I didn't understand what to do :(
clicking the mouse sends a signal but nothing happens when the heart overlaps the outline or when it hits the guy i legitamately think the game doesn't work
I think that hearts should collide with persons but it didn't :C But arts is nice)
I think some colliders do not seem to work in the web build. Even if the heart hits the person, nothing happens. Good you had the skip button so I could advance a few maps to see what puzzles you have laid out... I think a nice, clean puzzle game - so a great jam entry!
@no-firing @msipp27 @tweekus @hotaloca thanks for the heads up. This is some strange difference between Firefox and chrome... Will look into it
I could not figure out what the working pattern is. sorry
@no-firing @msipp27 @tweekus @hotaloca @mdotedot Sorry for the inconvenience! I pushed a hotfix, so it should work now in chrome in case you want to try it out again
@oadt Now it's work! Good game ^^
Yeah! Now it is working and I got the patterns! Thank you for the hotfix.
It's a nice little puzzle game. It's well executed...the sound was fun and disturbing :)
Super neat concept I like it very much the sway of the sprites is really nice!
I would have liked for the projectiles to move a little faster and for the noises to have some pitch variation so they don't get quite so repetitive. I'm thankful for the skip button because I got hard stuck on the one with the two hearts. I feel like it should really show before firing where the projectile will move. Some walls just swallow it others turn it one direction yet others into another one. Having keybinds for the different shots would have been nice too!
Really polished, had loads of fun puzzling it out. Nice SFX
I love the SFX and the graphics with the little swaying characters. Cute puzzle game!
The graffics and sound are cute, and the puzzles are fun, though i didnt understand how i moved the array itself, just sorta happened
Nice lil puzzle game - did you prototype this in puzzlescript? As others say, it would be great if the arrows move a bit faster but otherwise I really enjoyed this. Good job!
Really good concept and lovely art, good job :D (just a little slow for me but i love the game)
Ah I tried this yesterday and was confused, but it looks like you fixed the bug on the Itch page - nice!
Its a cute little puzzle game. The graphics are simple but polished and its pretty appealing on the eyes. The levels themselves seem simple at a glance but as you play through them, the mechanics start to show depth (in a good way). For instance, the target "love interest" (man? lol) being placed away from a corner at the start but having him move into a corner later makes for different shooting decisions.
However, there isn't really any "pressure" or driving force to prevent me from just spamming arrows, and also after the first few levels I was really wishing there was some kind of fast-forward mechanic as it got tedious to wait for everything to arrive at destinations. And I do wish there was a different kind of shooting sound on the bow, and some kind of hypercasual soundtrack would have done wonders!
Such a solid entry all around. Great work!
Cute puzzle game! Really liked the graphics, simple but effective :)
Clever! I really like the idea here. Execution is super as well :)
Honestly super clever - it started off simple the whole bit about sending signals to yourself in order to move opens up a super interesting wrinkle and I feel like there's a lot of potential to expand on it! Also I love the trio of flirting: I like you, I hate you, BLAST WAVE. Good job!!!
Next time I'm hitting on someone i won't forget to use my Blast Wave. Cool game
I love the vibe of this. Sound and visuals etc. were so fun. I just wish the hearts moved faster lol
Atrocious (in a good way) sound effect, bravo
A perfect puzzle game. The level design is brilliant and stays perfectly true to the theme. It creates infinite possibilities from simple mechanics, and the attention to detail and game feel are both top-notch
Quite a cool interpretation of the theme, I liked the idea that you give the creatures several commands at once + their execution depends on the direction of the projectile. Another interesting thing is that you can get into your own hero and give him a command. Like it.
Quite enjoyed this one, both in terms of theme/mood and as a clever puzzle experience! The sound effects especially made me chuckle. The interface looks really good and this was an excellent jam entry. Well done!
Fun idea. Switching modes, aiming direction, and shooting timing require some real-time actions. If it's able to speed down, it can reduce the difficulty.

@mikan Oh wow, thank you very much for the video!
This is a neat puzzle - it's cool that you managed to add quite a few variations on the core idea. The mechanic of going around corners allows for a lot of neat gimmicks. I really liked the polish of the heart transition between levels, and being able to skip ahead is a nice idea to make sure people who aren't great at puzzles like me have a chance to see everything  The fact that it's a set of "like, hate, and _BLAST WAVE_" made me laugh. The super sharp high-pitched noise when shooting was brutal though!! :skull:
This is a great puzzle game that crams several layers of discovery into a neat little package. The depth is super impressive design for a weekend project!! Some reveals genuinely gave vibes of Baba Is You and similar games, that's a big compliment.
Art is simple and minimal, but in a way that really works. Embracing a limitation and turning it to your advantage is one of those great LD skills, and you've nailed it here. The characters bobbing around, the bow chasing your cursor with bouncy overcorrection, all great details.
Cute, funny, great puzzles. Thanks for the game!
Excellent use of a seemingly simple mechanic, with very diverse levels — at times I really had to think hard! Excellent work!
There’s a lot more depth to this than there appears at first glance; I was delighted when it introduced the “love yourself” mechanic because that adds so many possible wrinkles to the puzzles. The art’s minimalist but it works—I appreciated that you kind of elevated the pixel art with the fluid motion and drop shadows. Nice work.
It looks cute and quite nice. I also like the animations!
Nice visuals with really good feedback, and the sounds were great too. Puzzles aren't my thing, but I made it to the level with 2 characters. Overall I appreciated it — cleanly done. Especially loved that the game teaches you how to play as you go.
I love it ! Very clever puzzle game with unique gameplay !
I like how incredibly complex this game gets with just these basic rules! Together with the clear art style it is a really polished experience. Especially with how minimalist it presents itself and then just goes all in with difficult puzzles
I'm a huge fan of puzzle games and this one is a standout. The minimalist look fits perfectly. Such a great Compo entry. I liked how you implemented the 'signals' concept. Great work @oadt
Yessss, the final level that brought it all together, perfect! Man that felt amazing when it clicked. The progression of the abilities is amazing in this game. I remember thinking it would be awesome if the puzzle incorporates realtime elements, and then it did! THere was always what felt like a tutorial level for a new ability and then a difficult puzzle with the new ability at its core, that was such a perfect learning curve. And then of course like I already mentioned the final levels bringing it all together. When shooting yourself came back after several levels as part of the solution... chef's kiss.
Also a genius take on the theme, dating signals is such a good idea, I love it. The retro art style worked well, I feel like it called forth some sokoban vibes, especially when the boxes and blast wave came in. And of course the sfx, the one when you get hit by love and hate are great, I love them so much. Amazing puzzle game, awesome job all around!
Cute and colourful puzzle; the sounds the guy makes is SO funny :) I like to imagine you recorded the sounds for the game yourself :) It's so fun to create your own audio for the game ^^
It does feel a bit slow when you wait for the heart to complete its path, and then the guy makes just a few moves at a time. I was surprised to notice I can move the bow itself with that red heart too! Kinda assumed it was just for the guy. Interesting twist! And it seems the game keeps adding on stuff, with the "hate you" signal for the guy to go in the opposite direction!
Then I squashed a guy with a box... Well, he looks fine! :D
The skip button is very thoughtful. That way I could skip levels I didn't understand / was struggling with and still complete other levels ^^ Smart to add it in a jam entry so everyone can check out all the levels even if they are struggling with the puzzles! At least for me these are not easy x)
I really enjoyed this game! I'm loving the art style shift to vectorized graphics! The game looks so crisp! Also, it's funny, but after playing enough OadT-likes I have finally begun noticing your style for recording sfx and I love it lolll.
I really loved how the game is designed to appear visually simple and straight forward, but there is so much underlying complexity derived from the level design and the bow mechanics. Some of your later puzzles are VERY big brain, but for the ones I was able to solve I felt like a genius. I think my feedback (especially for those later levels) would be to add a setting to control the game's tick speed, since some of those later levels require a lot of trial and error (especially if you have no clue where to start lol), so it'd be nice to speed things up while I iterate.
Overall another OadT gem, and I'm always happy to see you participating in the LudumDare!
Pretty cool puzzle game! Mechanics are simple, but together they combine into a compelling experience. And a difficult one! Might be because I'm a bit tired, but I had to skip a couple of levels at first and return to them later. One of them was the "multiple signals" one, which felt pretty tough until I realised it was all about timing. Figuring it out felt really good, which is a great thing to have in a puzzle game. Nicely done!
Graphics are really cool, I like the clean style. On one hand it looks like a classic Atari-era game, on another nice fluid animations make it all feel really smooth. Sound-wise it is pretty nice too! Interaction clicks make it feel responsive, and the "target" reactions just made me laugh out loud. :D Shame you couldn't add some light music in the background, but yeah, limited time and all that.
So far I haven't finished the final level yet, but I feel like I'm close. I'm gonna try it again tomorrow, maybe with a fresh look at it I'll see what I'm missing today. ;)
Simplistic, but neat and effective presentation and GREAT puzzles, I love how the difficulty gradually evolves! Moving yourself almost feels like breaking the game in a hacky sense, hehe. It was a satisfying package! A speed-up button would have been nice, but it's okay since each individual puzzle isn't super long.
Really nice entry!
Super clever puzzles! Every level challenged me to think about the mechanics differently. I ended up having to skip a couple of them, but I will be back for a rematch when I have more time to really think them through!
This is the kind of puzzle game that inspires me. It's going on my "I dream of coming up with something this elegant" list, and I will be taking notes on my next playthrough!
Awesome puzzle game. I didnt do them all but i will one day. The title was quite misleading, i thought it would be a visual novel or somthing close.
