that's an awesome game you made

jaked 2022-10-03 23:33

Impressive little game, very polished visuals and sound. Could do with being a little faster paced but that's just the theme, not much you can do about that!

matt-barnfield 2022-10-03 23:41

The aesthetic is great!

Gameplay-wise there was quite a lot of information up front and not a lot of feedback as to whether I'm doing the right thing, so I spent a fair chunk of time quite confused. This may be an intentional thing to build suspense though.

The sound effects really support the atmosphere too

Hello, I was NOT prepared for the first level ! It's really cool concept when we finally understand how to play. Good tutorial... really needed !

astrydax 2022-10-04 00:05

really cool game, a bit complicated. Love the graphics and vibe.

happygamer500 2022-10-04 00:42

Very fun game, got me a number of times. Didn't quite make it to the final night...

lomby 2022-10-04 15:27

Cool game, really like the aesthetic and the audio design! Was a little daunting how much info was given in the tutorial but it definitely helped for the game-play. Would possibly suggest just having one type of enemy on the first few nights so that the tutorial and mechanics could be split up a bit and the player could build up knowledge as they played. Last night was terrifying! Great work!

@kesha : Thankyou!!! @jaked : Yeah, pacing issues have been fixed now!

perfectfitz 2022-10-04 17:06

The theme reminded of Stranger Things for some reason. I really liked the art and music!

adamphoebe 2022-10-04 17:08

@matt-barnfield Thank you for this feedback! Conciseness issues have been fixed now! @chromaphase Yeah, you kinda need to die a few times to understand the gist of it.

kepsert 2022-10-04 17:10

Really cool and neat aesthetic, I LOVED the oldschool vibe. Took me a bit to get into and even then I seemed to have struggled quite a bit; sometimes I randomly died and I still couldn't quite figure out why haha. Anyway, I shall get back to this to figure it out fully later tonight!

adamphoebe 2022-10-04 17:11

@Astrydax and @lomby : Conciseness issues have been fixed now!

@happygamer500 : Thanks! It's a shame you didn't get to experience the full game, but it's understandable!

Interesting title

I really like the style and audio in this game. Took me a bit to get used to the controls and the intricacies but it is a really cool concept and execution of such a game!

austin-sierra 2022-10-04 23:48

Interesting puzzle game with a great dark theme. Good writing

rincs 2022-10-05 14:07

Oh man! I'm a scaredy cat but I really enjoyed playing this game! I'd love to see more stages and the twist in change of gameplay at the end was fun, but definitely not as challenging as the stages before it. I hope you continue to work/polish this game after the jam!!

euler-moises 2022-10-05 14:11

I liked the game. Really. The simplicity of what you see helps with quick thinking (unlike Five night at fredy with all that stuff to do.). The gameplay at first looks like it's going to be complicated but it turns out to be quite simple in the end. Now this plot twist at the end I didn't like. I like the two styles of games, but separate. Jumping from a puzzle game to an action game suddenly diminished my interest quite a bit. But anyway I finished.

Congratulations on the work.

This game demonstrates what a 5 star mood rating really is! Had a great time playing on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1609528446?t=0h55m15s

These really sucked me in, even after watching it being played on stream. It's honestly super creepy playing it alone. I was still a little confused about the mechanics, but I seemed to be able to work through it anyway. The style is excellent, it really sets the stage for your brain to fill in the gaps and make it spooky. Excellent work, one of the best I've seen so far!

tricky-fat-cat 2022-10-05 17:36

A superb idea and its realization, it's simple but addictive. The only problem I had was with the interface and tutorial level. I think it's better to have a step-by-step tutorial when you ask the player to do something instead of giving the freedom to choose the page.

roroto-sic 2022-10-05 19:40

very intersting gameplay, very unique experience! (the big red monster get my car )

faust-mi 2022-10-08 09:40

Cool sound effects, nice art and mood! Goob job!

chris1919 2022-10-11 02:46

I think player feedback is the big thing missing in this game. It was very hard to tell if what I was doing was the right thing to do or if it had any effect at all. Although it goes against the 10 second system reset, signalling to the player that they killed an enemy would've been really helpful in this regard.

I got to the end of the game, without understanding why I had to use firearms in rooms with bad cameras. I really don't know what purpose the cameras served either. The microphones, lures, and flamethrowers I think made sense though

The art and sound design played well together. You really transported me back with the whole aesthetic.
