This is *really good!* A beautiful emotional story about life, with amazing use of the layer parallax in Construct 2....
I'm speechless.
I love how you guys used the theme of the jam in this game.
It has a good audio, plays smoothly and has an emotional value.
I like the art style and the overall play!
Congratulations on creating this beauty for Ludum Dare!
Best regards,
Caio Varalta
Congratulations Laerte, your game is very beautiful and I really liked how you used the jam theme. I found some bugs, but nothing that would hinder the experience.
@peace-of-cake-games DMy dear friend, I am very happy to see you here again and honored with your words, I will be starting to play the largest number of games from ludum tomorrow, and yours will be one of the first, a big hug!
@varalta Your words bring great happiness in my heart !, a sign that I am going in the right direction, thank you for making someone's day happier, a big hug!
@miranha How wonderful to be participating, meeting friends here, and getting to know great work, thank you from the heart for your help, a big hug!
The graphics were awesome, i loved the level of detail, that you put into the facial expressions, although simply made, they delivered the message. I also liked the music, it matched the general atmosphere, the voice acting was nice, but it sounded like spanish(?) would have been even better for the athmosphere, if it were made in english.
I don't know, if there was an actual end of the game, or if we were supposed to loop throught he memories over and over again - maybe i did not get the hint at the end of the playground after seeing the bad memories again.
All in all a very nice submission, i have enjoyed it!
@nerzal This game contains an ending, which is only seen when you do the action correctly, few have found will you be one of them? The narrated language is Brazilian Portuguese, I wanted to portray the confusion in all aspects including the "language" showing the loss of the character's identity. Be very happy for your feedback, a big hug my friend!
Great game! I like the atmosphere, and I like how the two scenes after the chase are different from each other. Graphics looks great too! I thought that I solve the second ending (just go back after the chase is finished), but apparently it is not the case. Could you give me a hint?
@badabooom63 I am very happy for your feedback, and I feel my heart warmer with such kind words, just for that I will give you a hint the answer is in the "sad phase", a big hug my friend!
Gostei muito da abordagem do tema, Laerte. Parabéns pela interpretação. Me senti importante por ter conseguido completar minha missão ♥
Short and sweet! Very wholesome and introspective, definitely coveys a message and an idea that reflect the themes of the game jam. Good job <3
Gostei da dublagem, jogo bem interessante!
Very interesting game. Love the concept. I wish I could understand a little more of the dialogue. Love the piano music without other SFX to muddy it. Voice work could be clearner next time. The line art really fits the style of game ( Makes me think diary of a whimpy kid).
The drawings are so pretty! I felt the characters were moving very slowly, to the point where it was more like a slideshow than a game. And the message was a bit in my face. Maybe don't send me back so far when I die in such a slow moving game? Either way - the art seems like a huge talent of yours. Maybe draw comics too? I would like to read them. Thank you for the game.
Short and fun. I really like the art style and the storytelling through atmosphere and visuals. Great job!
fantastic experience, great mood, good message.
the graphics and atmosphere are the best part about this game, the music and voice acting adds to the atmosphere ofcourse
Very well thoughtout game, really did make me think aboout stuff and so
Very nicely made game, it really brought across the message and set a mood. Loved the artstyle, well done ! Thank you for making this !
Very neat little story and game. Here's the timestamped link to the vod from the stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1003143985?t=4h11m1s
Very nice story, really enjoyed it!
Great experience! Very good story, art and mood. I really liked the music too. Even though it felt that the speed of the character was a bit too slow, the idea was well delivered. You might want to work on that in the future, to make the animation fit the character movement speed. But overall, good game and you've done a great job!
Very nice! I imagined there would be more content but of course this is only a game jam. I like that you guys did narration and a lot of cool art too! Good submission
There is very little gameplay but the main goal is to tell a story. The story itself touches a lot, it even seems that it is personal? In short, a nice little story, well told, the bland things play a lot.
What a lot of work for only one people. I really enjoy the visual and music. Good entry
Nice take on the theme. It took me a few times to realize that I don't necessarily have to time my jumps in the beginning (I died a few times). Nice jam!
Took me a bit to figure out what to do and without the authors hints while I was playing, I would have rage quit! Nice use of doodle art! Well done and thanks for sharing! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1003785681?t=4h19m11s
Congrats for the entry! It really creates a mood around the game's narrative! I think some tips for stucked players (like me) would be a nice next step for the project! Great approach for the jam's theme!
Projeto bem bacana, parceiro!
Sucesso, parceiro!!!
the animations are super well done, the narrative is very good
Awesome way to set up the mood! the color scheme was actually really plesant as well as the music. I look forward to seeing more from your narratives in the future
A little bit psychedelic xD. The graphics were nice, different than in other games.
really liked the graphics, very original concept, nice job!
An interesting narrative experience that works with a current and serious topic. The visuals of the game, the hand drawn characters and environment are great, I also liked how you animated the main character. I found the music really fitting to the mood, but the narrator's voice was disturbing for me as it had a deep tone and was not in English. I think you should add some sign or instruction to the cave layout, as I died 2 times before I realized that I had to run right. How you symbolized different emotional states was also interesting. It's a great entry, which I'd love to play again in a more lengthy, more detailed version.
Congratulations! :girl: :school:
I enjoyed the music and thought-provoking dialogue in this one (I appreciated the subtitles). I liked the simple animations and the concept behind the game. Your interpretation of the theme was interesting. I thought the experience was a little bit confusing / inconsistent as a game. Some elements were quite active, others were very passive. I'm also not sure about the ending. I think I finished? Thanks for sharing, best of luck in the jam!
It felt very intimate, introspective. The simplicity of the art makes this feeling even stronger, I think. I really liked it!
I uploaded our gameplay of your game on youtube, you can find it here: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=1F0Ywiy2Mt8&t=2095s
Thanks for being part of the stream, it was amazing!
Your game was really interesting! I love the graphical design direction. Hand drawn style worked wonder. The story is good, overall a very strong game!
Good job!
Really good storytelling and amazing interpretation of the theme, such a unique e experience! My only qualm was with the narration, the delay made it sound a bit goofy and cartoonish, which detracts quite a bit from the overall introspective mood of the game (a light use of a long reverb would have been much more welcome) and the sometimes dramatic and over the top interpretation felt a bit out of place as well
I like the paper graphics and the thematic approach :D
I feel like you could work on polish for the movement and add more interaction to make it feel more like a game!
Really like your take on the theme for your game! I think that creating a narrative from a theme in a weekend is really cool. Great work and would love to see what else you can create!
very nice narrative and the stylistic choice is not something i've seen a lot of, good work!
Thank you so much for a wonderful narrative game. I really enjoyed it.
Pretty good story. The art style is amazing. It looks like a comic, and a good one at that. I really like the voice lines, since you don't see them often in LD games. I did find a couple of bugs, but that's fine. Amazing game!
I like the visuals and the message of the game, a bit weird to play but the narrative is on point and that's the important here. Nice job.
I like the artwork, and the take of the theme, even if I did not manage to find how to get the proper ending. Well done!
fun game, had to run through again because i fell in the hole XD
Sweet and beautiful! The story and the art really fit each other, nice work!
bem feito! i played this on my stream. didn't win, but it was a cool experience. thank you
Eu acho a sua arte linda! Me ganha sempre na simnplicidade. A dublagem deu um toque especial. E em português então.... me cativou.
very nice little story! I'm not sure if I experienced it all; you said on-stream that I had missed an ending, but it took a bit too much time to get back for me to want to go back and find it...
I love that you're telling a vulnerable, heartfelt story here; the world could use more games like this :)
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007659333?t=06h52m52s
Wow, I really liked the graphics, the idea, the sounds, the animations. Slightly slow gameplay. But in general 5/5). Was it Japanese ?:D
@yeil Thank you wholeheartedly for your kind feedback, I’m very glad you liked it Javanese is the language spoken by the majority of the inhabitants of the Island of Java, and one of the official languages of Indonesia.
This was an interesting experience! Good work on the graphics and sound. It's a unique take on the theme. Well done!
I thought the moral implications of the story were pretty good, though they could have been executed a little bit better. The idea of becoming better and tuning out the haters so you can live up to your full potential really resonates with me, but the first level was pretty boring, I'm not sure if that is because the enemy didn't feel like it really gave me a sense of urgency or if it was just too slow paced. All it was is running and jumping there weren't any fall offs or anything. The second part where you see the memories was cute and played to the story well, but then randomly having the hole in the ground show up threw me out of the immersion not to mention going all the way back to the beginning and having to play through again to try again discouraged my engagement. Hope this is useful feedback!
@chrispy977 I was very happy and honored by your feedback, "Panamuan means discovery", she is confused and lost in her mind, the monster that tried to pega-la is the mind of Panamuan working negatively, after repeating mistakes of the past entering the negative loop, because This phase of the repetition process is uncomfortable."His answer is in the sad phase, don't go to the hole! flowers will give her answers like hers!" Very grateful heart, a big hug.
Really moody, atmospheric game! I enjoyed the graphics and the audio a lot!
I like the song choice and stark art style, which together create a strong atmosphere! Something I can suggest is to add a 'noise floor' to the audio (not sure what the correct term is); basically, if you add in some constant noise (white or pink), you won't notice the start/end of the noise surrounding the narration audio. If you can explain it as wind or waves or something that's even better!
[Thanks for submitting your game to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007626304?t=03h33m11s)
I'm always a fan of when creators inject their own personal stories into their games. Very nicely done!
I will say that I likely would have never encountered the "good ending" if I didn't have your guiding me step-by-step, though. I would recommend making it easier for the player to discover if it's really important to you for them to see that message. Otherwise, I can see a lot of players thinking this is a downer game that traps the player in a loop of sadness. :frowning2: Of course, that's not the point of the game, so I'm hoping as many people as possible get to experience the game how you intended them to!
Interesting! I understood the game as a criticism on the influence of social media/internet on one's self-confidence. The music was really nice and I liked the art!
I liked the art style and the overall concept of the game. The character moving extremely slowly but jumping extremely high felt a little awkward control-wise, and apparently there is a "good ending" that can occur, which was not made clear as for me as it repeated once I completed the game. Nice submission, and a more polished and slightly longer version of this game would be something I'd love to see.
sorry it took so long to write up the comment, i like the perspective you took on the game. it was subtle at the end to get it correct. great job on getting this completed and you should be proud of yourself for getting it done.
I liked the cartoony art style very much. Music was a good choice too, it keeps you in the mood. I liked tha massage the most I think. Coming up with a game like this is really great. Just a note, it can be a bit frustrating when you get stuck in a loop. Maybe some flowers could fly trough just before the end, from right to left to indicate the way. Because now it is hard for the user to get that clue. If I haven't read it from the chat I couldn't have find it.
Hey, stopping by after you left such great feedback on my entry. I actually played your game a few days ago but didn't leave a comment because I agreed with a lot of what other have already brought up. I really like your hand drawn art style. It's simple but effective and serves the game's overall tone well. Also quite liked the vocal effect you had on the voice lines. It actually really reminded me of Dormin from Shadow of the Colossus. Good work!
Art and Animation quite noice~ Good Job
Thanks for the feedback on my game, I'm here to return the favor. The hand-drawn look suits the mood effectively, the animations are smooth and expressive, and combined with the audio they are a great platform to convey the lovely message. I played through the loop once and figured out the good end on my second attempt, so I think you got the balance right making it just obscure enough that you don't notice it on the first playthrough. Gameplay-wise, I had the most fun in the platforming section and the controls were pretty tight. I felt that the school sections could use some more of a 'game' than just walking and still keep the mood. Overall, very nice job, I enjoyed this!
This was something different from a lot of the other games!
Good job with the visuals, story and mood! I felt the platforming jump should have jumped a little bit further.
Nice, Nice! Art style is very nice, the sounds and the voice fits very well with the vibe of the game. Also the movement of the character was very smooth - didn't expect that form this art style. And the story was very immersive. All and all a good job!
The art, music, and atmosphere are all well done. I think the subject matter regarding social media and the quest for fulfillment and gratification, and finding that in the wrong places... only to realize you should only be doing what makes you happy is a theme that resonates with me as well. Well done, this is a really nice little journey into the psyche of the modern mind.
if there is an art game category, this one fits really well into that! original and smooth
Thanks for submitting this game to my stream! The story was very heartfelt, thank you for sharing this story.
great art style and even voice acting well done!
A soothing very personal work! The art was nice, good job!
Great entry. Liked the line art, sound and the more philosophical approach to the theme.
Nice game ; is good to add story to game at begin  I like the mood but adding some colors and some improvement in level design
Very moody/atmospheric! Art style works well, and the music. Good work!
I liked it. This was a nice take on the theme. My only feedback is that it would be nice to restart at the school instead of the beginning of the game after going to "rock bottom". I liked that happiness was represented by the simple act of enjoying flowers as opposed to something more superficial.
Nice art, the child version of the main character was effective.
@arguablyarugula The bottom of the well represents the fall of consciousness leading the person to repeat the mistakes of the past, so it leads to the feeling of initial frustration, which is only broken on the sad screen, that instead of falling into the hole you change your attitude and start looking around him and begins to follow the path of happiness, represented by the appearance of flowers.
great artstyle, the voiceover and music are really impressive for a compo game, sorry if i missed your game earlier lol
Video playthrough, as promised: https://seafile.wheybags.com/f/05e24652373f4d8a9714/
Nice art! I gather there is some secret, but only because I saw a little of it on someone's stream and you were implying there was in chat. Unfortunately I didn't manage to find it.
Wow. I haven't read through previous feedback but man, this was a trip.
This is more a statement and a piece of art then a real game. I truly enjoyed this a lot and i like the message it gives. i wouldn't want to be young again in this day of age.
This is a game that really stands out of the pack, because the developer/artist decided to make something unique and original. Thank you for making this game!
Fun game. a little depressing. but stay where you are happy is nice. good story.
This was a really good entry! The mood and atmosphere is amazing, and it took me more than 1 play through to get to the "real" ending! Great work!
What a sweet game, I really loved it! The art style was really nice, simple but effective and cute. The music was quite soft and calming, really fitting for the ambiance of the game.
I'm not sure I understood exactly what was the monster at the beginning that was chasing us, but I was really moved by the scene at the school. I'm glad I follow the flowers :)
Good job!
Hello! Your game was played on stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on 5/05 (Day 3 of LDJAM streams).
You can find the timestamp of when your game was played here: https://tinyurl.com/LDJAM48-ursa
Great minimalistic art style, which is complemented by the nice audio. Intro with appearing words and story telling are a great touch with this kind of a "journey" game. I didn't really understand the level where you are chased and all you have to do is jump over some boxes, but afterwards you get nice environment with a meaningful story in the background. I would prefer if even the chase level had some kind of background that would fit the story as well. Also there was no indication that you can even go back in the last level, since in the chase one, you just die if you do, and the first one does not change a thing. Might be nice, if there is some kind of an indication in that regard, maybe just a few added objects, or possibly some other story mechanic, so to choice at the end seems more meaningful. All in all this is a great entry and really unique. Good job!
I really liked the art style and the story... I managed to find the right answer after a couple of try, nice message :-) I think everyone passed throught times like this in their life... this game reminded me of when I was young. Good job :-)
I will call it an experience. The Game looks really nice and I was supprised about some of the mechanics. I liked the Mood a lot and loved the deeper meanings and Story in the GAme.
A great Game and even a better experience.
Well Done, Really good
Nicely done! I unfortunately missed the key moment of the game where I'm not supposed to keep falling in to the pit endlessly haha. The concept is pure and creative. The execution and story telling are solid. Some suggestions:
(1) I would've been more inclined to find the "catch" of this game / play it to completion if the walk speed were higher. I understand that the pacing of the game matters and there are limitations in development for a jam. However, the fact that I looked like I'm walking quickly, but actually am moving very very slowly was unusual (not sure if intentional for the mood). If you wanted the player to actually move than slowly, the animation should've resembled a walk instead of a run :)
(2) The twist of this game is clever! (although I didn't discover it on my own, I had to watch a playthrough). I would've loved if the game had 3 or 4 of these twists that the player could discover on their journey. Again, I understand there are time limits involved here...
Great job!
This experience has great presentation! It looks good and sounds good. I love the cute stick-figure people.
The section where we're being chased starts off weird because I'm not ready to move. The monster comes and kills me before I realize what's happening. I think it may be better to let the player start walking before having the monster appear.
Walking through the school yard is interesting, again I love the little stick figure girl. But then I fall into a hole, and start everything all over again? So I played again, and didn't notice anything different, and then I fell in the hole to start everything all over... again? Reading through the comments I see there was something else I was supposed to do, but I think the punishment is too harsh on players who don't figure that out. Unfortunately I have low patience and just quit after falling into the hole again. Sorry.
There are a lot of things yall did really well! Art, music, sound, and animations are all good!
Good job on your game! Congrats!
@etrealjunior...
As soon as possible I will make my analysis. :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ5NvUWYiJM
Very strong message, and the visuals compliment it completely. But as far as being a game goes, I'm not sure that the content is necessarily there. Plays like a visual novel, but it ends too quickly for the emotions that it seeks to really set in. The game would do well with a little more time to tell the story and convey the feelings that it wants to.
**Analysis...**
1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow: There are three main mechanics, the first is free-fall mechanics, I suppose there is no way to lose at this stage (which could be altered in some way, perhaps getting more attempts at the second stage when collecting objects). The second mechanic consists of moving to the right while running away from something (it seems to be a creature or a negative thought), there are obstacles in the way and avoidance is the main thing to have a good result (not to lose). The third mechanic consists of moving away from the school, noting that there are figures that appear (they seem to give clues to some narrative). When the first time away from school ends, the scene repeats itself, but going to the end means losing (when I played for the first time I was left behind on moving away from the school, but I didn't get the first victory condition (this can be seen on video)). Learning how to play the second part takes one or two attempts, so the game easily teaches the gameplay of that part. Learning how to complete the game can be a bit more work, but there are clues (both in the figures that appear, as well as by the ball itself that starts moving in opposition to the "forward" movement of the player's character (PC)). The pacing of the game varies between "observing the narrative" and "psychological suffering", with some action challenge in the second stage (it seems to me a good way to convey the intended idea).
2 - Graphics, Audio and Narrative: Graphic art is simple and seems to fulfill what was intended for it. I just couldn't understand what my stalker was in the second half (with more precision), maybe it was the idea that it was like that. And, when I reached the end of the second stage, I could see the edge of the map detached from the bottom (not much). The art of the figures "that come and go" in the third part is a little difficult to understand, maybe it would be interesting to give them a little more clarity or time on screen (but it is very good for the time of the event). The dubbing audio seemed to me to come in a tone that took me away from the message a little, or brought it in a very painful way, because it made me laugh a little. The music they chose for the background gave some depth, I wish they had used something authorial, but because the time is short, maybe it was the best. The narrative seemed to me to be based on some kind of reflection on depression or something similar (I didn't fully understand why the dpener girl returned to school, I don't know if it was someone who liked her, a brother or something; I was curious ).
3 - Culture: The game makes use of psychological themes in an environment that takes part in reality and part in the mental world. The sensation of falling, the sensation of escaping with obstacles and the "ghosts" with different narrative sensations greatly enrich this character.
4 - Monetization: I suppose the game, with some changes, could sell on itch.io itself (for example, giving a different clue when you leave school and "losing", with some meaning that does not lead to defeat, but reflects on the choice (I'm not sure )); or, with a greater number of alterations, it could be used as a serious game (hence there would be great interventions by trained professionals).
**Analysis...**
Nice game. Great art-style. Love the deep thoughts! Well Done.
Nice character design. The audio is immersive, the mood is intense. Agree with @ismael-rodriguez it may be better to let the player start walking before having the monster appear. Maybe the character is little bit too slow, it's a bit frustrating. I would like the ability to choose to run or walk.
Overall, great experience.
5 star mood right here. Your game hit me right in the feels.
Thank you for stopping by to my stream!
The puzzle was a bit tricky. Which doesn't mean to be bad.
Keep up the good work!
Great mood, audio and music. I also really liked the art style. I was a little confused about the gameplay, I got to an exit and then it restarted. Perhaps something a little quicker then falling again would be useful the second time around (or fall quicker?). One little nit picky thing was there was a bit of a fuzzy background tone to the audio voice recordings I found distracting. Very fun and interesting game overall tho! Good job!
Such a cool game, thanks for submitting it. Lovely graphics and nice music too. Felt so personal, keep making games. Kudos.
I really liked the smoothness of the animations. I also thought that the music and the narrators voice were perfect!
Well done using simple graphics to evoke strong emotions! The voice was excellent and added to the feeling along with the characters expressions and the memories after the chase part.
Big hugs to you too, and thanks for stopping by my stream, I'm glad you shared this with me!
Lovely art, it was pretty moody and it definitely touches _a thing_ on these times. Great submission, congrats!
Really awesome story game with cool underlying themes! Played it live at https://www.twitch.tv/leyamez
Was confusing to understand, and the flowers weren't clear enough to go back at the start needed twitch chats help lol!
Awesome story and awesome game! Loved the hand drawn art!
I enjoyed this a lot! The art style was unique and consistent, and you had a real message behind it. I would say that if you hadn't let me know about the flowers during the stream I probably wouldn't have noticed them, but I'm glad I did! Great job!
It is such a great experience, though I have a problem, I don't know how to rate it, I can't say it's fun nor especially beautiful, the graphics work really well with the ambience and the story, but are quite simple, there is no humor, and you opted out the audio category. But I loved it, so it will make a strange rating, 5 in overall, 5 in mood, but quite low ratings in other categories. However I think these kind of games are not quantifiable in terms of rating, so i can only say congrats, that's one of the games I will remember after the jam. And if I may, it kind of reminded me of one of the greatest experience I had with a game, with the beginners guide, by Davey Wreden. Play it if you haven't, it's a perl, and it talks about creativity and game dev.
really lovely art style on this one! The parallax scrolling is cool, and it's an interesting take on the theme. Congrats!
Very cool entry! I love the use of parallax, and the music really set the mood. Well done! :)
Strange little game, but I loved the graphical style! The music was suitably sombre, but could do with more sound effects. Good work!
That's a cool game! Music is really atmospheric! And I found flowers, that led me to a good ending, I liked spin on theme, that you must not go deeper and deeper in your sadness. Instead, just follow good things in your life!
Thank you for sharing this game with me. It was an honor to play it.
Please, please don't use copyrighted music next time because it damages gameplay videos/streams.
Very nice job on the atmosphere. I liked how the hand-drawn aesthetics played with the music and the themes.
It's more of an experience than a game game, but it's quite touching.
This game was very deep -very nice job on the mood. The art was great and the narration added to the mood nicely! A work of art -fantastic job on this game! :D
I love the minimal art style, I really appreciate the solid complete lines for the drawings, very well done. The music was appropriate for the situation at hand. The game play was nice and had a mysterious feeling as you try to figure out what to do next. Thank you for your work here I can really appreciate this.
Liked the theme and really loved the visuals! Tho I agree with fabula-rasa that it's more of a experience than a game since the gameplay is just going right. But overall a nice entry!
As you know, I've played the game live:

My experience with this game has been a bit jarring. For example, I think the mid segment with the platforming was one of the better moments in the game, while the beginning setup was completely forgettable. The last section had a bizarre whiplash for me where the moment-to-moment imagery is really good, but I found the final message to be extremely discouraging. I nearly just quit the game after that.
I think part of the reason why the better parts work has to do with the fact that I have a strong reaction to the chase sequence. Furthermore, that "panic" helps the narrative since it's in-sync with the story that's being conveyed. Likewise, the "happy" memory part in the third act works pretty well given it's directly after the chase-segment. So the act doubles as a breather and reflective moment. It's a bit disappointing, then, the first act and the second-half of the third act feels like a disjointed cutscene. The gameplay in the first act does nothing to reinforce the story, and the second-half of the third act is exactly the same as the first, happy half: it's a jarring experience that the gameplay for the two halves are exactly the same. I would have expected the second half's gameplay to have some sort of struggles to convey the more sad parts.
I've mentioned the ending of the final act was really discouraging: this is probably a perk of English, but just saying, "No, you're making the wrong decision" is a *really* fast way to drop players' interest. In short, it puts the player in the defensive, since in their mind, the game "made" them make the wrong decision. Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if anyone ended up being insulted by the wording of that final line. I recommend phrasing that last sentence as a question, e.g. "What could have I done differently?" to encourage the player to not feel disheartened or defensive, and consider trying something new.
I like the visuals and the voices and the way memories are embedded in the third scene. I didn't managed to find the true ending, but saw it in the video above. Overall cool entry!
More than a game, this is an experience, I would say!!
it looks sooooooo cool, great yet simple art :clap_tone1: :clap_tone1: :clap_tone1:
I would suggest a couple of things: - at first run is not easy to see there's another path, and when you repeat it all again, the scene where you fall is quite long, maybe you can put an skip button when it is the 2nd time you see it - it would be nice to have more choices (once per each scene of this girl for example)
overall, great work :thumbsup_tone1:
I think this game is really well done! Acting is good and sets the tone. Only issue I have is with the pacing. I understand the choice of the reinforcing negative feed back loops that put you deeper in depression, perhaps having a sunken place level that leads back to the happy phase and real ending?
With the time constraint, very few bugs. Only bug I found was that the character can move before the monster spawns in the second level.
Still, great job!
Cool game. I like the story focus. I would have preferred a faster pace of the intro and gameplay.
Gosto do som, e especial a dublagem.
I'm a huge fan of the art and presentation, and for a solo effort jam I think it's very solid. The theme feels like it's a little heavy handed at the start, but it's carried by the artwork and stage backgrounds as well as the actual level design. I do feel that the gameplay for the second half isn't exactly clear on objectives, and there are lots of little issues and things that are probably more due to lack of time than anything. I think the second half of the game just needs a little more clarity, which is of course a tough line to draw when you're trying to leave some things up to player discovery. As a stopgap, I think the backtracking all the way to the intro on failure might be a little too strong of a punishment as it leads to a lot of repetitiveness.
Overall, great work! It's cool seeing a more story/presentation-oriented entry in the jam.
Congrats! Great entry! Great story telling, liked the narration.
