire line of spikes with no collectables in sight. But I could definitely see people really putting in the time to get better at it, the skill component is high for sure!
@slimetrash OKAY SO IT TURNS OUT I WAS ONLY USING HALF OF THE CONTROLS LOL, didn't realize I could use WASD to move the other side of the bar. Might wanna write the full controls somewhere, but I guess that's what I get for not playing the tutorial
I think there's something here! There's definitely room for more depth with the different types of items, but unfortunately the best strategy seemed to come down to spamming the button. I think that only counting the items that are physically inside the cart is meant to curb this, but with the player not having so much control over where the cursor is unless you spam, it just seems contradictory. But with some tweaks, I think there's room to grow!
Neat idea, just unfortunate that you didn't have the time to polish. There didn't seem to be much indication on what the user wanted. The sticky notes didn't explain much imo. Graphics (aside from the AI art) are pretty neat and on theme. The user banging the computer is hilarious, too bad it's what you don't want to happen.
