Not sure where to see the score, and I felt I was getting negative more than positive, but neat game.

Not sure where to see the score, and I felt I was getting negative more than positive, but neat game.
nice idea, would be nice to see the score though
cool concept, but instead of using a number as score, it should be a threshold diplsay bar (more visual). a graphical work could push the idea forward. sometimes the rules gets too random and it's way too hard to get skill involved. keep up the good work !
@happygamer500 @joshua-weggartner Were you playing on the embedded version not in full screen? The resolution is not the right size to see everything, so the score is visible only if you go full screen. I will work on rebuilding it to work for the resolution required.
It's hard to dodge. The game as a whole is interesting and beautiful!)
Nice concept, but I fell like it's way too hard to dodge the hexagons, so things like double or -100 will kill you for sure
@vimmagic Awesome wee game. I read some other comments and FYI, I played on Itch WebGL and could see the score fine. I think it would be a lot better if you could see what the score was going to be in the next round, so you can prepare in the current round.
I got destroyed by trying to keep a low score, then the next round was a negative score multiplier. Brilliant though, good work :)
Okay, at first I was like "this is dumb." Until I lost for having TOO MANY points? Then I was in it. Dodging tiles, grabbing negatives. Such a cool idea.
I think the player token could have been a little faster. It was hard to dodge the hexes, or get the ones I wanted. At some point I was just standing in the corner. That said, maybe changing up the spawn points too.
@matt-green Thank you so much! I definitely want to work on a more sophisticated spawning pattern, and perhaps a sprint function.
nice game!
This was nice! The graphics and basic mechanic are simple but the score logic makes this very interesting. The randomness of it all also makes it pretty cruel, but IMHO in a funny way. :-D
Nice work! And congrats on your first LD game jam entry!
I love the concept. Just one little thing: when there's a multiplier, the game become suddently **SUPER HARD**.

I guess that this randomness is what makes the player to want to try again, to see if they'll have more luck this time. I would love to see some kind of dash or other move to try to catch or avoid more polygons.
Good job on this one, it's simple and fun!
That was pretty fun! It does seem like randomness is a big part of how long you can stay alive, though, negatives after divisions are brutal, and -50 also hits like a truck. It would be cool if you could expand or shrink yourself with a key, since sometimes you're trying to vacuum orbs and sometimes you're trying to dodge like it's a bullet hell game.
@const-arch That's a neat idea! I was trying not to get in over my head with features for my first ludum dare, but I might add that in the future.
@chocolat-endive Yeah, in retrospect the multiply and divide are a bit extreme. I think I want to tone them down in the future.
The creativity is very good, it is addicting to play, but the value is too large and the death is fast:smile:
Really great concept that build on the misconception that points are only to go up. But way to difficult when you are getting to the DOUBLE part.. Screenshot 2022-10-05 104600.png
Nice concept, it would be fun to see some distinct shape spawning patterns thrown into the mix. A small thing, but I wondered if it would feel a little smoother if the player sprite didn't get pushed when you collect a polygon.
Really fun high score game. Nice concept to have to manage how much points you have, my only complaint is that it can get to random at times. The point value can chage from somthing below 10 to 100 which results in a huge leap of difficulty that feels random.
A fun and simple game! The point interval for the orb could be a bit smaller, so that the player can't suddenly get 100 and just lose.
How do you see how many you have currently?
Nice easy game, the randomization in points and lose game condition add a lot to the otherwise simple gameplay
Really fun and simple to learn!
@confusedsoph You must play in full screen to see the current score.
Nice calming atmosphere!
I do wish there was some feedback when you're close to losing though, as initially I didn't realize I had to keep the score below 1000...
Simple game but still a fun time! Mood is really nice and calm! Great first entry!
Me: Ooh, a relaxing game to just collect points. Game: Value -100 points Me: :open_mouth:
Super interesting concept, like it a lot! I agree with other that it should be a bit easier to dodge the polygons, especially when there are multipliers or divisions happening. But overall a very good entry, good job!
nice concept, and i liked how the pieces collide with each other. but i was missing some UI about the treshold. i get that it's 1000, but as someone suggested, a filling bar may be more appropriate than a score.
nice game tho!
